I live all the way across the ocean now but “Get up baby, get up! Grand slam over the Budweiser sign” takes me right back to my childhood in St. Louis. Did not expect to shed tears!
What a video. The man is a MACHINE. Wish you'd included the HR he hit at Busch in his last trip with the Angels. That was such an amazing moment. We thought it might be the last homer we'd get to see from him at home. How incredibly blessed we've been in St Louis this year. He's given us many more memories. Congrats, Albert.
Thank you for all the memories Albert. It’s been so much fun watching all the Cardinal teams you’ve been apart of. Let’s cap it off with one last memory this year 🏆
Albert embodies all that is good about baseball. Grinding work ethic, dignity, and humble pride. You cannot find a better example of baseball perfection than Albert Pujols. What a great man. King Albert. Long live the king.
My mother passed the exact moment the Cardinals won the pennant in 2013. As soon as number 700 cleared the fence. I hope somehow someway my mother saw it. I grew up in Florissant. Albert is a soundtrack for my life. Ti Quero Albert. Congratulations.
Any avid Cardinals fan born prior to 1995 probably got to witness a lot of those. As a 44 year old I got to witness many of them on TV and at Busch. Thank you Albert and congratulations! It’s always good to have something to cheer for.
Thank you Albert for picking last night when I, a massive Dodger fan, was there. We are so happy we rejuvenated your career with us, and finished it off in St Louis. A reminder for any MLB player-NEVER GO TO THE ANGELS!
CONGRATULATIONS!! From 2006, when I met you, your family, Jim Edmonds, and Reggie Sanders at the same time.. I will never forget that conversation with you all.. You are one of a kind, my friend.🎆✨⚾️❤
Albert has been smashing home runs a long time. In game three of the 2011 World Series he hit 3. I remember that game just as I will always remember him slugging home runs 699 and 700 in the same game today. Congratulations Albert Pujols. Way to go big guy !
This video gives me chills and brings a tear to my eye. Albert has always been one of my favorite baseball players of all time, and nobody deserves this more than him🔥🔥🔥
Shoutout to one of the greatest legends (and a future hall of famer) to ever bless and grace the MLB, Albert Pujols. I remember admiring and enjoying using this man as a player when I played the MLB video games back on the Playstation 2 at the time when I was maybe around 7 years old. 17 years later, this man is now just 1 of 4 players to have at least 700 career home runs, 1 of 5 players to have at least 2000 career runs batted in, and places 10th all time for career hits (being a part of the 3000 hit club). It’s a shame that it’s most likely his last year after 22 seasons, although what a way to finish on a high note and absolutely shred the league at his age.
When the Angels let him go, my Dodgers gave him a second chance to help him reach 700; following the start of the 2022 Season even as a Dodgers fan it put a smile on my face to see him sign a one year contract with the Cardinals to finish his career Now I can say I was also part of that historical night; got to see that 700th Home Run in person at Dodger Stadium ⚾️💙😃🙏🏽 Congrats Tío Albert on amazing career!
Congrats Albert!!! He’s an absolute machine! Who here got to see it live on Apple TV+? 😒 🤦♂️. Seriously MLB why should devoted fans of the game continue to even consider paying for a subscription if you’re going to pull something like this. It’s greed on full display, what a shame.
I never thought I’d have a problem with him hitting 700 but the frickin game was on AppleTV, many Cardinals fans were unable to see this and the voice of the Cardinals, Dan McLaughlin, wasn’t able to make the call. Yes it’s awesome he did it but WTF MLB?!? 🖕🏻
A journey that has been filled with immense ups and downs but Jesus Christ did Albert TRANSCEND them all!!!!! What an icon and example for people across all ages!! 🌟❤️❤️❤️
I'm a lifelong Cubs fan living in St. Louis with a family of Cards fans and I am so incredibly grateful to have watched the entire, amazing career of The Machine. Truly unbelievable.
