CELPIP Speaking Task 8 - TIPS! 

Hi Roya, It's Reza calling here. I'm in Canadian Tire mall and I faced to a strang and amazing outdoor armchair here. This chair covered by artificial green grass instead of other normal pillows. It has a wheel and two handles the same as a wheelbarrow. I don't know the exact usage of that but I think it will be suitable for relaxation. If anybody lay down on the armchair, you feel peace and the feeling of artificial grass is same as natural grass. meanwhile, through the wheel, it is portable and you could move and follow the sun in your yard. If you buy it and show your friends, they will be surprised.

Hi Lily, this is Marshall calling. I am in furniture shop next to Eaton Center and I am just staring at this really strange looking furniture. The base looks like a pool side chair but looks more like red dolly that you use to move furniture around. It is orange red in color with a grey wheel at the bottom of the of it. There are two pink handles to lift and move it around. Also there is a hand rest to the right of it. On top, along the length of it is green artificial grass that is about 4 inches tall and it does not look comfortable as its spiky. Anyways, I hope that gives you a good picture what this looks like

Hey buddy... it's Akshay calling here. I was just wandering around in nearby furniture store and I've come across a very strange furniture here. I'll just describe you this so that you can make a picture of this. It's a green colour recliner but not a usual one because it's on a wheel. The bottom part looks like a cart that we use for carrying things from one place to another. The wheel is really big underneath it and it is black in colour. And, the whole cart thing is red in colour with a arm resting rod attached to it. Anyway, i hope that gives you a good idea of what it looks like.

Hi Mark! I love your style and way of teaching. It's really natural and easily understandable. You said that, you don't know why the outer part of the shell is brown colored. It's just because few egg's shell are brown in color. Also the white part of the egg is not a shell but its an inner white part of the egg which has yellow yoke in it's center. Hi mimi, it's Sarah this side. I am in a furniture store right now at square one mall, I have came here to buy a sofa for my living room. Walking through the store, I have came across a very unique chair which looks like a rocking chair but with a wheel instead of curved legs. The complete fabric on the chair appears to be like grass in green colour. It has a arm rest on its side. Beside the wheel there is V-shaped metal structure which I suppose is used to balance the chair at a place. This appears to be pretty cool to me and an out of the box concept. Anyways i hope you now got a fair idea about this chair.

Hi John, heather here, I see this amazing piece of furniture in Canadian tire, I am amazed by its look, it seems like it is made up of metal with red colour and have two wheels to ride on it, resembles to message chair. Also have green grass implemented on this portal chair, it feels like you can use this is summers during sunny day to sit and relax outside your home , in backyard and even pricing is reasonable. home work : Hi Mark, I’am Chitra Speaking. Iam at IKEA furniture stores and i just saw a wonderful recliner chair with some special features and thought of informing you as you were in need of it for your grandmother. let me talk about some of its wonderful features. it has a metal frame which is in orange colour and it’s supporting the backrest and the backrest has a cushion which is in light green colour and there is an arm rest only at one side of the recliner and i probably think that it must be easy for aged people to get up easier from the chair and so arm rest wasn’t provided the other side and on the other hand it has an adjusting knob for adjusting the backrest position as per our comfort and of all is the pneumatic wheel that it has. It’s usual prize is 1000$ and they are selling it at the rate of $300 as a christmas day offer where they are providing an air pump free along with this product . Anyways, i think you got the whole picture of the product from my description. See ya

Hi Jack, it's Vic calling here. I'm in the furniture store and I see a piece of furniture that looks like a reclining cushion chair with the build of a wheelbarrow. This chair has one hand which represents the armrest. It sits on one tire just like a wheelbarrow. The chair has a flexible steel-like support that could help it tilt backward and forward if necessary. The chair appears like one that would be useful for older people or for the physically handicapped. The chair looks appropriate for those who need to be well rested while being wheeled around. The rear steel support looks thin and sturdy and is red in color. The tire is blue and the chair is lined with the same red steel that supports it. The chair is suspended which explains why it needs a support in the rear. Anyway, I hope that gives a good description of what I see

