I could be wrong but hear me out. If one of the transformers is leaking power it might be warmer. While you’re waiting on an electrician use your infrared temperature sensor (what you used for the pizza oven) to see if any of them are putting out extra heat. Great videos! I’m loving the extra content. Your chateau is a stunning work of art and it’s lucky to have you guys as caretakers

You are an inspiration! I’m glad to see that you are putting the chateau into good use as a place of discovery and learning. I watch other chateau videos and although the DIY aspect is interesting in those blogs, I’m impressed with your down to earth way of doing things, and the concern you have for the comfort of the young people who will visit and learn there. It’s a beautiful place and you are restoring its integrity, but not just making it a “showplace.” May God bless your endeavors and protect the investment you have made in time, elbow grease and finances.

Great video again. I do have some concerns with you cooking in the basement on a plastic table with a makeshift exhaust in a chateau with no insurance. Maybe you need to bring in the fire extinguisher from the van while you cook? 😅🇨🇦

I love your sentiments on why. The why should also be about your enjoying it just as much. It is the same reason why I always have a luxurious bath after I scrub down the tub. You guys are the best.

The use of night lights in our home in lots of areas has been so helpful, especially when when getting home later then planned, and it's dark . The dog still has some lights on in the house. Also cuts down on electric bill.

I am not sure, but I get the idea that you renovating the chateau for others to get pleasure from (future wedding and students), would help motivate you on those not so good days. If it was just for yourself, I believe it would be easy to want to give up many times. Glad that you finally have a decent wardrobe for yourselves. Like a permanent treat to enjoy daily until you get used to it. Best wishes.

Have you considered hiring a structural engineer to review immediate concerns with your part of the stables? Often, a consult is not expensive . France has a historical society that helps with the cost of repair. Chateau Purnon is one example, on RU-vid.

Lol, when I saw that hall end wall the brain was saying, "oh dear, what can we do about this?" A lighted painting or mirror and Leslie had the perfect solution... a paladian mirror. They're a bear to clean, but lovely to see. I have one behind my jacuzzi tub.

Remember worries are often Satan attacking us and wanting to take our eyes off God's blessings. Rob everyone gets down, don't worry so much. You have such a servants heart and you love Christ, your wife and family. With those 3 things are are a richly blessed man.

Would you consider installing an array of solar panels, and battery and inverter? Capturing solar energy could reduce your electric bills, and storing it, would allow you to capture the energy during the day and use it at will.

Hi, My mind keeps going back to the outbuilding/barn. Are you legally committed to the upkeep maintenance of your half of the building? If so then God will have to cause a miracle. But if not, I’m wondering if the building can be salvaged for all the great stone that is still in good condition. Along with a fair amount of the timber. I don’t think people can get that old stone anymore for an affordable price and may have to buy salvaged stone etc. so there must be a big place that salvages and re sells the huge reclaimed stone and timber. I don’t know but I wouldn’t be surprised if someone in France specialized in reclaimed stone. Am I just up too late 😂 ? Maybe. Maybe not. 😊

Maybe a stupid question, are you (can you) use LED bulbs?? Dramatic difference in electrical usage and cost. Don’t know much about it and I think the bulbs are more expensive. But just changing the bulbs you use the most could be significant savings. Take care.
