How to replace chain and sprockets Honda cbr500r, cb500f, and cb500x with tool sizes and torque specs.
NOTE: over the years I've found that regular spray bottles don't last when using Kerosene. I recommend using a chemical resistant spray bottle. I got one from Walmart for about $11 and it's been holding up for at least a couple years now.

Hey thanks for the clear vids! So with the bigger sprocket you should have ordered a 111 link chain plus the master or is the 112 correct plus the master? Thanks man!
@EndlessMoneyPits
@EndlessMoneyPits Год назад
112 is the stock chain size. The blue chain I installed with a bigger rear sprocket should have been 114 links including the master link, but they sent me 114 links plus a master link which is why it came out too long.

@EndlessMoneyPits
@EndlessMoneyPits Год назад
@@chadedwards5316 It looks to be the same parts diagram on the West Coast Honda site. You have to look very closely, #4 goes on the brake side, and #5 which is the asymmetrical spacer goes on the chain side. That's the way I installed them. www.westcoastmotorcycles.com.au/partFinder/fiche/honda/2014/cbr500ra/rear-wheel#next

@@EndlessMoneyPits I’ve watched your video over and over again and you can see that the flat silver spacer goes to the ABS / brake side . Check the chain slider every time you replace the chain set as well. The rubber dry rots surprisingly fast

No, we moved to Arkansas in November. I think I saw a couple 500r riders in the McMinnville area but never got a close look. The Willamette Valley is such a better place to ride. The traffic here is kinda intense.

So, if we use 41 rear and 15 front sprocket, ordering the 112 link chain with master link, do we have to remove one more link? Since that would add up to 113? Seems like a mess. Thank you.
