It's funny you caught the Michael Jackson inspiration. He's 100% her biggest idol and said she was motivated to learn English because she wanted to be able to actually speak to him if she ever met him. She's covered Man in the Mirror plenty of times and even had it as part of her setlist in her Vegas residency from like 2011-2015. I love Celine so much. 1996 Celine was a god. Literally untouchable. She's got soooo many good performances to react to if you want to. Les blues du businessman, Calling You, Only One Road, Where Does My Heart Beat Now (The Tonight Show), The Power of the Dream (live at the Olympics), or Tous les blues sont ecrits pour toi from 2016 or 2017. She performed the last song on both summer tours--her voice is in better condition in the 2017 performances. She hit a Bb5 in a run in one of the 2016 performances but sustains a G#5 belt in every performance. The Reason from her 2017 tour is another fantastic performance--she adds high notes into it that weren't even in the original recording. Her voice is REALLY in good condition today.

I think this is one the more "moody" songs she's done in the sense that it seems to be all about the atmosphere it creates. Maybe it's just me but I felt the end of song to be very sad..... which isn't bad but one needs to be in the right "mood" to be receptive to this. Listen to this after a break up and you fall to pieces for sure.

maybe you would love to see her duet performance with ginette reno..title song....un peu plus haut...200 000 people some are crying..some sing...and others are amazed by the history they are witnessing because celines husband was first ginette renos manager she ..ginette...was renes golden voice...but ginette had kids..and wasnt ready for an international carreer....and...the two singing together....breathtaking....
