It's quite funny how guys think that Chael is being serious about how bad Machida is. He's taking the piss in a few interviews to create the exact reactions that you guys are making so that it creates hype/interest with the fans and Dana will put it on. The UFC is a 'business' just like any other and Sonnen knows exactly how to play the game and make the dough. He's a legend.
I am a Sonnen fan....I am not a Machida fan....but Machida is a tune up fight for no one. Sonnen called this one. He said Leben would knock him out. I agreed with him there. Leben has a great chin; Wanderlei doesn't any more.
@kingfester yeah, but he only fought fighters who were cut from the ufc, only one fighter has turned down a ufc contract, and that is dan henderson,and he is going to fight fedor in 4 days, that should answer some questions
@marlon there are only 2 UFC champions out of brazil currently and 5 from outside... not sure what you basing your comments off of but the reality is most of the best fighters are not from brazil. Most of the time the best athletes and fighters are wrestlers and most of them do not come from brazil. I don't have anything against Brazilians but I do hate when people make ignorant comments.
@kingfester I know, thats why i think dan henderson would be a legit ufc victory for fedor, but all the other ufc guys he beat couldnt make their salt in the ufc.
@gspsucks he fought last year, and just recently. he's now had 4 fights since the Jardine fight, and lost 3 of them. Just so you know, there's a website called "Wikipedia" that has a lot of this information so you can stop being wrong.
@greyfoxau To be honest, besides from Okami, not many people have been able to take on Silva. And despite supposedly being on steroids, he still beat the guy in 4 rounds and I'm positive a lot of people would enjoy a rematch. Also, the love him or hate him, the guys freaking hilarious and interesting and people want to see him. Because of that, there will be a rematch sooner or later.
OMG I think hell froze over. Chael was actually KINDA nice about his criticisms for once, lol. He's got a mouth but he may be right on this one, it doesn't look like Wanderlei can hang with the best guys at 185 or 205 anymore and he can't make any other weights to even try outside of that. I doubt Dana will cut him RIGHT NOW, but its on the horizon. Chael vs Stann would be excellent for both guys, but I see Sonnen taking Stann out unless Brian has a remarkable takedown defense
@MMAstokke He was out for 2 seconds. I watched the fight. I'm not sure you were watching the same one. Just so you know it wasn't a KO victory. Which means Fedor wasn't knocked out.

@Gus589 Early stoppage. Dana White has it in for Fedor. The guy was on the ground and he turned over on his own. Henderson said he had top position and i agree. But let the fight go on. Herb Dean was told to stop it early by Dana. They should have let it go on. Not saying Henderson wouldn't have knocked him out but let it go.
Yes Dana White, Please let SONNEN fight A. SILVA again. He will win for sure. I think Anderson Silva knows this. Last time, Sonnen beat his ass for 5 rounds, it was an embarrassment, but then Sonnen got caught in submission in last min of fight. Know one has ever dominated SIlva before and I guarantee Sonnon wouldn't get caught again.
@MMAstokke Herb Dean stopped it cause Dana told him too. And any chance he had to stop it do it. He doesn't like Fedor and thats why he cut him right after the fight. You can say it's cause he lost 3 in a row. But Henderson doesn't bring in fans. Fedor does. Herb Dean should have let it go until he was KO'd. So their isn't any excuses. He seemed fine to me. He got up right after the fight was stopped.
@368790TylerM Let Chael have a warm up fight or two. Silva is the champ and has been fighting more since than. I think Chael could win, but if Silva trains properly he can be him easily.

@mondaywar He turned it down cause Dana wasn't giving him the money. Dan Henderson might be the only guy to cut weight and fight in 3 different weight classes. UFC couldn't keep up with PRIDE back then. The main reason UFC blew up was all the trash talk before fights. Guys in PRIDE were calling out UFC fighters back then. And they never responded. Chuck lost. Tito never went.

One thing is machida will have no weight advantage since hes a natural 205er while chael cuts a ton of weight. This will be effective when chael can bully him on the cage. The biggest asset he has is his wrestling and I'm pretty sure he can take him down. He has very underrated hands as well, rocking silva several times. You just chase machida and half the job is done to win.
