I'm lucky to have seen Celtic Frost on the into the pandemonium tour opening for Anthrax and Exodus in Milwaukee, WI. Great show. Martin really was the backbone of Frost. Tom looked like he was starting to enter his glam phase and here is Martin owning the stage with the monster bass sound and head banging. May you have safe travels Martin Erin Ain.
i was friends with Marty, when they would tour through Texas i would take him to comic book shops , once i brought a girl into their bus and they were so happy they told me i would always be welcome on any shows they did he was such a great human miss you Marty. godspeed
Wow! Just WOW! Giger just calls up one night... Sheesh!! Always wondered about this back when I worked @ a record store and saw that cover. So cool to hear the story. Thanks!
Such a huge loss. I remember the news but I know if I had been as into celtic frost back then as I am today I would have been absolutely crushed by his passing. Him, Jeff Hannemann and Paul Raven from Killing Joke passing were huge losses to the metal scene in recent years.
I got the Giger Iceman because of Tom G Warrior and you guys and got the SHRG1Z because I am a huge fan of Giger. I agree completely those instruments do not belong playing roadhouse bluesy rock and pentatonic licks, but instead percussive ambiance and dissonance