Hi Nancy, it's Fiona. Do you remember last time I told you about the special furniture store, where offered various odd furniture? I am so excited that I am here now! There is one strange piece of furniture that I really wanna share with you because I promise that you have never seen it before! It generally looks like a carrying stretcher but the different thing is it only has one black wheel to support moving. on the top of the stretcher, there is a green-like grass cushion mattress with one red handlebar on the left side when a person lying on it. The mattress is shown by around a 125degree reclining position. At the back of the stretcher two red handles connect with the stretcher and the grey wheel. The most interesting part of this carrying furniture is there are two red triangles decorations are soldered in the middle of the supporting handles. Maybe it will be useful for those who have difficulty walking. I hope you can imagine what I am describing now, and we can come to visit here next time together if you are like it.

Hey Sean, this is Julian. I am looking for the furniture at the IKEA right now, and I am standing in front of a creative and unique chair. Let me describe it for you. This is a chair with a small wheel, and the part we sit on the chair probably made of grass, it seems so comfortable. Behind the chair, there have two handles connected with the wheel, so that would be able to move around the house or room. I hope I described it well and you could picture it.

Let me explain it for you . I am sure you will also like its features. It is a trolley type chair that can be pulled or pushed. It can be moved easily. The most exciting thing is that it is a stuffed chair with green colored fabric. It has two handles, one wheel and arm relaxing handles as well. the colour combination is red and green. I really like this. Anyway it is really strange and attractive piece of furniture.

Hi Mark.. heres the h/w Hi Dwayne, this is Jayde. I was wondering around the ikea furniture store and I remembered you wanted to get a new piece of furniture for your patio. I am standing in the lounge chair aisle and there is a strange piece of furniture before me, but I think you may find it fascinating. Let us see, Wow this is hard to describe... let me just gather my thoughts for a second. It appears to be a lounge chair in the form of a wheelbarrow or a hand trolley of some kind. Its bright red and has a single arm rest on the left side. Interestingly, it also has a wheel for the leg to the front just like the usually trolley would which in my opinion would allow for it to be relocated easily in the space and would go perfectly with the red rail you have on the patio. The back legs are triangular, and each has an arm extended to the back for balance. Each arm has the nice rubbery textured handles for easy grip. However, it has a weird cushion top which has a grass pattern print or it actually looks like the cushion design is made from actual lawn like grass which is green at the root and lightly fades to a sun burnt green at the top. I think you may like it since you usually go for the unusual style of decor. Anyway, I hope that you got a good idea of what it looks like.

Hallo John, this is me Sophi here calling you from Ikea furniture shop.I've just seen a strange looking chair which is pretty interesting and I am planning to purchase it for you as your birthday gift this summer.I am gonna describe it so you can visualize it properly.It's a kind of easy chair or beach chair...reclining to back..and the lower part of the chair is like a wheel barrow...red in colour made of strong cast iron and the seat is made of glazed leather,green in colour..most interesting feature is that you know!!the print on it is like green grass..so when you you will place it pool side or back yard and realx on it..it will give you a cozy garden like feeling I think and the best thing is that it has a small hardy grey wheel at bottom also so you can move it easily and one side hand rest also which makes it unique in look and comfortable too.Anyway I hope now you understand how the chair looks like so give me a reply later.goodbye

Hi Mark, I am here at the furniture in the Eastside mall and I am looking at interesting furniture or equipment. It looks like a dolly or a wheel barrow, the one we use to lift and move heavy load, but the top looks like a beach chair with a thick grass cover on it. Its actual green grass which would be nice to relax on. The grass looks like nice and lush green. The rest of the body is red in color. It has a two handles similar to what you would see on a dolly. It has two triangular support structures which can be used to rest the equipment in an inclined position. Its got two black wheels not sure how much of load it can take. Would you want to come over and see for it yourself?

