Hi guys! Something I realized I completely forgot to mention in this video is the thermal spring water in the LRP cleanser (not used by Cerave). I let you know the research I found on that ingredient in my cleanser holy grails video 😊
Wash your facial skin with cold water - it works wonders for your skin, giving it a natural glow. Splash cold water on your face first thing in the morning, and when you come back from office, and prior to bedtime. Avoid using hot water as it can cause your face appear dull. Always use a gentle face wash like Littlleextra Ricebberry Face Wash, infused with black rice water, which is ten times more beneficial than normal white rice water. It keeps your skin hydrated, removes excess oil and dirt, avoids pimples, and leaves your face glowing after just one morning wash.
Pro tip for people that want that “clean feel” with the LRP - dry cleanse first with it. I usually use 2-3 pumps on my dry skin, massage it, and it lathers like a normal foaming cleanser would. Once I’ve massaged it in for about a minute, I add water. Once I have washed it off, it leaves my skin cleansed and without a stripped feeling
I like La Roche Posey better too. I feel like it gets my skincare and sunscreen off better than Cerave. I have oily skin and prefer dry skin cleaners because I feel like my skin is hydrated after cleaning instead of stripped when I have used cleaners designed more for oily skin.
I love the LRP cleanser. I have combination, acne prone skin and am currently using dermatologist prescribed topical creams for my acne and I love how this cleanser is so gentle on my skin. The topical creams I use can be a bit drying at times, and other cleansers often make my skin even drier, but this cleanser doesn't. Its gentle, yet leaves your face feeling really clean and smooth. I use it twice a day (morning and night). If you're looking for something that cleanses, without drying out your face, then this cleanser is for you!
@@selin2447 I feel like it definitely played a role in helping my acne, but it was a combination of that and other stuff I'm using like the dermatologist prescribed creams. If you struggle with acne, I def recommend the Paula's Choice 2% Salicylic Acid Toner, it's helps with acne and I use it 2-3 times a week!!
I had the same problem with the cerave product doing that “stinging/burning” feeling & I believe it was the preservatives in the product (parabens). Y’all should try the Pacifica vegan ceramide face wash, it’s top tier, no fragrance, no oils, no parabens… etc
Ceravae effed my skin up so bad along with many others I've tried. Recently tried LRP and oh my heavens..... my skin has never been so moisturized. That was really my only problem which was dry ass flaky skin. Now amazing!
My opinion exactly. I now only purchase the LRP- it’s just a more elegant formulation and I enjoy using it more but I think they’re pretty much the same. My all time fav is the Biologique Recherche Lait E.V. It’s gentle and hydrating yet leaves no residue on my skin. I think you need a first oil or balm cleanse to get rid of sunscreen and makeup in addition to any hydrating cleanser.
I have slightly oily mild acne and love both of these cleansers, I know most oily people don't like non foaming but they are my favorite. I get dehydrated from foaming like the Cerave foaming but never from these.
I have very oily skin and thought I was really loving the foaming cleanser from Cerave, but now realize if I don’t punt moisturizer on RIGHT away, it feels so tight and uncomfortable! I am thinking of trying a hydrating one.. maybe from LRP!
I love CeraVe hydrating cleanser so much! You get a lot of product at an affordable price, it leaves your skin really smooth and soft to the touch. In my opinion it cleanses skin really well, although I use coconut oil for my eye makeup removal. I was using the Hada Labo Gentle hydrating cleanser before, which is another great one, but I feel like I don’t have as much breakouts usuing the CeraVe one. Such good product! I recommend it for people with dry and sensitive skin, because my skin is that way and I don’t have a problem using CeraVe. Thanks for the video. :) xx

I use this light green CeraVe cleanser and happy with it. It gives me some stingy feelings sometimes, so I may use the light blue one after this cleanser. You always look pretty, and I love your nail color!!
I’m really curious to know if you made the switch and how it’s going?? I have been dealing with bad Rosacea as well. La Roche would break me out for some reason but I made the switch to cerave and my skin has completely turned around and improved.
