Don't watch the DIY videos to adjust your Himalayan 450 chain. Even the mechanics at service centres still following the old Himalayan specs to adjust the issues of new himalayan. The tyre pressure is different but still they follow the old chart to refill and same goes for the chain adjustment.
Do watch this video where i have explained clearly how the company just dont pay attention to customers and how to adjust your chain correctly.

The best practice is to adjust the chain after you remove it from the main stand. This will give you accurate measurements.

Got your point and I understand where you coming from but I think the best practice is to follow the owners manual and that’s how they state it there ✊🏽

@RideWithManDeep With your accent You can travel to any country in the world and speak English with 100% confidence. I hear this kind of accent, only from Indian origin people born and brought up abroad or people who lived abroad for many years.

@@pravasie absolutely mate, I was living in Australia for about 5 years and working there in hospitality, I had the chance to talk to many different people from different countries and not a single person commented on my accent, in fact they used to think that I belongs to some parts of their homeland. It’s only people from India here on RU-vid who has a lot to say about my accent. Anyways, thanks for the support again

@RideWithManDeep No wonder, bro. If I only hear you speak without watching your videos, I won't believe that you are a indian. You don't have even 1% indian accent in your English. Living in Australia made your English great 👍

The screw lets a mark on the swing arm when you adjust the chain. Is it due to a bad painting quality ?
@RideWithManDeep
@RideWithManDeep 4 месяца назад
Not sure what mark you talking about exactly, could you please leave a time stamp so I can look exactly where you think it happened. The paint job on the motorcycle is as good as it gets but if you do hit metal with metal repeatedly or with intense force of course the paint would wear off ✊🏽 cheers

@@RideWithManDeepThanks for your answer. At 17.06 we can see this light stripe behind and around the clamping bolt.
@RideWithManDeep
@RideWithManDeep 4 месяца назад
No that’s not cuz of bad paint quality, that was my fault. I pulled the Allen key bolts back while the axel wasn’t much loose hence the paint wore off in that area where the axel was initially installed 🙏

Nice work, this is always a pain in the ass work and doing it with camera rolling is another pain. Good job, looks like you're a stickler for details, which is a good thing. But these factory markings a not that accurate on both sides, so your brake disc might rub against the pads a bit, so that in fact should be your lookout on the other side, rather than the guide markings. If the disc is rotating freely, then you are good to go. Good job. 😎 Also buy some proper tools for home use, tool kit is only for on the go adjustments.
@RideWithManDeep
@RideWithManDeep 6 месяцев назад
Cheers mate. Everything you said makes proper sense. Agreed with you on the disc rub thing but fortunately this didn’t happen here, else I would have to do alignment using string method. A little tight on budget and got other things to invest in “related motorcycle” so keeping the tools in bucket list for now. ✊🏽

@aurodeepdasgupta7297

If you are talking about the little guard just below the rear sprockets, it is called toe guard!!
@RoshunPovaiah
@RoshunPovaiah 4 месяца назад
That's a requirement by law in India - a saree guard, it is supposed to prevent clothing from getting tangled in the wheel.

It’s with all the REs and it’s okay as long as it doesn’t increase with time. Mine actually reduced at around 1300kms . As long as you are doing engine break in properly for first 2000km the vibrations and valve noise remains so minimal and I love it ❤️

Nice video but one correction, adjust chain slack first keeping axle loose, match marking on other side, tight axle nut and done. Don't go with RE owners manual too, refer factory msnual, they do make lot of mistakes, sometimes they just copy things of other bikes, RE is a huge mess for this planet
