Class isn't hard atleast wasn't for me. I take my test in couple days. If your not good with a trailer practice with your personal vehicle can even rent a uhaul trailer if u don't own a trailer they're cheap like 20 30$ a day. Do research on the school don't go to one with terrible reviews unless it's only option like was for me... usually atleast in my state u have to take a class prior to taking permit test was 2 days but pay close attention!!! So u can pass the permit test also do alot of practice test online they really really help since there's tons of information they give u in those 2 days.
Your information and directions are very clear. I am attempting to get CDL A in NY at 50. Wish i did sooner. I have been driving professional field for over 20 years but this is new. Thank you 👍
Best demonstration video 👏👏 absolutely covered everything for the road test like personal driving left and right turns and driving habits for a professional and a safe driver.. thanks a lot learned a lot form this video
just finished school here and attained my Class A CDL. Best school and program by far. From the second you register til you get your certificate and trophy, the support and encouragement is second to none. You have to do the work, learn the pre trip, learn the driving, but daily experience on REAL trucks (no simulator bs) is unbeatable.
You will be disappointed, finding out you work slave hours and never see your family, not to mention you lose all your rights. And avoid these recruiters too they are nothing but scam artist making a quick buck off your slave labor. Kiss your family goodbye
I had a strict instructor, retired State Trooper sittting in my cab. On a hot day make sure your air conditioner and or inside fans work of the examiner may tell you that creates fatigue, an unsafe driving condition. As your turning, keep your head rockn and rollin left to right in the mirrors. And most importantly across tracks, move fast and don't hit any curbs and your good.
This was a very helpful and informational video!! I am turning 29 in a couple of weeks and I am studying for my CDL A permit. I can't wait to go to school and learn how to drive! This made me feel pumped and ready to take my road test well before I even have to take it. I will be looking at it again, over and over, closer to when my real road test will be. Thank you so much for this!
Today I got my CDL and I wanted to thank you for all the advise, I literally would walk my dog listening and memorizing this video and I killed it during the test , awesome video and thank you again !
@@rodwellkennedy4703 As you can see at 0:10 he is actually using seat belt, so me either dont know why the system always warns that "check your seatbelt"
Nice if you take the test in automatic especially for a new driver, I’m taking my test with manual transmission and it’s hard you have to do down shifting and up and must done fast and sometimes you can’t make it on time when you’re approaching a red light.
My CDL test was more complicated then this one My tester forgot to ask me how high a bridge was until i safely parked the vehicle back at the school but I knew it was 15'9" passed with flying colors and taught an mentor how to back a trailer with surgical precision and he didnt know about loading the clutch on huge hills so you dont roll back at all
I passed dmv by checking in and out. They check my id said veteran and The examier thank you for your service and you passed the exam. Wasted my time of dmv and schooling.
Amigo corrígeme si estoy equivocado, pues tengo entendido que si estoy en una doble línea a la derecha debería estar en la línea izquierda y no en la derecha ? Espero tu corrección
Great video in the end you forget to mention before entering to parking area you need to clear first where you go before make turn some times there is trucks coming out or cars and you need to be sure getting area clear some poeple fail exam no doing this .
@@WoodworkingforAnyonefalse Lolol. All the job is is driving. It’s not rocket science. Plenty of jobs with automatics he’ll just have a restriction on the license. Who cares. The money will spend the same
Changing lanes in a commercial vehicle is very important...the scenarios you did were best case scenarios - no traffic...so you signal, check the mirrors & if it is clear, you switch lanes perfectly! But, what if it wasnt clear to change lanes because of the volume of traffic, what do you do?
What if you were on a multilane road as in on a highway...of course, you cannot stop...so, again, how would you teach someone to do it? @@joshuadavis6450
I was like 10 minutes into the video when I realized you're not shifting lol. After I got out of the Army, I lived in Germany as a civlian...got my class A over there and drove for a couple of years. I never purused it here...but now I am 60, wondering if I am too old to start here.
On that double lane turn, aren't you supposed to use the outside lane? Its the one that gives your the biggest turning radius and protects you and the other driver, otherwise they would be in your blindside wouldn't it?
Pardon my confusion: But what do you mean; "faster then normal," speed when entering a highway? Since trucks are legally obliged to follow state mph signs, does speeding above the speed limit only apply to when it comes to merging on the highway?
There are apps that ask what state you're testing in so then the questions are tailored to your state. Good Luck. I'm doing my driving test on October 4th
I have an adjacent question, what happens if you're taking your road test and you have to switch lane and lets say the people driving cars are being rude and wont let you switch lanes, whats the protocol for that?
Never did I intend to get my cdl but I have to because I'm trying to apply for an electrical lineman apprenticeship and I gotta have this damn thing lmao. I'm more terrified to drive a rig than I am of heights
