We hope that you are changed by this sermon on prayer given by Pastor Jeff Durbin of Apologia Church. This is from Jeff's new series on prayer. How is your intimacy with God since coming to Christ? Is your life marked by prayerlessness? Is your daily conversation with the Father really any different from when you didn't know Him?
Listen to this moving message on prayer. Then share it. We pray that it opens the eyes of God's people on this vitally important subject.

I just want to reach out to Jeff Durbin himself and let him know that I know without a doubt that our heavenly father lead me to your teachings, the first time I was brought to your teaching was about 2 months ago when reaching out to God for my daughter to be broken from her bondage with drugs. I was navigating through the internet after praying to God for help I came across on of your teaching on addiction and how to overcome it with prayer, I showed my daughter and she has since been watching and listening to you and as well as myself. You seem to be a inspiration to me and my daughter and I would just like to thank you.

I agree with this statement. God does the same thing with me and I'm not Calvinist! Truth is truth no matter what label it claims. I pray that your daughter and you continue to seek the face of God, that He bless you and make His face to shine on you. Sobriety with Jesus is better than being hi with the devil and his world 🌍

The Holy Spirit is present through this message. The sweetness of conviction from the Lord is throughout this message. Thank you for allowing yourself to be used by Him to bring a message that will make people uncomfortable in their current relationship with our God; myself included. Needed and well said.

Jeff, you are true inspiration. I can't thank you enough for doing what you do, so that we can grow and share the gospel. Never looked at prayer life like I am now after this sermon. Intimacy is a real struggle for me, both with God and my own family..😔

I appreciated so much the personal stories, especially the one about the electricity! This year marks 10 years of me leaving/losing my full time, permanent job. Not months, YEARS. I have not had a full time/permanent job in that long. I had some months of working in an office during that time, but that fell through as well. I can say that God has continued to provide in various means. (And I do not mean welfare!) But I've nearly given up looking for work because I've been disappointed over and over and over again. I have prayed, begged, cried, screamed. And yet here I am, still stuck at my family's house. I need Him to come through on this. I can't take much more.

Awesome!! I was wondering where this was yesterday!!
@christdiedforyoursinsandmi1440
Prayer is awesome. As it states in the scriptures, “I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ, that he will consecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the welfare of thy soul” (2 Nephi 32:9). “And I pray the Father in the name of Christ that many of us, if not all, may be saved in his kingdom at that great and last day” (2 Nephi 33:12). The Savior said to the ancient inhabitants of America, “Therefore ye must always pray unto the Father in my name; “And whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, which is right, believing that ye shall receive, behold it shall be given unto you. “Pray in your families unto the Father, always in my name, that your wives and your children may be blessed” (3 Nephi 18:19-21). “And the twelve did teach the multitude; and behold, they did cause that the multitude should kneel down upon the face of the earth, and should pray unto the Father in the name of Jesus. “And the disciples did pray unto the Father also in the name of Jesus. And it came to pass that they arose and ministered unto the people. “And when they had ministered those same words which Jesus had spoken-nothing varying from the words which Jesus had spoken-behold, they knelt again and prayed to the Father in the name of Jesus” (3 Nephi 19:6-8). “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure” (Moroni 7:48). “I am mindful of you always in my prayers, continually praying unto God the Father in the name of his Holy Child, Jesus, that he, through his infinite goodness and grace, will keep you through the endurance of faith on his name to the end” (Moroni 8:3). Concerning the Book of Mormon, Moroni wrote, “And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. “And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things” (Moroni 10:4-5).

