Didn't know about it, going to check it out!

I remember reading the book, getting to the end of the first chapter and actually putting the book down so I could take a few minutes to process. The opening scene of the movie was good but disappointing because the airport setting just seemed to take the scare factor away like.. the book had them out on the street, by the park it was peaceful, ice cream truck pulls up and wham.. descends into sheer terror and the gore was much more extreme in the book too. Overall good movie, not quite up to the book standard.

The Invitation on Netflix is one I think deserves a bit more hype- definitely more on the psychological side of the horror spectrum. Just watched it last night but AVOID THE TRAILER!! Jumping right into it is the way to go. I would love to hear your opinion on it!

I've got a movie i'll send to you that's really hard to find, that completely buries this movie into the ground. I am a fan of Stephen King, as you know :) but this movie i'm talking about and will keep secret until you review it. It is the definition of brutally fantastic, and Wes Craven called it "The future of horror"... plus, it's also extremely non-Hollywood. It's been replaced recently by a movie with the same name, which sucks so badly :( Therefore, just like good smaller RU-vidrs like yourself (this channel obviously) who deserve more recognition, this movie needs more... much much more... LIKE A BOSS!!

I feel like this movie had a lot of potential and it was wasted tbh. the cell phone outbreak thing is SO unique and awesome but it's never explained how or why it happens. and the red sweater guy is never explained either. idk I was pretty disappointed. also the ending made no sense to me

it was good, but doesn't really tell you what's happening. like where is the signal coming from, who is the red man, why is he doing this (if it's him doing it) etc. need some closure for this one

This movie/book seems like it was HEAVILY inspired by Pontypool...Actually seems like a rip-off. :-/

You are tripping. Omg that first scene is so bad, and so funny. The last scene looks like someone had used a green screen for the first fucking time, it's horrible. It's so bad it's funny. DO NOT waste your time watching this. The direction is terrible and all of it is filmed handheld, and not in a good way like a Lars Von Trier ala Antichrist, it's filmed sloppily and I guess they couldn't afford a steady cam? When you use handheld in a scene, you need to be able to know what your doing and have a sense of shot placement. You also need to add some steady shots, dolly shots, crane shots, anything but just handheld. That's what makes Lars Von Trier's old films like Antichrist, Dancer In The Dark, Breaking The Waves, and Melancholia work. Like I don't understand how anyone could take this seriously. Even Stephen King and John hate this film due to how the post production handled this film. They basically edited the film to shit, and holy shit that girl's acting in the first airport scene when she's like "I won't touch it! I just need to call my grandma!" First of all, her reactions to whoever she was with were so poorly acted I actually was thinking for like a good 5 minutes that this was a satire on zombie films. She was just going "ahhhhh, no stop it" like girl, do you really think saying "stop it!" When someone is foaming at the mouth will do ANYTHING. Back to my original point. You said you wouldn't touch the phone, but you were holding it in your hand when you said that and proceeded to call your grandma or whoever, knowing what will happen to you! And why call them and not the police? What the FUCK WAS THAT! I had to pause the film due to laughing my ass off. And there's this shot with a bunch of people, and you can clearly tell they reuse the same people like 4 times. I counted 4 of the same people in that shot. Holllllllllllyyyyy shit. Please do not watch this unless you want to laugh your ass off for like 10min and be bored to death by horrid film making.
