They're shamed for being overweight and then shamed for taking meds to help with their weight! So ridiculous they feel the need to lie about it. Don't care what these ladies say, they ARE on it or a form of it. My doc put me on it after menopause because my weight gain, which really doesn't respond to "working out" after a certain age, was causing me lots of other health issue. Well, not only did I lose weight, but it cleared up the following health issues I had: pre-diabetes, high cholesterol, fatty liver. I feel and look so much better for having used it.

I sympathize with diabetics who can't get access to this drug. IMHO, diet, exercise and reasonable intermittent fasting schedules are far more healthier than the easy way out of injecting oneself. The side and long term effects still haven't been researched.

My sister is on it due to diabetes and it made her extremely sick for 2 months, which is normal. It can also make a person lose too much weight - my sister's doctor wanted to take her off because she became very underweight. I feel bad for my sister, because no matter what she did she couldn't lose weight due to diabetes. Then she lost too much weight. My niece is pre-diabetic and won't take it because she is scared of getting cancer. There are so many side-effects to medicines my sister is on. If someone is healthy and can work out or already works out, I would not want to be on meds if I truly did not have to be on them ❤

I’m taking wegovy (pre diabetic) but I can’t stay on it long. It makes me very very nauseous and lethargic. Also, it’s always available..no shortage.

I’m going to just wait for a bit longer to see what effects it will later cause.

Sadly, I read an article yesterday, that this medication was originally made to help people with diabetes. Apparently there are so many people taking it for weight loss that people with diabetes cannot get the medication. I thought that was an interesting concept? I thought they also made something else just for weight loss but I could be wrong. I really don’t follow it all that much, I do know some people who have used it and have gotten incredibly sick because of that. And then you see them give it to people who were thin to start with and don’t need really to lose any weight it’s just hurting the people who really need the medication.

If you're not a diabetic think long and hard about using Ozempic. Have a physician you trust explain ALL possible side effects.

You are not supposed to give away your unwanted prescription medicine. That is illegal. That is why its on prescription. Also, there are no short cuts. These meds make you too nauseated to want to eat. Its not a short cut. You know what helps? Psycotherapy and seeing a registered dietician. Anything that gets you losing weight will make it so much harder to lose weight next time you gain it back- and you will- so the best way is to build muscle which burns calories even when you are at rest. Plus once you excercise regularly your bldy will not want to eat crap.