ChristDiedFor YourSinsandMine Jeff Durbin has some excellent videos concerning the book of Mormon. I'd highly encourage you to check them out :)
@christdiedforyoursinsandmi1440
Jeff Durbin rejects all the following eternal truths: “The way is prepared for all men from the foundation of the world if it so be that they repent and come unto him.” “There is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life, according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise. “Wherefore, he is the firstfruits unto God; and they that believe in him shall be saved.” “And lo, he shall suffer temptations, and pain of body, hunger, thirst, and fatigue, even more than man can suffer except it be unto death; for behold, blood cometh from every pore, so great shall be his anguish for the wickedness and the abominations of his people.” “And the world, because of their iniquity, shall judge him to be a thing of naught; wherefore they scourge him, and he suffereth it; and they smite him, and he suffereth it. Yea, they spit upon him, and he suffereth it because of his loving kindness and his long-suffering towards the children of men.” “And he shall go forth suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.” “For behold, did not Moses prophesy concerning the coming of the Messiah and that God should redeem his people? Yea, and even all the prophets who have prophesied ever since the world began-have they not spoken more or less concerning these things? “Have they not said that God himself should come down among the children of men and take upon him the form of man and go forth in mighty power upon the face of the earth? “And have they not said also that he should bring to pass the resurrection of the dead and that he, himself, should be oppressed and afflicted?” “And thus God breaketh the bands of death, having gained the victory over death; giving the Son power to make intercession for the children of men. “And if Christ had not risen from the dead, or have broken the bands of death that the grave should have no victory and that death should have no sting, there could have been no resurrection. “But there is a resurrection, therefore, the grave hath no victory and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ. “He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless that there can be no more death.” Christ said to one of his prophets in ancient America, concerning his chosen people: “In my name are they called; and if they know me, they shall come forth and shall have a place eternally at my right hand. “And it shall come to pass that when the second trump shall sound, then shall they that never knew me come forth and shall stand before me. “And then shall they know that I am the Lord their God, that I am their Redeemer; but they would not be redeemed.” One of Christ’s prophets in ancient America stated: “I have repented of my sins and have been redeemed of the Lord; behold I am born of the Spirit. “And the Lord said unto me: Marvel not that all mankind, yea, men and women, all nations, kindreds, tongues and people, must be born again; yea, born of God, changed from their carnal and fallen state to a state of righteousness, being redeemed of God, becoming his sons and daughters; “And thus they become new creatures; and unless they do this, they can in nowise inherit the kingdom of God.” “Yea, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess before him. Yea, even at the last day, when all men shall stand to be judged of him, then shall they confess that he is God; then shall they confess, who live without God in the world, that the judgment of an everlasting punishment is just upon them; and they shall quake, and tremble, and shrink beneath the glance of his all-searching eye.” “There could be no redemption for mankind save it were through the death and sufferings of Christ and the atonement of his blood.” “Since man had fallen, he could not merit anything of himself; but the sufferings and death of Christ atone for their sins through faith and repentance and so forth; and that he breaketh the bands of death that the grave shall have no victory and that the sting of death should be swallowed up in the hopes of glory.” “If ye shall follow the Son with full purpose of heart, acting no hypocrisy and no deception before God but with real intent, repenting of your sins, witnessing unto the Father that ye are willing to take upon you the name of Christ by baptism-yea, by following your Lord and your Savior down into the water, according to his word, behold, then shall ye receive the Holy Ghost; yea, then cometh the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost; and then can ye speak with the tongue of angels and shout praises unto the Holy One of Israel.” “Thus we see the great call of diligence of men to labor in the vineyards of the Lord; and thus we see the great reason of sorrow and also of rejoicing-sorrow because of death and destruction among men and joy because of the light of Christ unto life.” “And he commandeth all men that they must repent and be baptized in his name, having perfect faith in the Holy One of Israel, or they cannot be saved in the kingdom of God. And if they will not repent and believe in his name, and be baptized in his name, and endure to the end, they must be damned; for the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has spoken it.” “Preach unto them repentance and faith on the Lord Jesus Christ; teach them to humble themselves and to be meek and lowly in heart; teach them to withstand every temptation of the devil with their faith on the Lord Jesus Christ.” The resurrected Savior spoke to some of the ancient inhabitants of America, stating, “Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world. “And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning.” “Arise and come forth unto me that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am the God of Israel and the God of the whole earth and have been slain for the sins of the world.” Nephi, a Book of Mormon prophet, wrote, “And if they are not the words of Christ, judge ye-for Christ will show unto you with power and great glory that they are his words at the last day; and you and I shall stand face to face before his bar; and ye shall know that I have been commanded of him to write these things.” All these verses and more are in the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon truly is a testimony of Jesus Christ and has been brought forth by the power of God in these latter days. Anyone who believes these words from the Book of Mormon (and I know these words are true) should contact the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to speak with the missionaries and find out for themselves that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored in these latter days.

Eh, the book of Mormon is just plagiarism at its finest. Half of those "verses" are just passages from the Bible.
@christdiedforyoursinsandmi1440
I invite all who believe in Christ to read the scriptures I posted. While none of those scriptures are in the Bible, they most certainly confirm what is in the Bible.
