Bro I had to leave Texas way back in 2021 after the freezeover we had in February 2021 the whole city of Houston stopped because the energy grid was too old left ppl without power for at least a week 😢😢😢
And Gov. Abbott was talking about the government shouldn't be responsible for helping people, atleast that is what I am told. I don't live in Texas so I don't know the whole deal.
Worst hurricane that I ever been in was Hurricanes Floyd and Isabelle. My family lost 2 homes. The water came up over our homes in both hurricanes. Thankfully we evacuated before the hurricane hit!
I had Power Outage last night from 8 pm until 2:50 am. I could not sleep because of the Heat was unbearable. We had a short storm with winds, lightning, little bit of Rain. Very few of us lost our Power about 63 homes. It's been in the 90's and feeling like 106/107 degrees.
My uncle tried to get me to buy stock in centerpoint energy back in the mid 90s. I wish i would have listened to him and invested i would be a multi millionaire today 😅
I grew up in Charleston, SC. The worse hurricane was Hugo back in 1989. It was a category 5 and major disaster . Bridges were torn apart and hotels .There are millions of people living on the in Charleston now and on the coast all the way up to Myrtle Beach. If there is another hurricane in that area it will be 4 times the disaster because the area is a low line area and the developers have built a lot of these stick board houses. These houses are not as strong as the homes that by dad and his brother built in the 60's, 70's and 80's Every area is connected by a bridge. There was price gouging back in 1989. My girlfriend's grandmother's board house stood it ground while other infrastructures was totally destroy.
Wow Phil!! The ball dropped somewhere 😮😮😮. Y'all stay safe and cool 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽. I was wondering where you were. We just gotta be prepared for situations like this.
@latranquilagr28 you must live down the street because my apartment building in Seabrook was literally the only one on the block with electricity. I was pretty dumbfounded, and I felt very blessed. Mind u, I moved from the Kingwood area and have dodged floods and weeks of power outages. I feel pretty lucky, and I'm happy your power was restored ✨️
@deuntaethomas7437 lmao, I don't think race is a factor in this situation 😅 because this area is full of white people 😂 literally the street I live on has a gated community in three apartment buildings & everyone except my apartment building was out of electricity. There's a set of buildings within my complex that didn't have power until today & the Kingwood area is full of rich white people && they've been out of power for a week. It's our aging electric grid & poor infrastructure. I also worked for the Engineering Department and was laid off. They laid off and fired a bunch of people prior to this disaster, so there's a lot of factors at place. Race isn't one of them...
What I cant wrap my head around is when these people do get upset and angry they go to public areas and air out innocent people. People who dont even know them or know of their existence. Why dont they just take it out on the person they are angry at instead of involving the whole world in their dispute? I will never understand the logic behind mass shootings it's wild to me. Connor be like my girlfriend dumped me so instead of taking his anger out on her he go and gun down people that dont know him makes zero sense to me. Taking his anger out on her would be wrong too but that makes more sense than going after strangers.
Where can you get gas? No gas in Houston 🤦🏽♀️. The Wal mart in Webster was bright with a generator. My light came back at midnight on Monday, I’m grateful to God!
@@wendybreault3157the same spot and it's never been this early, or in the same spot this many times. And that heat dome never moves. They want Texas gone.
Uncle Phil, I am glad you and your family, as well as Demetria is okay! Here in New York, you got scattered rain and some winds in the New York City area. However, Upstate New York reported tornados with deaths in Syracuse!🙏🏾🙏🏾🤷🏾♀️😎
It's due to the leaders being unable to work together as a team power sexist and skin color. Which is absurd due to the many lives that's on the line. In a time of crisis our leaders should be able to work as a collaborative to dissolve the rising discrepancy in regards to funding no lights etc. Then you get funding to get more law enforcement than funding for the constituents of this city. How the Senator boldly mentioned how the Judge decline his efforts for funding. As if it's bribe or a scandal she has yet to address his accusations against her publicly.
Y'all must really think this is a small task. It's not by means. Glad you and your family are good. People are looking from the outside in.may we all continue to be blessed. We are still fortunate.
There's no where to go in the U.S. to avoid bad weather. Im in dfw here, tornados you have to worry about. You gotta worry about connor and daquan popping you.
That's why I would never live in Texas again because the weather out there is crazy. Hurricanes and floods in south Texas and tornadoes and hale storms in North Texas. I like Georgia better because we don't get bad storms like that and by the time the hurricanes hit Florida it normally dies down before it get to Georgia. We just get the heavy rain storm from the hurricanes.
I'm convinced if God was calling his people to leave in a mass that's possible. All things are possible the Most High can do The impossible. 👑🙏 Watch.😁 Evil will NEVER prevail over good. 💪💪👑👑🙏💯
@@vanessaedwards54 Oh yeah you are if you subscribe to being “chosen” because of the color of your skin! Jesus is calling man to repent of their sins and place their faith in Him NOT to make some mass exodus out of America!
I was up the whole morning and it was going down with wind blowing them trees. Lights went out for a couple of hours but by 6am lights were back on unlike The ice storm that happened a couple years ago.
When I say 5 days without Power, then came back on last night, then the Lights went out again 4am Saturday morning...I am not happy...and then they won't Declare FORT BEND a DISASTER!!!! REALLLLLLLYYYYYY!!!!!! Yes it was a Touch down Tornado here in MISSOURI CITY AT 3AM-4AM
Man, you can miss me with liberal gun talk. I'm not parting with my AK's or ARs. + I keep that hand cannon on me at all times. I don't trust those damn incels.
