Testing the CG version of myFrankenstein puppet. I need to get more familiar with animating this way but I am excited by the posibilities .It would have been very difficult if not impossible to do a shot like this with the puppet.
He's stitched together from corpses body parts. Rick Baker is basing this on Jack Davis' drawing of Boris Karloff's portrayal of the Frankenstein Monster, and he moved like that in the Karloff classic films. A stiff jerky lumbering movement, Karloff was encased in a heavily padded costume weighting 65 pounds and his feet dragging 30 pound weighted boots and braces on his legs to create that movement, his movements were not meant to be smoother.
