I've definitely been there in the situation of being criticised from both extremes on an issue as a pastor, and having to bite my lip and remember that the Lord knows... and that's enough!
Hey Brother. . . Great job on listing those challenges. I had a coworker who is now with the Lord, and we used to talk of those challenges at our churches. I can remember saying ALL the time. Church should NOT be this difficult. Thanks so much.

My husband is soon to take on the role as pastor of our new church plant. This is a very different season for us. Before now, we've never considered a life of ministry, though God thought differently, lol. This will be a by-vocation arrangement for my husband, and this new life change has presented us both with very new and unexpected challenges. Chief among those is time management, specifically boundaries on time invested in the church vs time invested in our marriage and personal lives. I'm also very confused about my role as the pastor's wife?!?!? As an introvert, the level of involvement I'm expected to participate in has become quite a challenge to me personally. All that to say, I would be interested in a video covering the role of a pastor's wife. Thanks for the great content.
Over the years I have tried to protect my wife and help the church to see that "pastor's wife" is not a job they are employing her for. It can be tricky, but try not to feel pressured to fill a role others make for you, and try to carve out your own niche in ministry. My wife isn't a natural teacher, but is an amazing mother and a caring friend and a warm-hearted hostess. If you can do what God has placed on your heart to do with integrity, you won't be far wrong. Hospitality for instance is an amazing witness and an encouragement to the church, so perhaps you could look for opportunities to open your home and have folks round to eat etc? Every blessing, Joe.
