Yeah, the CDT is the least maintained and most “wild “ of the triple crown. I remember watching Dixie...and seeing how challenging that trail is...be safe out there ladies.
That was freaking awesome!!! Y’all are amazing!!! So excited to virtually follow along with y’all on your journey. Thank you so much for taking the time to share it! 🎉👏👏👏🎉🎉👏👏 HAPPY TRAILS!!!
I remember watching Dixie from Homemade Wanderlust on her hike of the CDT and how she kept losing the trail. In fact, her compilation movie at the end of the hike was called Choose Your Adventure since everyone ends up hiking it a little differently. Enjoy your adventure!
Excited and happy... in spite of the hardships. Stay safe...and excited and happy. Absolutely beautiful video. I’m happy to follow along via video... thanks!
You all reminded me about why I love the CDT so much. The Great Basin will make your lips crack and bleed, even with lip balm. You are walking the Basin at the best time of year though. Thank you for the video!!
I recognize those areas and yes so dry...but so beautiful! You guys have so many memories made!! I can't wait to see you all in Montana! More snow unfortunately but more beauty too!!stay strong!
You ladies are cool to do this together, inspiring. Thanks for laying down a dose of reality for all of us, beautiful world out there to see, not always what you expect, be prepared, but go for it, was the message I'm getting. These videos are very comforting to people stuck inside, and lets them explore, so thank you for this. You seem like three wise women, I will be following this journey.
I saw the snow in Rockies this week and immediately thought of you struggling on that trail. No doubt you’d make it through with wry humor! (And a compass! It’s the CDT after all!) Great start! Love the roadside campsite!
You ladies are awesome. So different from the A.T. This is going to be a beautiful, scary, dangerous adventure and I'm so glad you are taking us along. Your attitudes are wonderful. Take care, be safe.
There are so many things I love about this video. Firstly, watching you all just sitting around, talking trash about how the trail has been beyond hard. Then the images you captured and shared with us about how the CDT is not like any other long trail in the USA. It certainly isn’t for the faint of heart. I am so happy you are taking the effort to record this and share it with us. And, I was wondering if Pesky had managed to track you all down. I guess so. Hike on.
Yay! Episode 1 of the CDT! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Two inches of snow fell here in Guffey when you were on day 1 of the trail and I was thinking of you guys, praying you were able to stay warm. I've got the Guthooks app for the Wyoming section of the trail. It is kind of fun 'seeing' the trail through that technology. It helps imagine what you are going through. Then with the warmer weather returning, I have been hoping you are having a fantastic time on the trail. 👍. Thank you so much for the videos. 🙏🏼💕
you ladies are bad asses and a true inspiration. Thanks for bringing us along on this adventure. I can't wait to see where you take us next. Stay safe.
Oh, lord.....watching Lynn scrap the ice off her tent.....brr! 😨. Yep, had to laugh at her comment, "never ,never have I done this..". I would not want to get out of my sleeping bag, either.
Thanks for posting. I’ve never been out west so your hike is my intro. Looks tough! But beautiful. My feet would have been hamburger on that gravel road. Keep strong and safe. So glad you all have company! This old fart is eagerly awaiting your next post.
so glad you 3 are together on this journey. the challenges don't stop you. Guthook to the rescue. best wishes on this journey. look forward to upcoming posts.
I discovered you wander women just before you started the PCT hike and love following your vlog. I'm home sick so I am now going back and watching the CDT. Just saying, you are 3 tough ladies!!! Loving it!
Even with all the challenges you talked about (from 9 foot snow drifts, to pouring water up your parched nose) lol! I can tell you are in you are all in your element. You got this ladies. Thanks for taking us along again!
What!!!! NO white blazes to follow. What kind of trail is this LOL!!!! Great to see Pesky is close by and doing well. You Feral cats had a great 1st week. Can't wait to see whats next. Give us some shots of those beautiful wild flowers when you come across them. Hike on!
The highlight of my morning to see you guys had posted a video. Cup of tea, feet up and enjoyed it immensely! My backpack is ready waiting for the lifting of restrictions on the 4th ofJuly. Keep going, keep posting and thank you.
Yikes! Those fallen trees! I agree with every breath of air Annette was expressing crawling on the ground. I've always known you three had real 'grit' , but now you are taking it to a whole ' nother level. 😲
My father and grandfather were both forest rangers (Colorado, Wyoming Montana etc. I was born in Montana) They would tell you that over 10k feet you have to be prepared for snow any day of the year. (I was born in august and it snowed the day I was born.) Glad to see you having fun. Nice to see home again...
