I'll be on the Eclipse which is another of Celebrties' Solstice class ships. Looks quite beautiful and roomy. A question I have is about the clientele these ships attract. Seems to be a much older crowd. Now I'm no spring chicken either (69), but I'm hoping they'll be SOME younger people on board for "scenery" (and I don't mean the ocean views!). Let's face it - even us older gentlemen don't wanna watch a bunch of old farts at the pool all the time! I get that since the ship doesn't have things like water slides and rock climbing, it won't attract 20-somethings, but I'm hoping it's not 90% people age 70 and up! Oh, well, I know that's beyond your control. Lol. Thanks for the very nice walk-thru video. Enjoyed it!
Thanks for the tour. We're going to Alaska this May on Solstice I had to chuckle at seeing the Sol Y Mar shop at 12:50 -- on other Celebrity ships of this class this kiosk has been the Smoothie Bar. However, in about ten years of cruising with Celebrity, we have NEVER seen this location open for business! No one can explain it!
Great view of the hallways and floors. You could have turned to the left or right with the camera more often! Examples: Coffee bar...you walked right by, the pool, you walked right by with merely a mention, the cafeteria...no views of the food or different areas serving different ethnicities of food. What is food doing in the spa? I will be on my first cruise with X on the Solstice in Aug 2023. This tour helped very little.
There is the Spa Cafe within the Solarium (indoor pool), open for breakfast and lunch -- just light food and smoothies. The Spa itself is adjacent to the Solarium. I don't recall ever seeing anyone with food actually in the Spa, but I guess it's possible. The scene cut in this video did make it look like the cafe was in the Spa, which it isn't.
Shame on you, Ms. Haley. "this tour helped very little" is certainly over the top. This video focuses on a tour of the ship without particular emphasis on food types or the quality thereof. There are other videos which provide that level of information. Let's be nicer to each other.
@@alandmarthaballon1747 She has a point though. I appreciate all tours but the tour could be improved by showing more areas and details. Like in the Martini bar, those seated sections such some of the ambiance. And the Murano wasn't shown. Things like that.
I have one more question if you would indulge me. how is Customs entering back through the LA Port? In Ft Lauderdale, it is now done by facial recognition which is super fast. Anything similar in LA or perhaps Global entry? thanks for any insights. trying to make a 10:30 LAX return flight.
