I met Mike Tyson when I worked at Toys R Us in Connecticut. He was collecting the Toy Biz X-Men figures and asked me if we had the Storm figure, which we had. He was joined by his bodyguard who was bigger than he was and a little wormy guy, the kind that would punch you, then run behind the big guy while giving you the finger.
I'm not sure if she still does but Megan Fox used to collect the 3&3/4 Star Wars figures. If you go on her facebook page, she showed off an AT-AT she bought a few years ago.
I know Conan O'Brien collects toys, that's one that's more commonly known. But another widely unknown one is Ben Burnley from Breaking Benjamin! Not only does he have Transformers and Star Wars tattoos, but he also collects the vintage toys and other properties. Man is literally my spirit animal.
I was in a toy shop in Arizona a few years ago, and Alice Cooper walks in to show the shop owner what he found while on vacation. Memory is muddled, but I want to say he was in Australia and it was a vinyl caped Jawa. He was very proud and then the owner explained to me he was a big collector.

Didn’t know any of them collected up until Robin Williams. Man, had really hoped Mike Tyson was into Storm Collectibles with as many figures of him they put out. X-men was a curveball and a pleasant surprise!
I remember reading somewhere that in the movie One Hour Photo, the figure that Robin Williams tries to give the kid in the movie was a figure from his personal collection. After Robin had read the script, he immediately knew he was gonna use that figure in particular.

Does it make you happy? Do you budget, so you have money for other things to enjoy in life? Just a couple of things to reflect. Try taking a break from hunting and adding to the collection for a few weeks or months and see how you feel. It should bring you happiness.
Peter Cushing (Grand Moff Tarkin) was a pretty serious toy collector in his day. There are videos of him playing with his toy soldiers here on RU-vid. Also musician, Neil Young was once one of the biggest toy train collectors in the world.
Ha! Iron mike collecting X-men that’s awesome. I just look at it as owning part of my childhood and same goes for any other collectors. Entertaining your mind with imagination is the best thing you can ever do.
great list, oh one additional fact about Lou. He loves original art, i drew a Lion-O with his arm anatomy a few years back and he wanted to buy it. So i gifted it to him, he said he loves art and when i asked if he only likes Hulk art he said "no as long as it is nice and original he likes it". I have more stories about him, but he is a great guy.

Glad you mentioned Kirk. But I also remember an interview with Slipknots Corey Taylor and he collects a bunch of stuff. But also another member of the band Sid Wilson actually based his mask from the fourth album off of Optimus Prime. He actually had a full on transformers mask later in the cycle.
So, Wiiliam was also a garage kit collector and was trying to paint them (sadly it seems he was bad at it), character from his daughter's tweet is Dunan Knut from Appeseed, so I gess she knows her stuff too. Biz Markie who sadly died recently was a huge Barbie collector and I read in an itw that he owns more than 1000 and was mostly focused on vintage ones.
Here's a few collectors people might not know about... Actor Titus Welliver has amazing Side Show collection. Rapper DMC From the classic hip Hop group RUN DMC has a great comic and action figure collection . Former UFC MMA champion Anderson Silva has a huge collection... on his Instagram he showed it off a few times he has a room filled with various action figures. Rapper taboo from the Black eyed peas has a great collection of vintage and current figures... 80s 90s rapper kwame who's also a producer and the second or first cousin to actor Vin Diesel has an awesome action figure collection he sometimes shares it on his Instagram page... Ben Affleck another big collector but his focus is mostly Batman he has everything from Hot toys too statues and even built a replica bat cave in his home. Funny thing is I have that 1:12 Storm Collectibles Mike Tyson figure undisputed version. I wonder if he has it too alongside Ali. I actually created some awesome what if scenario shoots of the two exchanging blows. Anyways this was an awesome video. I know WWE's Alexa Bliss is a huge Disney nerd and collects a fair bit of Disney merch, including tea cups. A lot of wrestlers I found are big toy geeks, Curt Hawkins does that podcast with Matt, Johnny Gargano is a huge Marvel geek to the point a lot of his gear reflects that, Liv Morgan is a sneakerhead going outside the toy realm. I think even Finn Balor is a mark for Lego

I would add NIGO to this list. He's a famous fashion who created BAPE. He's a big in the fashion and Hip Hop community and had his Star Wars collection displayed on Sothebys RU-vid channel. He has a warehouse full of other things that was showed on Complex.
I remember seeing an interview with Tyson in the 90s and he had all kinds of X-Men toys and the interviewer questioned him about it and he said Colossus was his favorite.
I am luckier than most. I ran Comic Book stores for 24 years and so I had many regular customers who were also Toy collectors. I am in my early 60s, a widower and a, soon to be 3 time grandfather, with my first grandson! So, finally, a legacy! I mean I love my granddaughters, and they have Paw Paw wrapped around their pinkies, but they love Frozen, and Mermaids, and Princesses! Little Norah, the oldest, did want, and got, most of my Ninja Turtles, but for the most part they have no interest in Paw Paws 'toys'. And fortunately, like I said, I know other guys that used to buy from me, and that are my age, or close to it, that are also doing it so I have been lucky enough not to feel weird.

