I wanted to watch this so I would be a bit familiar with the ship. I am sailing on the Silhouette in January 2024 for 10 days. I usually sail RCCL and wanted to see the difference between the two. I am excited to sail with Celebrity for the first time. My cruise is 10 days….. should be very relaxing!! Thank you for the ship tour!!
I was on this ship when it was newly built. Thanks for the tour, it looks like the renovations are really nice. The most notable difference is that the solstice class ships used to have a "hot glass" show from the Corning museum of Glass and they would demonstrate glass blowing on a demo area by the lawn. It's a shame they stopped that, it was cool (or hot) to watch.
Thanks for the great tour! We cruised this ship for a 4 night spring break time. Y’all definitely influenced me to try out Celebrity. We had such a lovely time. (Even with our young daughters). We played on the lawn, loved Le Petit Chef and chilled in the Library. Such a unique experience.
We are off on the Celebrity Silhouette in July and can't wait to try our first Celebrity cruise. We are looking forward to the Sky Lounge and those rocking chairs.
I just booked my quick 4 night cruise key west, bimini bahamas on the Silhouette Aqua class suite, im so excited as this is my very first cruise ever ( which is why i booked only 4 nights) I appreciate seeing this tour of the Silhouette, cant wait to go!
I love the tour! The ship is beautiful. Question: I know you went to Europe and you came back with some wonderful information. I am going to Europe in August with my co-worker and her travel group. It is the Italian Riviera & France. When will you revisit another RU-vid segment of Europe again? It would be nice if you can do a RU-vid live one. There are some questions I would love to ask.
We are heading to Europe as we type on a Transatlantic! Best advice is to checkout The Fork App for dining in Italy (great discounts!) and be sure to have some small Euros on you to use the restrooms as most cost to use in public. 😅
Thanks for this tour video. We've never been on Silhouette (Done Equinox and Reflection). It was nice to see some of the nuances Silhouette has to offer. We are booked for April 2024 13nt Transatlantic from Ft. Lauderdale to Amsterdam. We can't wait and this video has really amped us up for this cruise! Hope to see on a cruise soon! Rob 😊
I’m considering doing this repositioning cruise too. It will be my first cruise on a ship. I’m traveling solo, want a balcony type cabin and I’m vegan. I’m wondering if there will be an issue with getting vegan fare for those 13 nights. I’m just now looking at options and how I can get the lowest price possible since it’s just me traveling.
Hey guys. Celebrity ships are gorgeous. Even the Horizon I was on in 1992. I think that was the name 🫤😂. Looks like martini 🍸 bars are popular on all ships. Love a specialty crafted cocktail. Thanks for sharing and see you next video.
Cannot wait until we sail in November on this beautiful ship. We will be cruising a back to back cruise. Getting on the Silhouette on Nov 30, upon returning that morning off the Equinox from a 10 day Southern cruise. Both of these ships will be brand new for us as we have always cruised Princess & Carnival. We also will be on the Edge in 2024 to Alaska. I have a feeling once we are royally spoiled on these three Celebrity cruises, Celebrity will remain our cruising line forever🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️ Thank you for your wonderful walking review of the Silhouette.
Will be on this cruise ship in October for the Canary Islands and Portugal cruise. Great tour of the ship looks amazing and nice to know in advance what areas you can and can't go in. It looks stunning and the outside area is amazing. Well done for some great footage.
@@JJCruise absolutely don’t mention! After your video I bought the cruise on her! It will be another beautiful trip after Reflection and Solstice…Hope the Chef will be better than on Summit which we have right now. He “commits the crime” against food and our taste… Good luck to you friends!
Sailing onboard Celebrity Silhouette out of Southampton early May with $400 on board credit as part of the promotion. I'm a big foodie and I've booked the Lawn Club Grill, Tuscan Grille and twice in Murano so I can have both the rack of Lamb and the Dover Sole. Honestly though I consider the Tuscan Grille to be as much of a main (Italian) steakhouse as only they have my ideal choice of a steak on the menu. It has some great pastas but I'm going for the 22oz USDA Prime Dry Age Porterhouse. 😋
So I guess what I’m getting out of the tour is this particular ship is it’s not very kid friendly, and there aren’t a lot of included places to eat. Did I get that right?
