Hello please I've got few questions 1. Can someone use phone to configure ip cameras? 2. When configuring the camera which password did you key in? Is it the password set up at the initial time while setting up the NVR? 3. You said we have to ensure that the adding method is manual now how many adding methods does it have? sorry maybe i missed it, but what is the purpose of connecting the access point? to be able to connect wirelessly later? because you were connected through ethernet cable through out the process.

You don't need a Switch PoE, you can connect directly from the router to the NVR and from the NVR to the cameras.

There is software to put on a computer, but a computer is not made to process a lot of information 24/24, the NVR is a device specially designed to manage a continuous flow of data. Yes you can buy a computer powerful enough to do what the recorder does but it costs less a computer

Hello…. I have cat 6 cables running in my walls going to different rooms. I am thinking about installing NVR security cameras via POE…. My question is can POE cat 6 cables and regular cat 6 run together? Will there be interference or heating from POE cables?

Might be able to get a cheap used analog camera but the wire running is more work, picture quality is usually worse and the ends are much more susceptible to oxidization in my experience. Everything coming out from now on will be POE or a new technology unknown to me. Go POE unless you find an absolute steal of a deal.

Any Hikvision camera works with any hikvision recorder, you can also put cameras that use the ONVIF protocol, I did a project with more than 120 cameras, I used about 15 models depending on their location, their water resistance, the necessary precision, etc. It takes a basic knowledge to commissionning the system but hikvision is the easiest to program

@@irshadahmedsyedif you don’t use an NVR you won’t be able to save any footage your camera captures unless you have an SD card camera or something similar. Then you would need to swap your SD cards and transfer data to where you want it