I know you have a big collection of such things so this would be definitely one more addition to it. Let me describe it for you. This is a resting chair with only one arm and kept in inclined position. It has a green color furr which looks like toothbrush bristles and a whole metallic red color body. At the bottom, it has a wheel. From the wheel, there are two bars coming straight out to back with handle. You can either carry this chair to outdoor or rest at one place. Here are some things to tell you, firstly it has comfortable seat inclining back which is in green and other part of the chair is red in colour . hi tom , am just in furniture store and i see a very quine older style resting chair , i think this is a best gift for our grandfather on his birthday , this chair is made from steel and it sitting and leaning part of the chair is covered with green material seems , rest of the body of chair is in red color and it has a wheel on bottom front so its very easy to move indoor & outdoor ans chair also has two bars from bottom to upward behind the lean of chair hence these bars appeared like handle. anyway i have tried my best to describe the chair structure please let me know what you think to buy this chair for grandfather .

Well the furniture has a huge shape, its looks like a wheelbarrow that can push and pull. its colored pink, and there is one wheel in front of the furniture, its colored black, and the handle of it makes you feel comfy while you holding it. On top of it i can see a huge foam above, and has colored green, maybe this furniture is used to have a comfortable sleep while you lay down on it. Anyway, i hope that gives you a good idea of what it looks like.

Hi John, This is Vinky. Well, right now I am at the Hi-life furniture store and looking at different varieties of chairs over here. The one I see is very strange and I am going to describe it to you so that you can assume how it looks like. It is a relaxable chair with a hand rest at the left side. The base of the chair is made up of aluminium coated with red paint. The cushioning of the chair seems to be very comfortable and the colour of the cushion is green. It also has a wheel under the base of chair and two angles are there at the backside of chair attached with the wheel base so that we can pull and push the chair easily. I know your grandfather is paralysed and if you will buy this chair then it would be easier for you to take your grandfather outside the home. Let me descibe this for you, it looks like a cart with a green foam in the anterior part of it. There are two wheels below and a handle for pushing and pulling purposes at the back of the green foam. Aside from that, there is also a arm resting thing on the left side of it. In some point it is like a bed to look at it. It has a railing at the left side so she can position comfortably her left arm. Underneath the chair is a red color rod for safety purposes so it won’t slide and a blue wheel in front so it’s easier for you if you want to transport her to different areas to your house. Hey Akash, It’s Sonu. I’m at IKEA furniture mart in Plano road. I have seen at strange thing here,seems it’s look like good for our outdoor activity at beach. It’s look like beach lounge chair. Let me describe it to get clear idea how it looks like. The base is made fully of red iron dolly which is having a single wheel to carry with having two pink handles and there is one armrest on the left side of the chair. The funny thing hear is , instead of plastic/wooden base it has green grass made with nylon thread which is having thickness about 3 inch. Which we usually see these kind of chairs back in our home country. I hope this is very suitable while we are beach. Alright, I hope this make you visualize how it looks like.

I saw a chair that is not an ordinary chair rather it looks like a trunk trolly and the wheels are used instead of a metal leg along with that it has an armrest on the left side.. moreover the flexible steal are used for support on the backside and the green fabric material was used for making comfortable seat.. the best thing is that . the trial chair also have there so I tried it.. it is more comfortable and they are giving a 50 % discount on this chair.. i decided to buy that if you want to buy it then i can buy one more for you ..

Hi Mai, it's Anna's calling, I'm here at the Mall furniture side, I'm not sure what it this thing I saw and I think it's a pat of their promotion as fall is almost coming, I saw a strange thing might be you need, actually it's a red cart with wheel and stand that can carry your cases of bottles there at you restaurant, the cart is with green with white hard string brush on the top of it, I'm not sure where can you use it, but I'm really sure that Uncle Ben can use this to his garment business, carrying expensive glass like glass window it's gonna be safe because of the brush help on it.

