"when I fall asleep next to your body then I have no doubt - love still exists"..... beautiful words to beautiful music interpreted in a beautiful way.
@@oceans80 On Her French canadian songs like this one (the lyricist come from Quebec), she have no filter. Celine sing in french canadian (Quebec/Canada), in french (Europe) and in english (you know that for sure :).
@@samuellahaie1471 Céline sings in international French except for some which are “QUÉBÉCOISE” songs. Its composers are Quebecers and French! .... The French Canadian is not the same as the French Québécois and that of France!
She is accompanied by the Montreal Metropolitan Orchestra. Montreal is a city of music, jazz and blues in America. Let us think of Oscar Peterson and Oliver Jones who are English-speaking Quebecers and several great international artists who come from Montreal. Quebec is a French-speaking country but with a North American soul. Anglophones in America should know more about our artists and musicians.
Wow, she pulled that out of her bag of tricks, I've said it before music transcends language. I haven't the first clue what she saying and I still got sucked in by her beautiful vocals! Love love love her!
That is a one of a kind voice!! One of the bests performances of all time, no effects, no post-production retouching on live vocals, auto-tune. Just pure beauty and power. No over extending the voice to ugly ass mixed high belts or unnecessary runs. Just singing straight and powerful.
You are not only reacting, but you know about Music! That's what makes your reactions are special, hope you get more millions subscribers and please keep reacting to Celine, Whitney, and Mariah 💞🎶❤
I'm pretty sure he fell in love with her French material and maybe started learning French to better understand what she sings. She's my motor for liking the French language and for starting to sing in French 😍
the words of the song are incredible... and powerfull.. like Céline.. its hard to translate those words in the perfect way... its so poetic.. The song is written by Luc Plamondon.. the one who wrote.. Notre dame de paris and Starmania
I love your reactions. When she hit those belts, it blew you away haha. Hope you react to the recording of Map to My Heart. Also, it's incredible to know that up to this day, she can sing that song. Last tour she blew people away with this song during her tour. And those quick runs OMG in CRCEDIBLE.
a short song that people must watch and listen..VOLE...i know she sing it in english...but...im telling you...there is ....that something.... in this french song ...that you feel ...powerful...
please react to Celine Dion the song is called Calling you her version of the Paris concert. She does some amazing runs, raspy belting and uses her head tone so quickly is AMAZING. and it's in English 🤗
You really must check out her most recent performance on the Bee Gees tribute "We Don't Say Goodbye" ..She still kills that it after 20 years when she and Bee Gees recorded the song. If you haven't seen it yet, sure hope you like it man 😉
+razrv3lc yea, that's right haha .. Had the song in my mind at the time and guess had the wrong words in my head haha. Kinda strange for me to get a Celine Dion song wrong. My Celine would be disappointed in me haha
+razrv3lc Yes I know that haha . I know the song very well, I just had those lyrics in my head at the time of my first comment. Well it was a very great performance no matter what you call the song and unless he seen it already, hope he has time to watch it haha 😉
JustTheVoice Thank you for reacting to this! ♥ Could you pls react to "Le ballet" live in memphis 1997 the vocal imrpovisations only video (she imitates instruments) this will blow your mind.. ;)
That was an excellent performance! And just demonstrates that she's still got her voice and can out sing almost the entire music industry to this day :D
all the power to you to recognize although french is not your mother tongue the great talented singer she is ...singing voices transende the language and convey emotions like no other......celine grew up 30 km from where i live and followed her career from the very beginning and i am so proud of her and happy to share her lol with the rest of the world...au revoir
This is a beautiful song and I'm doing my best to translate it to you in English. As you know it's difficult to give the same emotions and there are expressions we just can't translate. LOVE STILL EXISTS When I fall asleep against your body So i have no more doubts Love still exists All my rout years All, I would give them all To anchor at your port The loneliness that I dread Who watches me at the end of my road I will put it outside To love you once and for all To love you at all costs Despite this evil that runs And put love to death When I fall asleep against your body So i have no more doubts Love still exists Love still exists We were not on the same side But at the end of the day we don't care To be right or to be wrong The world is run by madmen My love, it's up to us To love us stronger Beyond violence Beyond dementia Despite the falling bombs Around the four corners of the world When I fall asleep against your body So i have no more doubts Love still exists Love still exists Love still exists To love you once and for all To love you at all costs Despite this evil that runs And put love to death When I fall asleep against your body So i have no more doubts Love still exists
