Please order a "ristet med det hele" because it's the best. For English speaking people who wish to eat one of these, I'd say "Roasted hotdog with everything" that should get you the proper Danish hotdog ;) If you need to eat while moving, a French hotdog is a good option. Be sure to say "French dressing" because we don't want ketchup or mustard in these. The french dressing is tangy and delicious.
a documentary about the Seattle Worlds Fair, had 6 people at the end, for one last question... They were in different locations, not together...!!! The question...What did you remember and like the best of the Seattle Worlds Fair... All 6 said, 'The Danish Hot Dog'... Sad we can't make Danish Hot Dogs in America...
Seem to recall a kind of Rød pølse flam or smørbrød and a larger variety of Rød pølse served at danish family functions. Voila: Medisterpølse "med brun sovs." Is served at Christmas. Is my preference. Always found the "hot dog" Rød pølse too quickly gone and dry tasting. Also preferred the Christmas spices in the sausage.