Its a chair with one wheel with blue colour, soft foams in the body with a leather cover and colour green interior, and the right side there is elbow stand or hand stand on it. The Frame is made of steel painted of orange. Its seem this chair can carry heavy human or object. Also there two handle in the back of this chair to easily push it to move in the different spot. Maybe this thing design for double purpose that we can use to sit or we can use as a wheel chair. I dont know if this helpful to us. It seem to me that this thing will be useful in the hospital. First of all that is a inclined red colour furniture for lying, might be used for spa or kind of thing and it has a thick about 20cm of grass on top of it. I think so it can be use for acupressure also.wiered thing i noticed about that chair that it has only one handle to rest our hand and good part is that it has big wheel, so it can be easily movable. This is all about that chair.I think you got a brief idea about chair and how it looks like. I was thinking of buying for me, should I buy one for you.

Hi Rony this is James with you.i am at a furniture store and my eyes stuck at a very weird looking furniture. It seems a pool side chair but it is build up to move as one blue color wheel attached to its underneath.It has one arm rest also on the left hand side.There are rods in saffron color supporting the chair which meant to push/pull either sides,and the resting space is full of artificial green grass . You had told me before you want to have some thing new to give as a present to your grandfather that he may uses as well. I think this one can fit as a present to him. Let me describe it to you then. It looks like a wheelbarrow. But the odd thing is there is a foam that you can sit and lay as well. It was made of a soft velvety just by touching it. Its feel comfortable and there is an armrest to hold so you dont have to worry for the safety. There is only one wheel but thats okay because it is supported by two long steel and a rectangular brace that makes this thing balance. Anyway, i hope that gives you an idea on how i describe it. Hi Liam. It’s Alex calling here. I am in front of the store selling farming tools including rake, shovel, and tractor. I can see many kinds of lawn mowers and tractors. However, I found a very weird and strange thing in the store and you must be interested in this dolly-like implement. I guess this is for delivering something like parcels or some sorts of heavy packages. I will describe what it looks like and you can picture or imagine it.It looks 2 meters long and 1.5 meters high and there are 2 handles and a wheel down there. It is made of iron and the color is brown. Now there is a piece of grass which is about 5 squares wide on the platform and it seems easier and simpler to deliver light things than tractor. I hope my description is clear and you can come here to see it.

I know that furniture look up was your expertise. The furniture looks like a wheel barrow. This reclining chair is very strange to the people who used to see it because of the appearance, imagined a chair that have only one wheel on it, and the left arms is made of steel that is very thin. There is a foamed on it that is covered with yellow green textile and the based of the chair is just a hollow steeles. I tried to take a picture on it, to send it to you so that you can clearly see the picture, but unfortunately I am not able to do it because the salesman won't allow me to do so. Hi Fred. This is Rasoul. I am just in the NCB Furniture store in Masonwil Shopping Mall right now, and I see a really strange thing. Wow, this is really hard to describe. Let me just gather my thoughts for a second. Listen, there is a chair covered by grass instead of leather or plastic foam. And it has a wheel under it which is connected from one part with two orange metal bars to the bottom of the seat, and on the other side is connected to the two other metal bars which are the handles. I think it has been designed for swinging. It would be really comfortable seating there and just swinging. But another thing that seems strange to me is that it has only one handles beside the chair and there is not space for the right arm to put on it. Anyway, you have to come here to see that.

One minute is really not enough time to describe an unusual situation in much detail. This seems more like an exercise in how much specific vocabulary you can pull from out of your hat. It's a green colour lay chair but not an usual one because it is on a thing which looks like a cart that we use for carrying things from one to another place. The green part looks very soft and there is a big blue wheel underneath the cart. The cart is red in colour with two push handles. I think it will be used for elder people or someone who has problems with their legs. Anyway, I hope that gives you a good idea of what it looks like.

