@@Supcharged Technicality aside, I like this one better though, from the subtle runs to that angelic head voice...the musicality in this one is what makes this rendition connect to me in a spiritual level tho...
@@uncoolartist358 oh i agree, but just that the E5 at 5:08 was so much better executed in winter garden/dix ans deja. But in terms of head voice, melisma, and dynamics, this was better. Shame her upper belting declined after TCOML compared to 1988-1992.
@@Supcharged oh yes of course, the upper belts from 1991 as well as the ones from previous years are very strong compared to this one. And yes, sadly I think the decline was caused of having too much shows, to think that her songs were not that easy at all given its emotional and vocal demands... Though having that power in her midbelts consistently during those times is quite impressive, she really respects her instrument well...
that ' babyyyyyyy' at the end, incredibly angelic, like someone singing from heaven, the run,the headvoice,....OMG this legendary diva is everything we need.
have you noticed how the (20, 30 , 50) thousand people in the audience are complitely quiet, mezmerized? She takes you by the heart and make you listen and hear pure beauty and emotion... JustTheVoice, thank you. You're passion for music makes me feel good today again.
I absolutely adore watching you watch Celine Dion. She's been my diva now for 20 years, and to see your reaction just makes me smile. You have to watch the entire live in Paris concert. I still have the VHS of it. Absolutely breathtaking. And you are awesome.
Here’s the link to Celine in Paris 1995. I can’t find video of the whole concert, just audio. It’s truly a beautiful work of art from beginning to end. ❤️ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xtOakQCczfI.html
Thank you for saying emotion in her voice... so many critics say she is emotionless when she sings. She is the only singer that gives me chills and makes my hair stand up with her vocals.
Rich Devoll I feel like those are the same ones that say SoHyang is emotionless when she sings too. If you've never heard her, she's like the best of qualities of Celine, Whitney, and Mariah rolled into one and with better technique than all three. Her performance of Where Are You should be enough for people to see she is VERY emotive when singing.
To say her voice is emotionless... that's just crazy to me!! Listening to Celine is most definitely a super emotional and spiritual experience. I have chills!
@@razrv3lc except melisma though, out of the grand vocal trinity (beyonce, sohyang, natalie weiss), sohyang by far is the least agile, even less agile than whitney who is a spinto soprano. The other 5 are all insanely agile. But in terms of raw supported range and dynamic abilities? She's only matched by beyonce.
who in the history of singers has ever sung with that much raw power, ive never heard of anyone with such a clear powerful voice, damn her voice can pierce the fucking sky space and beyond, find me one person, a link that has someone comparable, i dare you.
@@hawtee1619 hmmmmm, dont even talk about selling albums, cuz we all know who's one of the best selling female singer,i love Lara, she's one of the legend out there but girl,u went too far.
Celine is a MONSTER!!!!! SHE HAS A MOUNSTROUSLY FORCE AND GRACEFUL!!!!! MOST IMPRESSIVE VOCAL BELTER SOUND!!!!!! INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE!!!!!..... AMAZING CELINE!!!! DIVINE CLASS ESQUISITE PERFORMANCE!!!!!! EPIC LEGEND ICON........
You're right. Best live performance ever. I saw that in Paris when I was a student there in 1994/95. I'd never cried so much over someone singing before.
I actually keep coming back to this video to watch it... Not only do I feel this song is the best out there to showcase her range but it's your first time reacting to it(I know you did it in a birthday reaction)... How she shocks you and you just take it all in is incredible... She should be admired like that by everyone... She is a legend and should be respected as one.. Anyways my favorite reaction by you and I hope you're getting your tickets to see her on this coming tour!!
I love the way you react to Celine Dion live performances. You're not just reacting to it but appreciate how you explain the technicalities in her vocals.
JustTheVoice was SHOOK! lol I just love watching your reactions as I heard most of these "back in the day" and it is nice to see how people can still be stunned by that talent today! I heard Céline sing this live back in the early 90's and I too was STUNNED... whether one likes Céline or not, it is undeniable that this girl is a vocal musician... a virtuoso of the vocal cords... the control she demonstrates from her belts to practically whispers... FYI She is on tour in Europe right now and singing The REASON live at 49yo and sounding pretty stunning...