Hi Abbey - I use the LRP cleanser a lot on my dry, rosacea and eczema prone skin. I find it effective as a second or morning cleanse and like it better than the cereve. I can and have used the cereve cleanser (unlike the moisturisers which sting my skin) and do like it, but I like the LRP better. It just feels better and doesn't leave a residue for me. I wouldn't say it's really moisturising like an oil or milk cleanser, but it's not drying either. Best wishes.
I am actually using the La Roche Posay now.... I do like it better than the Cerave cleanser. I feel like it leaves my face cleaner than the Cerave... at least thats how I feel lol!!
La Roche Posay has been my go to for the past 10 years at least. It works amazing on my oily skin and does not dry it out. Thanks for the comparison between the two. I also use their micellar water and Moisturizers and sunscreens. All are amazing! Currently LRP is doing a Black friday sale on their site.
@@bn8579 I use La Roche Posay Toleriane gentle cleanser. It works great for oily sensitive skin. They also have Effaclar cleanser which is great for people who have acne.
I've been using the LRP cleanser for the past year, and this week I started using the Cerave one. First differences that I've noticed are: The Cerave has a more "waxy" texture, and LRP is a bit mome creamy. Cerave leaves my skin more hydrated (although LRP also does a good job). Cerave didn't remove my concealer at all! I was able to do it with LRP but with cerave it just moved it around, and I ended up using another cleanser for the job. But I rarely use make up, so that's not that bad for me.
Great review! I'm healing right now from a VI Peel and need a gentle cleanser! Cerave products oddly do sting and irritate my face so definitely will check out the LRP! 😊
@lisa hilton so did u try lrp one? was that better? my experience with cerave was similar. it really dries out my skin and doesn't even clean my skin. so was thinking of maybe switching to la roche posay. or may be first aid beauty. but can't think of a one. here foreign cleansers so damn expensive so i should be more clear on buying the next.
I used them both and I liked the LRP smell better, even though both of them don't have perfume. Also, I don't like the sensation the Cerave cleanser leaves on the skin, it's like you've put moisturizer on your skin and then washed it.
@@wydmatt7294I haven’t used LRP but the Cerave doesn’t cleans my make up well. I pass a cotton with remover after washing my face and it the foundation is still there
When people were stocking up on toilet paper this year, I was stocking up on La Roche Posay Hydrating Gentle Facial Cleanser. I wouldn't use anything else now that I've tried it. I'm 59 with combination normal and dry skin.
I had an allergic reaction from the Cera Ve awhile ago and I thought it was just a fluke cos I used it with a new cream. And then I tried again last week and I swelled up in hives/bumps again. Gave it to my boyfriend instead lol
I'm using albolene first then I'll go in with Vanicream gentle facial cleanser. I use Rosacare moisturizer then put the Vanicream cream over it. I use EltaMD sunscreen. I'm buying the new UV Restore.
I’m trying to find replacement for vanicream liquid. I use the bar at night, but it’s too drying for morning. I started having really itchy skin from vanicream & read it’s higher ph.. I also have hard water so maybe that’s why It affects me & not other ppl.
@@Jezebel066 I have hard water. Yes it has a lot to do with it to. The Vanicream cream I use is not enough alone. I will use rosacare then top it with Vanicream.
Just ordered the LRP hydrating cleanser. I’m 31 with combo/sensitive acne prone skin. I’ve been on tret 0.01% since Dec 2020 so I’m hoping this will help with hydration💦
The LRP doesn't clean very well for me.I double cleanse and I still had a residue that I couldn't get off. Cerave rinseses clean for me but I also have combination skin so a little more cleaning is needed.
I have both of these cleansers and are my go to when my skin flairs up. I love them both equally..just feel a little more moisturized with La Roche Posay. You have to try Biossance Squalane n Elderberry cleanser....omg...so beautiful and moisturizerizing.
I hate the LRP it breaks me out, leave a residue, I get a hot to very warm sensation while I'm rubbing or messaging on my skin and my whole face get red during using. I have not use the Cerave hydrating cleanser but I am currently using the Cerave Cream to foam cleanser and I'm loving it. It is not drying, washes of easily and effortlessly, no film or residue left.