I'm a big g1 and 3rd party transformer collector; I use to feel weird about it until I saw on youtube there is a culture of guys like me! Hopefully one day some with be worth a lot; I have a G1 trypticon complete with working electronics...man this thing is over 35yrs old!

And it could also sometimes be fate! I started reading comics in 1964, and I had access to my Uncle's huge collection of hundreds of comics from 1941 to 1965 when he quit. I was a lifelong comics reader. I joined the Navy in 1975, and, not too long after that I was exposed to Anime and Manga in Japan! I was in Japan many times over the years, including being stationed there for a couple of months straight while waiting for transfer to a new ship. I was injured in 1984, but decided to stay in San Diego. This was a fortune stroke of luck as a San Diego comic book store was looking for a new manager. I impressed with vast knowledge of comics and got the job. I managed that shop successfully for nearly a decade, until the owner became a total druggie, stopped listening to me, became a total paranoid and was running the store into the ground. So, I switched to another comics store. Eventually I owned my own store, back in my midwest hometown. In total, 24 years in the comics business. Unfortunately, the SJW PC garbage drove all my customers away. In 24 years, my regular customers were at least 98% white heterosexual males of center right to right leaning, many Veterans, Military, and Law-enforcement! You can't be putting out comics insulting your base.

Not until every SJW PC writer and artist is fired and banned from the comics industry. We need the artists to start drawing sexy women again, get rid of the race, gender, and sexual orientation swaps, stop putting leftest politics front and center. No one, including me, especially me, had a problem with Northstar, Batwoman, Obsidian, Wiccan, Hulkling, or any gay character. What we did have a problem with were characters like Alan Scott and Iceman being turned gay to pander to an audience that, in my 24 years, didn't exist. Now, I can't speak for every store in every city, but in 16 of my years I was in California, and we had 1 regular gay customer. We would have occasionally gays. We were also a block away from a lesbian nightclub, and occasionally some would also come in. In the 90s and early 2000s Xena, Buffy, Charmed, and Sabrina were popular with male and female audiences. And if you do political stuff it can't all be on the left. One thing that was the same at every store I worked at, most readers were, at least mostly on the right. You didn't have to crazy right or a prude, or have 1950s values, but you can't tell people that owning guns makes you a racist, especially in a world with Super Powered people. You can have the occasional bad cop, you can have cops mistrusting heroes but you can't be calling all of them bigots and having the heroes attacking police all the time! And you definitely can't have Captain America Nazi, Superman renouncing American citizenship and things like that. Politics has to be subtle, like the genius idea of Stan Lee in making Mutant hatred an allegory of racial injustice. I personally think that should have been phased out in the late 1980s. It was getting too inconsistent. No one said anything about Mutants when they joined the Avengers, and by that time, there were so many beloved heroes who looked weirder than the Mutants! That's why, when I divided my 52 X-Men up into 4 teams, I went back to one of the original reasons for X-Factor, that of bringing Mutant acceptance. My team is not comics accurate, but I made up my personal X-Factor team of the more popular and photogenic Mutants I could think of. Havoc and Polaris, both look pretty normal Angel, millionaire Society Man Beast, former Avenger, respected scientist, best friend of movie star Dazzler, popular entertainer Forge, millionaire and respected Inventor Strong Guy, well known and respected 'Bodyguard of the Stars' Emma Frost, heiress to the Frost empire, super model looks, and also respected educator Longshot, his power makes it virtually impossible to dislike him Again, not a comics accurate team, but a team that makes logical sense.

Louis Koo, a Hong Kong actor supposedly has a very big Star Wars toy collection that he keeps in a separate warehouse. Word is he has a movie prop of an X-Wing (or at least the cockpit section of an X-Wing). He is also lobbying to have an Asian equivalent of Star Wars to be made- how cool is that? Have Donnie Yen reprise his role Churrit Îmwe.
