I've watched more than a dozen reaction videos to this (because it's just so epic) and your's was the best at breaking down the way Chad was parsing it on the fly BY FAR. Thank you for all the great insight!
Didn't he listen to the entire song making notes etc? Chad listened to 20 seconds then nailed it like he was the original drummer. He's on a totally different level tbh...
@@kharmastreams8319 they're on a totally different spectrum i say Megadeth drummer gave the song a different feel from the original while chad hit the drums on the fly and almost same as the original They're both great rendition of their respective songs but on a different spectrum
Love to see you do Nandi Bushell’s Drumeo- young drummer putting some fun licks to an old classic she never heard. Kid is ridiculously good. Enjoy your analysis. Keep it up.
Dont know why people hated. Thought was a great im depth reaction. People think reactions should be silent and just stare then smile and talk bs at the end, they are so brainless. Hes actually breaking shit down and its crazy interesting. Great job sir ignore the dummies
There's a difference between giving a reaction and literally talking over the entire thing. Don't play dumb and act like you can't fathom why that might annoy people. That being said, it works in this case because the dude really knows what he's talking about and I learned some shit along the way. I enjoyed the video quite a bit.
Stellar reaction... Only recommendation would be mixing in some pauses in the video for some of your commentary. I know a lot of people find too many pauses annoying, which is why sometimes reacting simultaneously as the video is playing is great, but there are parts that would benefit from a quick pause, comment, and then reset to focus on the video again. Good job though, good insight.
If you want to check it out, you really should listen to the RHCP "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" album. By the way, the duo Chad Smith and Flea is crazy ! Thanks for this interesting reaction ❤
I like your Tom MacDonald hair. Very Viking! Best of both worlds...short and long at the same time. Looks good in braids and looks good tucked under a starter cap. 🙂
@@warlord_drums Say no more. Liked, subbed and hit the bell. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go back and watch your vids and hit a lot of thumbs-up icons. 😁 #HOG4LIFE
Haha, great reaction!!! Don't worry about all the whineys complaining about the play by play. There are about 700 other boring reaction videos to this they can watch where the drummer bobs along and comments here and there... this stream of what he was doing in realtime was awesome because it showed how Chad was thinking... he gambled and was wrong a couple of times but adjusted incredibly quickly. Very very cool reaction.
Great breakdown. Guy said you talk to much, didnt realize you were acurately providing commentary on chad smiths predictions after the fact to explain why he went there, and where he derived the licks fills and rhythms
Thanks Bro, got some more reactions coming up. I simply can't sit there silently.. it's just not me. And I refuse to sell my soul for popularity. Deep down, it doesn't sit right. That being said: if you enjoyed it, I hope you come back for more. Peace. 🤜🤛
@@warlord_drums he should consider himself lucky you didn't talk faster to try to catch everything he did. Ghost toeing the kick drum, revising that toms fill 3 times in 6 seconds to match the guitar line.. etc etc etc. Great to have your commentary. Keep it up!
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it. Hey man, stop focusing on the superficial. It's all material and irrelevant and one day we are all going to be dust. I could be wearing a clown outfit and my content would still be the same. 🫢 Just be thankful I am wearing clothes. Peace and love. ✌️
Eyup - when you've finished in the cellar can you go in the large chest freezer, grab ALL the ice packs and VERY GENTLY lay them all over me... also bring ice cream... oh and say hi to Will for me - he's an excellent actor....and drummer! 🥁🔥❤️ xx
I’m More of a Face reaction…laughing …. Jump out of your seat in Aww . Mix in some pausing to talk about it but not to much!! This felt more like a drum lesson with all the play by play! To much talky talky for me.
I felt the same way. I have been seeking out drummer’s reactions to this video. I want to watch someone listen and react to why something was unique and special (how he uses his hi-hat so effectively or uses ghost notes on his kick) or why he’s so talented for adapting so quickly in parts where he could have fumbled rather than have someone describe what he is doing, like subtitles. That’s not a dig on the reaction, but I get that thought and that’s what I prefer too. I want to hear more of the audio from the original clip. Maybe, listen one take through, little comments here and there, then go back to specific spots and break things down. Again, not a dig, just throwing out constructive ideas.