Thank you for this we will be on this ship next year leaving from Barcelona. I am super excited to go on that trip even though it is nearly a year away. Have you been on the Celebrity Equinox? Special cruise on Equinox coming up with a very good friend. She has been through hellt and I am glad we are getting away for a few days playing hurricane dodgers!
@@JJCruise also. My parents had a rough time with celebrity as they had the last cruise before the pandemic and almost didn't make it home. The ports and flights kept chemging . Celbriry didnt evwn provide transportstion to dubai airport or luggage service off the ship at the time. My dad found a crew member willing to help carry all their bags off the ship and tipped handsomely and i had to help coordinate with their teavel agent at the time to gwt them a ride to thw airport before it shut down. They learned that the crusie after them celebrity just left everyone off at a port told them to find own way home. So they have been hesitant to go back on them since.
A lot of bars, but where are the restaurants and buffet dining rooms. Where would regular passengers have breakfast and lunch? Food. I'm interested in included food.
I took a lovely Celebrity cruise to Bermuda, but quite awhile back. I actually worked for a cruise line in the 1980s, so I thought I was cruised-out for one lifetime. But, I’m planning a Norwegian fjords cruise (I already checked out your video). I know that holland America has covered pools for cold weather cruises (I sailed to Alaska on one), but I don’t see it on the Silhouette. Am I missing something? Did you swim on your fjord cruise?
Wanting to cruise this ship in April 2024, however all handicap rooms are booked. Roomate needs a walk in shower. The veranda rooms appear to have that. Also needs a toilet that's not so low she can't get up from. Anyone know if the toilets are high enough for people with knee problems?
Question: =When will you know which night is Indian night at Sushi on 5 ? When you're onboard or via the app before the sailing? Thanks for the tour, I love ship tours!
@@lavonnehall99 We are booked on the Celebrity Silhouette this September and its already showing the Indiain night in sushi on 5 on the Celebrity App but it wont let us book a table until we get on board. at least we can see the menu already!
Thank you for this great video. I am becoming more and more disappointed and disillusioned with some of the cruise lines that I’ve sailed with previously. Celebrity looks like it might be an interesting alternative to explore. And living near Philadelphia the fact that it sails out of New Jersey is a great plus.
is the solarium area open for everyone? (meaning adults, of course. just wondering if it is a "statused" thing or just plain old barnacle level folks can use it.
Do you recommend going on a cruise in September? :) Im looking at one for 11 Nights for Italy,Greece & Croatia. From September 9-20 2024- Celebrity Silhoute. We will have my 5 year old daughter with us. Would you recommend? Never been on a cruise, so this would be our first one (: Thank you!! also would you recommend upgrading to Veranda?
My kids are all adults now (close to 30), but I took them on cruises when they were between 5-12. As long as the ship has a camp, your daughter will be fine. Although I enjoyed traveling with my kids, at that age I was happy to have some time for myself for a few hours. To my surprise, Carnival had a very good children’s camp, but I’m sure most of them do.
We believe an alcove will cost you $149 on a sea day and $99 on a port day (discounts are available for passengers who reserve alcoves for multiple days or an entire cruise). This of course could change.
The worst cruise ship I’ve ever been. The food both buffet and dining room is mediocre. From my experience, Norwegian and Royal Cartibeannis far better. They will try to sell you 3 specialty restaurant for $180. For real? I don’t think that’s a bargain. I’m not chesp, but I know what is a good deal. The staff are just ok, not as friendly as any other cruise lines I e been. My worst experience with Celebrity was I left my laptop in the stateroom. It’s been almost two months now and they said they could not find it. And this reply was from their automated reply service. Actually, they don’t care. Either the staff there are lazy or simply just a bunch of thieves. So, beware of leaving any personal belongings anywhere because if you don’t find it, consider it stolen not lost. I will never cruise again with Celebrity. There are far much better other cruise lines without the inflated over priced cost.