I’m in Minnesota and now that winter is here my skin is literally flaking. So gross. I even use cool humidifiers until spring. I just bought the LRP cleanser because I love the moisturizing lotion they have. I just used it and it felt moisturizing as I washed this morning. Definitely worth the 15 bucks for me
Just began a skincare routine last month, first cleanser I bought was Cerave foaming. Too much for my dry skin. I've used both of these hydrating cleansers, and honestly they both have a "well, that did nothing," type feel to it. But, I feel like my skin likes the LRP one more. Not really sure why, but I'm happy because that's a big bottle to commit to haha.
well the cleansers themselves i feel would maintain skin, to actually help maybe try treatments? like the paula’s choice bha exfoliater ? i’m not a professional but i do a lot of research :) hope that helps
Could you do a comparison video between the LRP Toleriane Foaming cleanser for normal to oily skin vs. the CeraVe Foaming cleanser for oily skin? I've tried the LRP version and so far I think it's my favorite cleanser I've ever tried but I'm curious how the CeraVe would compare.
The Cerave doesn’t remove my make up well. I pass a cotton with biphasic remover in the eyes area after washing my face and it’s still my foundation there. I won’t buy it again. Neutropenia is superior
That cerave cleanser drys out my skin very badly. I can tolerate retinol, AHAs etc but not this cleanser! I heard they had a formulation change recently.
Great video, I luv different products from both brands, hard to choose. But I always luv the ceramides in Cerave. By the way what lip product are you wearing I really like that color

I have one question. My aunt brought for me a CeraVe hydrating cleanser. but that one is for dry to normal skin. I saw all hydrating cleanser but there is no cleanser for normal to dry skin. Is this one good for me I have dry skin?
I use an exfoliant cleanser twice a week to clean out pores. I don't need to clean pores daily. I just use the gentle cleansers every day and if I ever feel like I have a clogged pore build up I'll use an exfoliant cleanser
I just bought LRP and it doesn't remove my makeup at all. It like smears it on my skin and no matter how much I rinse, my mascara is still in a thin layer all over my face. If I wipe a cotton pad over it after I cleanse, it's all dirty with leftover makeup :( Am I using this wrong?
Cerave leaves residue,so this is just not doing what is it supposed to do - cleanse. applying other products after becomes innefiecient, because maybe they dont penetrate so well thought that left residue. Does LRP also feel like something is left after cleansing?
i used to not use any cleanser for the simple fact that i never really suffered from acne but i started using the cerave hydrating one as a for of self care i guess and started breaking out within the week of using it. is this normal? cause i’m not used to seeing so many pimples on my face
I have dry skin I use the cerave hydrating cleanser and the cerave moisturizer cream, and my skin feels tight and I grew new pimples should I keep using it?
I couldn’t use the Cerave cleanser as it was too drying for me. If your skin feels tight stop using them. I would use Vanicream to calm your skin down and then try the cerave cream again.
@@Gamn_kn for cleansing I use bioderma’s micellar for sensitive skin and or albolene which is a moisturizing cleansing cream. Let you skin heal up. Sometimes I put an Hyluronic Acid on before the Vanicream if my skin is really dry.
@@Gamn_kn I use the ordinary’s glycolic toner and try to gently exfoliate. Follow the directions. I would wait on the toner until your skin doesn’t feel tight. Tight not only means but can be a reaction to ingredients. This is what works for me and may not work for you.

Thank you for your video I know this might be old but I was looking into the LRP clenser after having some irritation which wasn't there when I used the expensive one my derm gave me a sample of that I can't afford
La Roche posay Toleriane Dermo-cleanser might be for you. Very gentle, not very good at getting rid of makeup but great if you need a mild and refreshing cleanse.
I’ve been having the same problem...even sensitive and dry skin cleansers feel awful and drying on my skin. I just ran out of Versed gentle cycle cleanser, and even though while I was using it I wondered if it was doing anything, I think I’m going to have to buy another. It doesn’t remove my sunscreen adequately so I oil cleanse first. But I need something to remove that residue and the versed cleanser leaves my skin feeling lovely. I’ve previously used Alpha H balancing cleanser too, and it felt pretty nice, but I prefer the versed.
Any tips on removing makeup? I’ve tried both of these but have major trouble when double cleansing. I’ve tried starting with the inkey list cleansing balm but LRP and especially Cerave don’t do much to remove the oil. My skin has really been breaking out since trying Cerave. I’m so confused why everyone loves these. Help!
