Nice tour. I've been inside the other ones but not these. The Fireworks were part of the Cedar Point Night festivities on the beach mid-July thru Aug. They always shot them off the beach by Wicked Twister (which is where the 4th of July Fireworks have always been) it looked better and was a better view from the beach to the park. What your Mom is referring to is the last season they did that they shot them off where Sandcastle Suites hotel was. Which worked great for you guys but were too far away with no rides in the backdrop on the beach.

Mike Bass if you look on a map, the nearest gate is right next to the station for magnum xl 200, kind of near the waterpark entrance as well. Very easy walk from our cottage, but since the cottages are very spread out, some walks are longer than others. Certainly manageable regardless of where you end up!
