Thanks for showing me i can hold the bulb in one hand while firing it. There's designs on the web you can build your own for cheap if you have a 6.3 volt filament transformer laying around using a 555 timer and an N-FET. Good luck.
That button operation on the blue tester looks like a safety feature. This is an example of why equipment should always come with an instruction manual however brief with a safety warning in this case.
I just got one but when I got it to work it looked like the tip was going to catch on fire that's when I pressed down on the buttion so quickly I blow it out right before it gotion any biger when can this happen?
