When you do watch the Kenshiro fight, he's the main character from the 1980s anime/manga "Fist of the North Star." Fist of the North Star (1983) is a Shonen Jump staple predating the Dragon Ball manga (1984). Fist of the North Star inflenced the creation of JoJo: Bizarre Adventure and Berserk. Early JoJo's artstyle was influenced by the strong muscular characters of Fist of the North Star. Fist of the North Star takes inspiration from the Mad Max movie series, with Kenshiro being modeled off of Mel Gibson's character Max from the movie.

The bug dude at the end is Meruem. He's basically Perfect Cell in Hunter x Hunter as far as his abilities but he keeps his tail.

Yusuke is from Yu Yu Hakusho which is an AMAZING anime. Its one of the first animes to be introduced to the US alongside Dragonball Z and is a top tier anime with hands down the best tournament arc in anime

Cell's "I'm not a god damned Pokemon" Is Piccolo's "I'm not a Yoshi."

The GS ball was originally a mysterious ball that couldnt be opened. It was gunna have Celebi the time traveling pokemon in it, but then they had the Celebi movie come out so they didnt do it. So after they spent tons of episodes carrying around this mysterious pokeball and had lots of situations around it, they deliver it to a resercher and they never talk about it again. So this great mystery was never resolved.

7:50 I don't remember the name of the attack, but in the Street Fighter games that's pretty much how it looks; Dark Ryu or Akuma would move towards the enemy, the game would cut to black and you hear a bunch of random punches, then Dark Ryu or Akuma would pose like Cell did. Cell's "WHAT JUST HAPPENED" is a reference to how fans still don't know wtf happens during that attack.

Ah you need to watch the YYH dub. The voices for Yusuke and Kuwabara are absolute perfection here... and fun fact.... Kuwabara's sword can cut through dimensions. Canonically. It's a bit of an absurd power lol. If you liked the character dynamics.... that's exactly what they're like in the show itself.

The first short features an amazing 90s anime called Yu Yu Hakusho. Yusuke Urameshi works as a detective that battles demons and bad humans with his friend/rival Kazuma Kuwabara. Saying anything further would be spoilers, but it has one of the best English dubs in existence. If you watch it, I highly suggest you do so in the dub, it's hilarious and all the VAs kill in their roles.

Xander Mobus, the Deadpool from this one, is kind of a voice acting legend these days. To answer your question; the color-coded God Cards are illegal, but we do have legal versions that have existed for well over a decade now.

First one is from Yu Yu Hakusho. Highly reccomend checking it out and doing a reaction if possible. First episode is pretty emotional though, so fair warning. Kuwabara is really my favorite anime character of all time. (The orange haired sword dide)

The first Cell vs video featured Yusuke and Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho. It’s an old school anime that procedes DB (it debuted in the 90s) and is an absolute gem. I highly recommend it, especially the dub version. Justin Cook voices Yusuke and does a phenomenal job. Might be worth doing a YuYu Hakusho reaction series.

I haven't seen anyone mention this, but DasBoSchitt was once known for a slapstick-esque comedy series known as "GMod Idiot Box", created entirely with the physics engine Gary's Mod. I recommend checking at least a couple episodes out, even if you don't plan on reacting to any of them.

So the kenshiro fight is *technically* a spoiler but not a big one. So semi spoiler below. The fight shows cell getting his top half blown up and him rejuvenating. You're not technically supposed to know he can do that yet. It's not really a big spoiler though since it's not like they don't show cell getting a bunch of other damage in the Deadpool one.

The guy outside the ring is Kazuma Kuwabara, who used to challenge Yusuke to fights daily, the only local guy to still do that, and was one of the few people to mourn him. He is pretty much the same thing to machinima as Little Kuriboh is to anime abridging.

The reason Taka didn't get the role of Deadpool is because they do their best to not have people talking to themselves. Nick obviously does it fairly often toward the end(voicing both Piccolo and Vegeta) but they do their best not to cast that way when they can.

You should absolutely check out YuGiOh abridged together! It starts off low quality, but it’s one of the first big abridged series. It’s done by LittleKuriboh, who voices Frieza in DBZ Abridged.
