🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 05:26 The video is about CELPIP Listening Part 6, which involves listening for viewpoints on a controversial social issue. 06:49 In Part 6, only one speaker talks, and there are no visuals. The speaker identifies people's names, job titles, and their opinions on the topic. 07:56 The audio plays once, about three minutes long, and note-taking is crucial as the questions follow after the audio finishes. 08:40 Part 6 is the most challenging section, and the difficulty level increases as the test progresses. 10:19 Effective note-taking requires using abbreviations, symbols, and point-form to capture key ideas quickly. 19:07 During practice, notes should be about one-third the length of the original lecture to ensure efficient note-taking. 25:17 For general meaning questions, focus on the big picture idea, while specific information questions require identifying details from the notes. 27:09 Inference questions involve drawing conclusions based on the information provided in the lecture. 28:10 Evelyn Breach is concerned about the disadvantages faced by people who can't access education or lack strong English skills. 28:39 Answer choices A and D can be eliminated as they don't align with Evelyn Breach's viewpoint. 29:20 Answer choice C mentions a conflict between educated and uneducated people, not accurately reflecting Evelyn Breach's point. 29:51 Answer choice B matches Evelyn Breach's viewpoint of people without strong English skills being penalized or disadvantaged. Taking notes during the listening test is crucial since the audio is played only once. Organize notes efficiently, using initials, short forms, or symbols. Different question types may not follow the exact order of the lecture, so rely on notes to find relevant information. Double-check answers and eliminate faulty choices, but there's no back button once you move on to the next part. Inference questions might require understanding the entire passage, so use notes to identify the speaker's viewpoint. If time remains in a section, you can click "Next" to move to the next part, but be cautious as there's no going back to review or change answers. Made with HARPA AI
That's wonderful! We would love to hear more about it from you! Please shoot us an email at communications@paragontesting.ca if you would like to share your journey with us.
Hello. Within a section, let's say section 6, not all the questions will be displayed at once on the screen. Do you need to click the next button or the computer will send you to the next questions automatically? Note that this question is different from the production ne made during the live seasion
Please give atleast 1 min to answer such complex questions. I believe the aim of Celpip is to gauge the English language skill and not how quickly someone can answer. No one on the streets, office, or any other place is going to ask you to answer in 30 secs...and that to answering according to your own liking. So is this test structure correct to gauge someone's linguistic skills?.... I don't think so
Hello, I live in Canada Winnipeg Manitoba I need an English test for an application. For Canadian citizenship and can I make a test online? Thank You 😊
Hi Emaan. Thank you for your comment. At the moment the CELPIP Test cannot be taken online. You will have to be present at any one of our test centres. Please click here to find a test centre near you: www.celpip.ca/take-celpip/where-do-we-test/
Can you provide with other questions of the audio in the description with their options for viewers to practice or may be add it in the end of videos we can take a screenshot of all the remaining question and do it with all the Parts please
Hi Amrita. The best way to experience the full Listening Test would be to take our free sample tests. You can find them here: secure.paragontesting.ca/InstructionalProducts/FreeOnlineSampleTest/FOST/View/1deeb70f-e15a-4198-a636-d799bb37c3a4

Really wish she would answer all questions . Even if the other 4 answers would be very brief without much explanations unlike numbers 1 and 2, that would have really helped. That is the one disappointing this about these videos.
Hi I'm planning to take my exam next month but i just want to ask how the exam goes like if you fail one of the four tasks do you need to retake all? Thanks
Hi Aimee, good luck with your test! If you don't get the scores you need as per the requirements of your institution, you will have to write all four components of the test again. Alternatively, you can also send your Writing and Speaking section scores for reevaluation. Learn more about it on our website here : www.celpip.ca/take-celpip/faqs/
I am not sure, whether i have observed this or anyone else. this Audio call is very clear but, when we hear the same task in real exam. Audio Speed is faster than this Audio.