Thank you for reacting to this masterpiece! It's one of her best song in her French and English "pool" of songs she has. :) Can you please, please (!) react to "Quand on a que l'amour", or "The Power of Love", or one that is both sublime and sad is "Vole". It means "fly" and it has been written for her niece who passed away from cystic fibrosis. The lyrics are from Jean-Jacques Goldman. If you have to chose between all those three, please chose "Vole". There is an English version of it, but the French one is even better. Thank you for your kind work :)
I'll try to translate the meaning rather than a word for word which never works anyway. Hope you appreciate :) Now you'll know what she's saying and it's wonderful. She sang this song for the 9/11 special show that was made in Paris, it's the one you should have reacted to but then any version from her is always great anyway. -------------------------------------------------------- When I fall asleep cuddling your body then I have no doubts, love still exists All those years of confusion All, I would give them all To anchor myself to your port The loneliness that I fear That waits for me at the end of my road I'll kick it outside For loving you once and for all For loving you no matter what the cost Despite this evil that runs around and put love to death When I fall asleep cuddling your body then I have no more doubts, love still exists Love still exists We were not from the same side But in the end we don't cared For being right or wrong This world is lead by fools But it all depends on us my love To love each other even more BEYOND THE VIOLENCE! BEYOND THE DEMENTIA! DESPITE THE BOMBS that keep falling in all corners of this earth When I fall asleep cuddling your body then I have no more doubts, love still exists Love still exists Love still exists For loving you once and for all For loving you no matter what the cost Despite this evil that runs around and put love to death When I fall asleep cuddling your body Then I have no more doubts, love still exists
ive never even seen this! i didnt know shed been singing this since 1992 - this must be a really really early performance. she got even better in the 1994 period with the reverb as well.
This song is so beautiful. She talks about the love that is still there, the love that still exists: « L’amour existe encore » literally means « Love is still alive/still there/still exists ». She also did this song in Spanish (Aùn existe amor) in her album « A New Day Has Come ». You guys should all Listen to it.
its 22:47 in the UK and this is not the first night that I'm still awake and hoping that you will react :D sorry for my english. please :D I have school tomorrow 😭
I like her music in French. You should do a reaction to her songs "Pour Que Tu m'aimes encore" & "Les derniers seront les premiers" & "One Change Pas" Those are my favorite french songs and I believe you would like them...just a suggestion
Have you heard "En Attendant Ses Pas" by Céline? There are no belts or runs, but showcases on her gorgeous melody voice..It's not only my favourite Céline Dion songs, but one of my all-time favourite songs..
This song was composed by Jean-Jacques Goldman, one of the biggest star in France . He composed the best love songs for her and for me, even if I know her american songs, the best songs ! I hope you will try to search the lyrics in english ...
The music is Richard Cocciante and the words are from Plamondon who do not write music, he also wrote all the lyrics for Starmania, music by Berger, the lyrics for La légende de Jimmy and of course Notre-Dame de Paris. People in France rarely give him any credits, that's the impression I get from TV shows.
´´when you fall asleep next to me, then I have no doubt, there´s love still´´ and the dramatic part says:´´ so I can finally love you, so I can love you no matter what, I course the bombs that shout at 4 sides of the world´... if you give yourself the chance to translate any Celine´s son in french you can find out poetic and more amazing lyrics, the song was writtn for the songwriter´s boyfriend who died of AIDS
alexander caamal ...when there is song translated..most of the time...we lose the soul of that song..it turn out..just words...because in french...there is more than ..past time..present time and futur time in writing...soooo much more than that...how to do it ?...i think..to understand the meaning of a song it is fine to have the..song translate...but just for that..
okay i just discovered your chanel and as a french guy im telling you, you should react to celine french's songs such as je sais pas, j'aurais voulu être un artiste, le blues du business man etc .so
Yeah I'm guessing they meant the 2011 version. It's fantastic and she was in her early 40s there, sounding better than when she recorded it originally in my opinion lol
Song have you heard the recording of her singing Frank Sinatra's My Way at a funeral? I think it's one of the best performances she's ever done. Pure power and resonance the entire time.
She really is the best vocalist that has ever lived. Even where she is technically flawed (hardly ever, and possibly on purpose) everything else makes up for it in a way nobody else can touch. My only other contenders would even be Aretha Franklin, and Barbara Streisand.... maybe Piaf.
Here's to help you figure out what she is singing from 2:31 to 3:46 : AU-DELÀ de la violence AU-DELÀ de la démence Malgré les bombes qui tombent Aux quatre coins du monde Quand je m'endors contre ton corps Alors je n'ai plus de doutes L'Amour existe ENCORE... L'Amour existe encore Translation: BEYOND the violence BEYOND the madness Even though there are bombs falling At every corner of the world When I fall asleep beside your body Then I have no doubt Love exists STILL ... Love exists still
