Celeste was a teenager in the 70s, and her friends said she was too erratic to be around. Everyone in the 70s was an erratic mess, and she stood out that much. Then, call the cops and press charges. Make sure it's your house, he's got a record of such before and he gets one hit first. After that, all bets are off. "Well, he started it, he's got a record of such before (so it's not your fault) and it's my house. Take them w you." Better to let your brother and father have a come to Jesus talk w him, tho.

I remember watching a “Snapped” episode about her and this murder. After he was shot and back at home, she was in charge of changing his bandages from the shooting. She would purposely come in from working/planting flowers in the yard and not wash her hands. She’d then change his bandages with dirty hands in hopes he would get badly infected and it would kill him. This is just plain evil. I don’t believe she ever loved him or even cared for him. Just his money. Sad. But she’s where she should be now. Enjoyed your analysis! ❤️💜💚

Outrageous screaming, abusive and out of control. She ended the call and went right back to beaming smiles and bouncy personality. She told me she married her lawyer (found out later it was a bartender who was helping her spend Steve’s millions). She also said that Tracy was stalking her (found out that wasn’t true either). Celeste was dangerous, no doubt. Even the other people around were like “must stay away from this lady, nobody has any idea of what she would do if we looked at her wrong.” Thanks for the analysis. Boy, weren't they like an accident waiting to happen...both scarred woman, going through life comitting crimes as if they couldn't do a thing about it. Maybe Tracy was more mentally challenged than Celeste. But very clearly a victim of their early upbringing and incapable of love and connecting with others the only way they had learned to do so. Traggic how you can crush someones soul at such a young age and deep level there's no way to form normal relationships. It's like we are evolving into some sort of inhumane being. When you think about it, it's actually quite scary...great video, once again, Dr. Grande you know how to pick them. Bye all, stay safe.

I can't remember which show I had first watched the story about Celeste on... but I really like hearing multiple different sources talking about a person and their crime, I really appreciate hearing your perspective and research on this because they hardly talked about her background. I use to really love watching a lot of crime shows, but I feel like a lot of the older ones like to strictly paint them as monsters... when in reality many of these people had very traumatic pasts. It doesn't excuse the terrible things they've done, but it's okay to feel empathy for them and better understanding them might help save others (both potential criminals and potential victims) in the future.
@paulaevans8325
@paulaevans8325 2 года назад
Interesting thoughts. But, equally many, many people have experience of trauma, abuse, poverty, low self esteem...etc etc etc ...but they do not go on to commit such crimes as this. (In fact, they choose to go on to help, empower and provide hope for those with similar experiences) I've seen lots of different programs on this case too and I think she's the arch manipulator. Her whole life was lived committing ever more serious crimes, this being the ultimate and for once she's paying the price. She still continues to present herself as a 'victim' when the truth is everyone around her suffered in some way. I have no sympathy for her.

@tartnouveau3652

Celeste is the wife, Tracy, her lover is the one that talked about killing him in the mental health facility. Idk how patient confidentiality works in that case, they were probably not obligated to tell him or report it to authorities because she was an inpatient. It did come up during the trial that Celeste expressed that hated her husband, wished him dead, and also mixed sleeping pills into his food…but I’m not sure who testified about this, and why it wasn’t mentioned to anyone before he died.
@USALibertarian
@USALibertarian 2 года назад
She theoretically couldn't kill him while inside (except she could). I believe now, at least, they are supposed to inform authorities about plans to harm someone. Being an inpatient shouldn't matter. The funny thing about plans is they tend to involve the future.
@l.w.paradis2108
@l.w.paradis2108 2 года назад
@@USALibertarian I think this is correct. Obviously, in such cases, mental health professionals should seek guidance. In general, when someone *plans* to do something illegal, it should be reported, while anything they have done in the past that they talk about is generally confidential. The difference between fantasizing and planning is probably an issue, though. Fantasies that patients report are usually strictly confidential.

As always, appreciate your analyses. I've told you before that my second internship was with the chief of the forensic team in a district court in New Mexico. In my rich career I've worked sporadically in the court systems and they remain my finest memories. I appreciate your videos

You should do a video on the “Murdaugh” family, in Hampton, SC. It’s quite interesting.

It's frightening how lack of nurturing during childhood can create antisocial personalities, with ZERO empathy for anyone who gets in the way of what they want. I would very much like to see Dr. Grande's take on the Erin Caffey/Charlie Wilkinson case out of Alba, Texas in 2008: Caffey was a 16-yr.-old girl who conspired with Wilkinson, her 18-yr.-old boyfriend, to murder her parents and siblings. Only her father escaped death.

To learn more about this case, I recommend She Wanted It All, by Kathryn Casey. Celeste wrote (sic) an autobiography, where she blames everyone, especially her late husband and her daughters, for her fate. Everyone except herself, that is. Don't buy it, but good for a laugh if you can find it for free.

It's always somebody else's fault. I've known 2 ex-felons in my life, and the first thing you hear from them is their "script" that you just know they have memorized and ready at hand in which they were the victim of circumstance, crazy ex wives, bad cops or attorneys, etc. They need to think that you know they are blameless.

@@banjoist123 So true! People are lacking in integrity! I've known are few x-felons too. 😳Didn't you know that everyone incarcerated is innocent?😂 Not accepting the consequences, is not limited to x-felons--nor age.! They know, you know they're lying but lie anyway! Idiots.

I was almost killed by an ex. He blames everyone for the way he is and it's ridiculous to witness. He told the police I almost missed myself as a plan with my daughter and we tried to frame him which is super ridiculous and would never happen. The only thing he can maybe blame is drugs, but that was also his choice, they were his fault, not the other way around. He even talked crap about his kids behind their backs. I'm lucky I lived and that was the thing that finally told be it's better to leave then to try to work it out. Living happily ever after as a single woman who gets to stay alive. If I go missing though, he's the one who did it.

Can you make a video about borderline personality disorder in young adults/teens? And the difference between BPD and hormonal teen emotions. Or maybe a video about loneliness in teens and when it becomes extreme enough to consider being tested for certain disorders (dpd, bpd, etc.) Whether you do or not, keep up the great videos!

Wow, the Celeste case was off the wall! Thanks for breaking down the mental health factors that were at play Dr. Grande, it helped to get a better understanding of what was going on. Another great analysis! I especially loved the ice and prison food puns. 😂 If you want a suggestion on a case, I'd suggest a the case of Paddy Moriarty, a man who vanished in a town of 12 people in Australia. The case includes feuding neighbours, wild animals and baked pies. Yes, you read that right. Anyway keep up the amazing work, they really do help my day to day. :)

It appears that some of the men involved with Celeste missed some subtle red flags. For example, she had been married an infinite number of times. She didn’t like to have sex with the guy she was married to, but definitely liked having it with everyone else. Actual gold miners would come up to her at random times and “say wow, you can really dig.”

I think that even if Celeste had picked up the shotgun shell, the surgeon would have found bird shot in the old man's abdomen and the case would have proceeded in much the same way. Celeste is one of the most evil people I've ever heard of. I'll bet she's still dangerous as a heart attack in prison.

Reminds me of the time when my adoptive "mother" rhetorically stated "what's the difference between you and them"..."them" was in reference to the random Laotion refugee kids that would be invited over after church service or whenever.

I knew a very very wonderful girl, who worked the CC this man belonged to. The crime was so impactful horrific, my friend never would say anything about it *I found out years later she knew them-knew the entire awful series of incidents. That is how horrible the crime was and how genuinely nice this man was. 💔. I never knew the entire background of the wife. Excellent Review.
