Congratulations to the greatest offensive catcher in MLB history for finally making it to the Baseball Hall of Fame!
I do NOT own the clips in the video. I simply edited them. Full credit to FOX, MLB, MLBN, SNY, YES, ESPN, TBS, Fox Sports, FS1 and the New York Mets for all clips.

Crazy to think he is a MET HOF. Should have never left the Dodgers. So many years watching him as a kid in LA. My first Dodger I loved

Shame that he never won a ring, he deserved one.

He deserved a ring and first ballot Hell, this man deserved history to be re-written so that he was a lifer Met (like Jeter/Yanks) with at least one World Series win, even if it was the 2000 one (and I'm a Yankee fan...from NY)

As a kid who came to love the game and the Mets in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Mike was my first sports hero, To have him on my favorite team was just awesome for me. I made it a point to never miss one of at-bats in his years with the Mets. Even though the Mets were mostly underdogs in his time with them, his presence on the team made me believe that a World Series championship was always possible. Every time he stepped to the plate, I expected a home run each time. He was just that kind of player. As a player and a person, he was and is humble and let his deeds on and off the field do the talking for him. This is what has made me idolize him even to this day in my adulthood. I knew the day would come when he would get into Cooperstown. Now that it has, I am just so happy for him. I hooted and hollered when the Class of 2016 was announced. I become more elated when announced that he'd go in as a Met. I am just beaming right and this video makes me beam more and more every time I watch it. It truly captures Mike as I saw him growing up. Thank you for that. I am very much looking forward to the summer when he's enshrined in baseball immortality.

lovemuffin1963 yeah we know David Ortiz will be, and he was on juice (confirmed) he was a dh. They always hate N.Y. that much more why it is so hard to be a jet met isle knick fan. Joe Klecko not in hof is a joke. What a disgrace people have against the underdog teams of this city. Piazza is the best catcher of all time. He was underrated defensively. Commands a great game for pitcher's (such an underatting stat). His only down fall was not being able to throw out at 2nd. Johnny bench or Mike no other

The home run after the 9/11 events may be the most important home run in baseball history because of what it meant outside of baseball. It gave New York a reason to smile and cheer at a time when there was no reason to be happy.

I don’t think we’ll realize just HOW good he was until 50 years down the road. I’ll be an old man, listening to baseball announcers talk about him like we talk about Stan Musial or Ted Williams. And I can tell the kids about the 9/11 game. Or how I saw him hit them into the parking lot at Shea, or how he owned Roger Clemens. How I’d see him play for the Dodgers and wonder why he couldn’t just play for the Mets. Then he did. In his prime. And to think that every team passed over him 61 times in the draft and he was only drafted as a courtesy because his dad and Lasorda were good friends.

For every moderns Mets Fan like myself (born 1992), Mike Piazza was our franchise. A truly mythical character who always seemed to hit the big home run every time. All the memorable moments of the late 90s early 00s Mets are stamped with clutch late home runs by Piazza. And did it all as a catcher. Remarkable

The home run to take the lead against the Braves to make it 11-8 is my all time favorite moment from Mike. Followed by the HR after 9/11. I have always and will always those two moments for the rest of my life.

Very few things choke me up. This is one of the few. I have such a soft spot for the 99 and 2000 Mets. Mike is responsible for most of it. All the calls are great but Howie Rose’s calls are epic as always.

+musicum22 My family never even lived in New York and we somehow went to both of those games. Even though was really young, I can remember them clear as day. Strangers hugging each other. Jumping up and down at the 10 run inning. From crying to cheering at the 9/11 game. I sure do miss that Braves rivalry, hahah.

I know your not a giants fan, (I'm assuming this cause I have never seen a video about them) but to people like me and every other Giants fan I would love to see an amazing tribute video to him and I think your the only one who can pull off making the video that's worth watching.

What ? Home Runs only ? No defensive gems a la Iván R. ? Did he ever hit a Single, a Double ? No scoring on a close play at Home ? Ever stole a base ? This is boring, disappointing video... Just kidding !!! Mike was always a favorite of mine, greatest hitting catcher of all time, a fine handler of pitchers, underrated receiver with a decent arm, so glad he is in the HOF, should have been a 1st ballot (but Yogi Berra wasn't either) !!! Blessings from San Juan PR !!!
