Hi Reece, hope you didn’t mind me yelling ‘Come On Reece’ as you rode past me on your second lap. My first Roth at 54, slower than I hoped, but completed it
You’re such an inspirational couple as well as amazing athletes individually! So supportive of each other and give so much to others! Love your videos and always feel motivated to get on with it as a result! 🏆💝
You guys are fantastic. SO wonderful to see Reece race, and to see how supportive you were of both his effort and your age groupers. BRAVO to you both.
You totally should come to Wisconsin. Just road the course today. It’s beautiful. This will be my first Ironman! Hope you guys make it to WI. 🏊🏻♀️🚴🏃♀️
Congratulations, Reece! It’s always great to see the videos you guys put on, especially a race recap. I hope Holly is recovering well after her tumble. I currently have a few scratches and scrapes myself so I can relate. I wonder if one of you could tell me what is that head band that Reece as well as Anne were wearing? I started seeing them occasionally but have no idea what the purpose of those metallic squares. Are they helpful in hot weather?
Awesome video as always;) Great to see Reece back to racing and congratz on that performance! Hope Holly recovers soon and thanks for the capture of Lucy on an E-bike :D
Great result. Congratulations. Do you mind explaining your top tube box setup in detail? I have made a few designs myself, but am always looking for something clever to try out. Thank you!
Tia Claire Toomey (crossfit) said the same exact thing when she was a spectator ...that its super stressful for athletes to spectate and cheer on. Well done on your last race Lucy. So proud of you!!! I was really teary watching it.
Congrats, Reece, on getting back to racing. Nice work. I find it interesting that the finish line sign says "WELCOME TO THE HOME OF TRIATHLON" considering the earliest renditions of multisport were in France in the early 1900s; modern versions starting in 1974 in California before moving to Europe years later. The Ironman distance was started in Hawaii in 1978. I wonder to what they are referring with that sign.
It is the largest triathlon in the world and the entire county comes out to support, I would recommend going and see for yourself why they have that sign . It is spectacular, also has its own history to the race
@@Amanda_K_001 I am aware of the prestige of Challenge Roth, although I don't know if it is the largest triathlon. But that isn't my point. Saying somewhere is "The Home of...." would typically imply that it is where something started. And neither Challenge nor Roth is part of the origin story of multisport, triathlon or the Ironman distance of triathlon. I am just curious what they mean. I would love to experience it someday regardless.
@@sunshinecycling I don't think there is a huge meaning behind that sign besides what Amanda said. There is no trademark on "home" and they just call it that because they make you feel like home there as it's such a huge event in that region and not because there's some long historical meaning behind it.
Indeed. Same with the word World. Before the first ITU World Championships in Avignon in 1989, at least 4 other races were calling themselves the world championships.
