This is just more detailed version of one version of the split wing technique.
this one is rather more complicated but very useful for delicate flies and delicate presentations...
I forgot to mention in the video, maybe its obvious, this way you can make spent patterns and cripples... just change the angle of the wings...
partridge is here just for aesthetics, looks really cool :)
Thank you for your time
Tight lines
Vladimir

Congratulations on this one. Unusual selection of materials with stunning result. Thank you for a fresh look at a traditional pattern

Thank you. Glad you like it. Why unusual materials? (I got inspired by some fly that Oliver Edwards tied with same wings, not my idea)

A great mayfly representation and your technique for eliminating the CDC stems in the wing is very clever. Thank you for posting this video.

Druže od svega što gledam na YT a da je vezano za motanje muva, tvoji klipovi su ubedljivo najbolji, kao i muve koje motaš. Hvala ti za savete i za ideje. Veliki pozdrav!!!

Another fantastic lesson on how to build separate wings and how to use CDC feathers of different lengths. Thank you Vladimir for all the tips you share with us.

Very nice combination of materials. Coq de Leon is the best and most durable tail material I have ever used . Nicely done!

Thank you so much. By making variations in the wing angle you can get a spent, dun.... Wet fly(with less cdc and more partridge)....

Very nice Vladimir! Really like the way you wing this pattern! I don't use a lot of dry flies but I will be tying up a couple of these but I'll probably substitute a "super fine" dubbing (like beaver) for the thorax because it dubs tighter and is buoyant. Cheers!

What floatant would you use with the mix of cdc and soft hackle partridge feather as the wing looks a great fly probibly works well in broken water?
@Oholisfliesandfishing
@Oholisfliesandfishing 3 года назад
Usually i dont use floatant. But if necessary i use cdc oil since cdc is there to support fly. For bodies made of dubbing u can add some floatant too
