Winnipeg has been steamrolling everybody going into this game so full credit to the Argos for brickwalling the CFL’s top team. The score was testament to that achievement.
If The Argos can play like this for the rest of the season and through the playoffs they should make it to the Grey Cup. Then it will be Argos verses Riders and an epic game for us to watch.
lol I know, right? I’m a Canadian and a football fan and even I have to admit the running starts that the CFL allows have always been one of those head-scratching differences. But I also prefer the 5-yard rule for punt returns over fair catches.
Ryan Dinwiddie must lead the CFL in dumb, unwinnable challenges. In the 4th quarter a phantom endzone pass interference call against Milton gifts 'Peg their only TD and he has no challenge flag left to throw...
@@TheArgos1873 Hard to tell. I thought he was in when I saw the play live, however when you see the replay you can't tell. His right shoulder definitely breaks the plane but the ball is in his left arm and the camera doesn't show that angle and the ref can't see that angle either. So I can't say one way or another. However, the Collaros run was very definitive as to where the ball was when it was deemed out of bounds, and its beyond the first down marker. Remember in the CFL it's not where the ball crosses the sideline, it's where the ball is when either the player or the ball touches the ground out of bounds.
@@Braktooth considering the spot is not where the ball is when it crosses the sideline, but rather where the ball is when either Zac or the ball touches the ground, I'd say the video was pretty clear that it was beyond the marker
They just didn't have it, tonight. Obviously, they played a fine team. Still, their kicker left POINTS on the field. (Doinks one FG, wide left on the other, but J. Grant doesn't run it out.) If he makes those two, the Bombers possibly win (nobody knows what else would have changed along the way). Still, good win for the Argos. They played better -- and deserved the "W."
Terrible spot on that last drive. My understand of the rule in the CFL is that the ball should be spotted where it was when it first went out of bounds. However, out of bounds is defined differently in the CFL. Because Collaros dove, he is not out of bounds until either he or the ball touches the ground, not where the ball was when it crossed the sideline. Collaros and the ball touched the ground beyond the first down marker, therefore this should have easily been a first down. Not sure how the refs or command centre blew that one.
@@tchevrier I also thought it was a stingy spot. But I think it *is* marked where the ball crosses the plane of the sideline - just like when they spot an out-of-bounds coffin-corner punt. I still think Zach probably made it - but there was not a clear camera angle (that I saw) that would overturn the ruling on the field - whichever way that went. Only Zach knows for sure if he made it. Maybe refs should be allowed to request an official video review for plays that have an unclear outcome., like skip right over making a field-level call.
@@timapple6586 In the CFL the ball is not marked where the ball crosses the plane of the sideline. It's marked where the ball is when either the player or the ball touches the ground beyond the plane of the sideline. That's the issue. Zac landed right on the first down marker with his hand extended. That is very clear from the replay.
Winnipeg always manages to play stupid ball against TO time to look at a new O C this looked like a reply of the 2022 Grey cup bad decisions by Winnipeg to coach from TO CALLS WAY SMARTER PLAYS
I'm Canadian and the CFL is straight TRASH, how do you score 14 points with such a huge field in perfect weather. I can't even fathom what QB's like Mahomes, Burrow and Herbert would do on a field like this. 40 points every game MINIMUM 🤣🤣🤣🤣
lol , your probably too young to know Vince Ferragamo , the stud NFL QB that came up to Canada to ‘ clean up ‘ on this big field , and was sent packing with his tail between his legs , this ( insert name ) of NFL players that were supposed to kill it up here s long , remember Johnny ( money ) Manziels short stint with Hamilton? It’s a joke , and so is the idea of any NFL player cleaning up in the CFL - it’s never happened !
