I always thought meeting someone who doesn’t know you must be a huge relief

I sat right next to the actress Lucy Liu on a flight from Albuquerque to LA and I had no idea in the world who she was. We talked about the weather and the bad service on that particular flight but nothing about Hollywood or anything like that. She was nice.

People are really busy in their lives and taking care of their career, family and themselves and hardly have time for movies and celebrities. So its perfectly fine not to recognise most of them. Only media guys go gaga over them as celebs are bread earner for them.

I don’t know most of these “celebrities” either, to be honest. I don’t have to. None of us have to.

I sat next to Michelle Phillips on a flight from Paris, France to Philadelphia. My family had to rearrange our seating for someone which shocked us because we reserved the bulkhead as we were traveling with an infant and 2 toddlers. She was super nice and gracious. We chatted the entire flight and I had no idea who she was until the end of the flight when I finally asked her who she was. We went out and bought a CD of the Mamas and the Papas after this experience. I liked her as a down to earth person.

You can tell Selena is a genuinely lovely person and that makes me happy

I once sat next to a hollywood actor in a NY bar. I had absolutely no idea who he was. Sat there and watched an entire basketball game talking and drinking with him. Wasn't until girls started coming up to him and wanting photographs that I said what is going on. I think he liked the fact that he had a conversation with someone who didn't judge him because of his fame. I still have never watched any of his movies and TV shows.

I met a celebrity out once. Had a full-blown conversation with them and didn't have a clue who they were. I didn't recognise them at all. It was only when people started to call their name and come up to them that I realised who they were.

Was in a small shop at a tourist site in US outside of California when in walked Scarlett Johansson and her mother. Scarlett was very simply dressed (like a tourist), very little makeup with hair almost in a bun. But still she had a presence about her that it took me. Few minutes to figure out ( because I definitely noticed her ). We exchanged a couple of glances. I smiled and nodded and went about my business though I really wanted to talk to her.

Humbling experience. Don’t expect everyone to know you. I don’t know everyone either!

Well this happened to me at a concert, Saw this guy walking in the crowd and he stopped infront of me and is like, that is a really cool shirt you got there, I'm like thankx I really love Cannibal Corpse. Just can't wait to see them play tonight ! Then we chatted for almost half an hour or so. And he was really happy cause I talked english cause I live in Quebec which is french... Then we said goodbye and he left. About an hour later Cannibal Corpse is on and then I saw that guy I was talking to get behind the drums.... I was actually talking with the drummer of Cannibal Corpse and never even realised it. It was awkward but funny at the same time :)