Hi Amy, this is yipin calling here. I am at the Brisk furniture store. I want to buy a multi-functional task chair for our grandma. We all know that our grandma has used a wheelchair for a long time and she doesn’t like the wheelchair. I want to buy a new chair that allows her to move but make her more comfortable. I find a chair I like and I want to describe for you. It is one wheel to support the whole chair. It looks like a trolley bag or rolling bag cart. It may give you an idea. It has a light green cover on the chair and other parts in red. Our grandma can lie down on the chair to rest if she wants. I am looking at a furniture piece that looks like a wheelbarrow. Yes, wheelbarrow its strange isn't it? It has a backrest with a seat and small footrest that looks like green grass. Its has an armrest on the left and the entire furniture rest on a single wheel. It also has 2 handles at the back of the backrest, what I am not sure about is if it's used to push the furniture with it? The handles are attached to the wheel and its colour is orangish pink like a salmon colour. If you are interested I can put the furniture on hold for you for I know you would like to have this furniture which would be like a piece of art in your showroom.

Hey Ryan, how do you do? Right now, I am in a furniture store staring at a strange kind of sofa. Let me describe it for you to see if you want me to buy it for you. In general, it looks like a wheel barrow. It has a violet wheel in front and a pink frame with two handles and two supports in the backside. The main cover is pale green and the steel armrest is red. The backrest is about forty five degree steep and also it has a small footrest that supports the one's thigh which is also steep. This chair sounds ergonomic and portable. hey Harman, it is Amandeep calling here. i am standing right at the front door at jags furniture store. i just noticed a very strange things. i am thinking you might know about it because you were here yesterday. let me explain you it is kind of beach chair but it is very weird because there is also a tire attachted to this thing. it has bars at the back to move it. i understand the arm rest but the most shocking thing on this chair is grasson the chair. i think this enough information for you to understand the chair and make whole picture in your mind.

hey mark i am in boxy furniture store and i see a very differnt type of bed or sofa i dont know if u may ever seen like this type of bed or sofa before i am not sure what it is it looks like it is like sleeping sofa and has some grass on it yeah itz a grass u heared this right looks like very comfartable it has handle and tyre to move anywhere it is of red colour and handle is of pink colour hahaha maybe any girl design this thats why it has pink colour and tyre colour is black and some gray inside it look ike sofa add for comfartable so i wonder if u have seen this before and anyway i think i describe you perfectly may u see this after when u came to this shop

Hello Glen, I am in the mall righ now in a furniture shop. I so excited to discribed you a very strange kind of single beach chair and color is a light green.It is a long back and in right side their is only one arms handle.It is looked like a beach chair that someone lying down if they want sun bathing.About the legs it seems very strong kind of stainless materials.And only one small block wheels.This is a very interesting because this is my first time I encounter these kind of furniture.So I take a picture and send it to you right now.. The strange in this things are it has a brushes all over the chair. Then it has 2 metal handle as well as the single arm chair. The handle and other metal have a rusted red color and the cushion is green. I'm mesmerized by this particular chair compared to the plethora of items in the store. It looks perfect to relax in on a sunny day. I'll find out the price and if it falls within my ballpark I'll buy it for Dad. P.S I'm really enjoying your videos Mark. Lol

Actually this a furniture made up of different type of materials and its for multiple uses. the furniture looks like a chair and turn into a bed with turning weals so it will help to move around the home. In the left handle bar there is an armrest for old people to holding cup books etc. Anyways, i hope you get a good idea what it looks like.

In the part where the people sit is strange because simulate a lot grass and is same green color as the grass, and it have one rest arm this object is crazy... hey buddy,its lynzie calling here. im here in downtown right now and presently inside this furniture shop and im seeing this unconventional chair.since i cant take a photo of it,here is how it looks like. it is exactly like a lounge chair but it has wheel. it has one wheel and has handles.try to imagine transporting something using a flat trolley. thats exactly how is it.apart from that,it has green foam on it and with arm supporter on the left side.the handle is painted in orange and if you're going to sit,you will get the 150 degrees position.its in the middle of lying down and sitting .anyways,i hope you got the way i describe it and just in case you wanna came here,just give me a shout and ill accompany you.