Imagine in a theater of 300 seats, it was during this song that I fell in love with Céline. In 1990 on the spectrum, we all remained silent and stunned for a few seconds, before exploding with joy by the too full of emotion.
Thank you for expressing everything I wanted to say about her vocal virtuosity, her incredible melismaic skills, power and control. I'm so glad watching you appreciate her voice.
Nice to see you reacting to Celine again! Her voice that night was on fire! She also sang les blues du businessman that night. Please react also on her singing Vole.
You know I have been a lifelong Celine fan and I had never seen this, I know her SO well and have even seen her in concert and even I was FLOORED! Much as you were. And people say she doesnt deserve her place among the Vocal Trinity, no further proof is needed; exquisite.
Such a stirring and dramatic performance! It’s a different live performance from Celine Dion and quite frankly something not even Whitney and Mariah can do for me when they do similar styles that’s a tough song to replicate
ANOTHER great Celine perfomace (although not live) is: Celine Dion - La Diva (Tribute to Maria Callas) The one in the blue dress. In this song, she is giving tribute to one of the great opera sopranos of the past, Maria callas.
If you liked this, then you'll like My Way. She did a cover of it at one of her husband's cousin's funerals back in the 1990s. There's only audio but the performance is amazing. It's similar to this in that she goes from soft to crazy belts back to soft in the blink of an eye.
One of the songs that is not so heard in her repertoire as often but man it’s so hauntingly beautiful…love when she sings music that showcases her vocals in this manner! The audience is so quiet and listening to her very voice that I’m curious about the history and how did she dig deep for this song. I gotta check out her French albums now!
This song is originally from a movie called Baghdad Café, from the early 90s. It's been a favorite song of mine since then. Celine's version is the only version of this song I like as much as the original. Great choice!
No disrespect to the original artist, but Celine’s clarity and phrasing really puts this song over the top. She personifies the emotion of the song perfectly. I think that Celine sings this the best BY FAR!
I don't usually watch live performances because they usually don't sound the same as when recorded but she sounds amazing live, she gave me goosebumps and as usual brought tears to my eyes because the song is so so beautiful. From now on when I watch this I will watch your reaction to it because it made it all that much better, thank you for uploading this great video and yes I am subscribing.
I love your reaction to this. Actually that whole concert is mindblowing. You should do Le Ballet from the same concert! She imitates instruments with her voice in that one... thank you! I love that you give her credit and that you feel the emotion in her voice.
Or on the Tonight Show. That was her first televised performance in the US and you could tell how hard she was trying to make an impressive first impression!
I was waiting something to watch before go to the bed. And then you published it. You are on point guy! I always watch your videos specially when talking about the Voice of heaven : Celine Dion!!
Her very first album is dubbed "La Voix Du Bon Dieu" which literally means "The Voice Of God". Which I wasn't surprise to read in her biography when I started to become more and more one of her biggest fans. Her voice is one of my direct links to spirituality. So it rang a bell to me when you uttered the words "spiritual experience"... Thanks for making videos about Celine. You obviously have a beautiful voice and a well used gift in convincing people. I'll keep my fingers crossed in the hope your work brings you very, very far!
Please react to Celine singing Sinatra's "My Way" recorded at Renes's cousin's funeral. It is a rare recording and in her prime. You don't want to miss it ;)
you should react to her singing Vole live. That's another amazing!!!! performance. It was written for her as a gift after her niece died in her arms. Now that song is raw emotion! At first she actually had a hard time performing it because she'd burst into tears.
I remember desperately looking for this performance on my dial-up connection many many years ago... Magnificent! Thanks again for making yet another great video. If you liked this and her amazing level of emotion in this performance, then you have got to check out and PLEASE REACT to her performance of "Vole"- Live in Paris 1995 and/or it's English version "Fly"- Live on Oprah. You'll love it...
I have been listening to this for years, over and over again. It always brought tears to my eyes. Watching you appreciate it as much as you did made it so much POWERFUL ...
please react to Celine Dion "Somewhere over the rainbow 1985" live version. she was young yet her voice was powerful and stunning ❤❤ you won't regret hearing it!
The newer version from 2015/2016 that she did live in her Vegas show was way more masterful, though. That old version was kind of overdone, at least for my tastes.
