This boat ride at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, transported guests on a relaxing trip around Cedar Point's lagoon. It was originally known as "Western Cruise" but was renamed "Paddlewheel Excursions" in 1986. Shore scenes depicting early Americana. The ride's best feature was the offbeat humor of its boat captains. Closed on Labor Day 2011 to make room for 'Dinosaurs Alive'
Our family lugged around one of the original video cameras that connected to the full-size "portable" VCRs of the day.

Aw, I have sweet childhood memories of the "old" Cedar Point before it became clogged with coasters roaring by just feet above heads and loud rock music blaring from every corner. You used to be able to find a quiet peaceful spot to rest and people watch. Now there's noise, noise, noise everywhere.

I really loved this ride. When I got older I would interact with the captains and it made the ride a lot more fun!

I went to Cedar Point when I was 11 years old in 1979. This was one of my favorite rides when I went there.

Remember how awesome these days were ? Geauga Lake was the little sister of Cedar Point - loved it .

My memory may not be accurate but I think it was in a section call Pioneer town or frontier town something to that effect and I vaguely remember it being nearby bumper cars
