This is the magic of Lata ji's voice . Even The one who don't know hindi can cry after hearing her voice .. Actually she sings feeling with lyrics .. kudos to her voice .. India's Pride ❤️ .. the Actress is Legendary Meena kumari also known as tragedy queen and Cinderella of india ❤️
@@NomanKhan-gx6fqThe real magic is language and poetry you are haters never appreciate the actual diamond the reason of enjoy and cherish the Urdu language had this language not been developed we would never have lata, Rafi Raaj Kapoor, noushad, shakil, rajinder krishin Ravi Amitabh shahrukh and many more who got fame and fortune due to this language only!
The last train whistle marked the real tragedy that represented her own her life ... Meena Kumari was the real tragedy queen of Bollywood ... Lata Mangeshkar voice with Meena kumari expression are beyond words ... Pakezah released pretty late at that time Meena kumari was already very seriously ill , she passed away very young at the peak of her career n fame ... her depression killed her with alcohol, ... this one movie represented how sad she really was .... real tears
If you watched the song with English subtitles you'd appreciate it even more at how emotional this song is, considering the story of the character. It's a classic. You're reaction is too cute.
Not after this movie...She did couple of movies after this...Her last movie was 'Mere Apne'...1971... pakija released in 72 but was shot much earlier....
Her life was a tragedy. She had been a happy woman until she met this man whom she fell in love with and married. The marriage did not work out and it seems that she fell into a deep depression after the breakdown and she became an alcoholic. This movie was produced by her ex-husband who persuaded her to finish it as it had remained unfinished. She died of liver cirrhosis at around the age of 40. She was really ill and sad when she did this movie. I watched a few of her movies and used to feel sad whenever I saw her. So her sadness does come across in her roles. I have no doubt that she is happy and at peace in the afterlife now. RIP ***
Damali, u r really very intelligent and intuitive and have sharp observer as u saw the grief in her eyes...she had a real miserable life if u google search her real life. it was full of misfortune from her childhood till her untimely young death.
I wonder how would she react if she read the english subtitle captions ... It is amazing how nature designed body language to be so universal .. It is beautiful how anyone can understand the language of emotions and expressions ... Wow! For someone not from this culture and to feel the emotions from genre or language totally opposite of Hollywood... Goodness me ... and yes , This actually actress did lead a very very sad life... And yes you are right eyes are the windows to the soul...
Astonishing. How you managed to sense the sadness of the song just by looking at her expression. Still feel pain even after listening million times. The music the words the voice and meena Kumari's expressions. It's just too much.
U selected a fabulous song for review or reaction... which is ecstasic and out of the world. U know why tears sudden roled down from ur eyes bcoz it has the best lyrics, composition, singing, picturization, acted, choreographed and filmed. Everything is perfect. It is something more than just a movie. It has the pain of a lifetime. even if u wud not say anything, just your tears are the perfect words to describe it... your reaction (tears) are praise and tribute to all those who worked to make it.
She is Meena Kumari also known as Tragedy Queen of Bollywood. Pakizaah took approx 14 years to complete. Meena Kumari suffered partial face paralysis in the meantime. Her husband Kamal Amrohi directed this movie. She died one week (before or after not sure) when this movie was released. Singer is Lata Mangeshkar. Indian music is for soul... Proved again.
You're so intuitive and your observation is so correct. She is Meena Kumari one of the greatest actors India has ever produced. She is known to be "Tragedy Queen" because of her great portrayal of tragedy roles onscreen. Her Real life was full of tragedies. This movie was directed by her husband Kamal Amrohi. During the making of the movie, they got separated and this movie took 16 years to complete. While shooting the last portions of the movie she was terminally ill and just after the release of the movie she passed away in the young age of 39.
This is my mom’s favorite song. I am deeply attached to its meaning.... which to me symbolizes the fragility of life and its impermanence. And hers. Time flies, seasons pass, the best moments are gone in a flash like a butterfly. Her eyes express the life and dreams she could not reach for, or ever hope to have in this lifetime. The last part of the song... where on her journey the lights are going out.... it is so moving. It symbolizes approaching death to me and losing my parents, the passage of time, the impermanence of everything. It’s deeply moving. I am surprised you feel that too.
I wonder how would she react if she read the english subtitle captions ... It is amazing how nature designed body-language to be so universal .. It is beautiful how anyone can understand the language of emotions and expressions ... Wow! For someone not from this culture and to feel the emotions from genre or language totally opposite of mainstream Hollywood content, speaks volumes of her strong intuition... Goodness me ... and yes , “eyes are windows to the soul”. You are right Meena Kumari’s life was overwhelmed with sorrow. Her life off-set and off-screen, was over-flowing with personal challenges, dysfunctional relationships, poor health, endless melancholy, endless longing and loneliness. In addition, she was battling with last-stage-lever-cirrhosis while she was working on this movie. She also passed away one or two weeks after the final realise of Pakheeza. So these images were of her final last days of life. And ironically she was nicknamed and always referred to as “The-Tragedy-Queen” of Bollywood when she was physically healthy. Because most of her movie’s stories and endings involves a tragedy, and her real life storey was filled with and ended in a tragedy.
@@sandeepsabharwal8046 that's because she had got a heart which feels the subtleties of grief and pain embedded in both the song and Mina Kumari's gestures and expressions.
The music at the end was that of train whistling.. She had met her man ( not the one shown in song) at the train and she was remembering him throughout the song... So the sound of train was indicating that.. She was not looking at anyone but was lost in her memory lane.... The sadness was so brilliantly captured! Splendid..
She was a beautiful soul... unlucky in her love life...her own family ..her husband fed on her...and yes those hand gestures... gorgeous! I love her a lot
Wow. Amazing. You're fabulously sensitive person. You sensed more than you know. Meena Kumari is often referred to as tragedy queen. Her real life was sad and even on screen roles were sad. And she is often called the best actress
She was the Bollywood's most beautiful legendary and highest paid actress ........ Her screen name was Meena Kumari......... Pakeezah was her last movie ......she died before the release of this film..........
thank you for reacting after absorbing Late Meena Kumari Ji's performance. These were the times when art personified life. From the music, lyrics, composition, art direction, dance, costume, choreography......WEW! Something that only comes along when the Gods of art work together.
When Goddess is play back singer with hypnotic voice, Lata ji love you for eternity. The actress was ginuene and real artist one could watch the song million time each time with different feelings. The irony of today's Bollywood actresses is that you could forget it easily.
What u beauty, she is one of the legends in the history of the indian cinema and first ever female actress who won indian filmafare award for best actress as a enaugural winner. unhappiness and sadness she suffered in her real life reflects in her eyes Thanks for this reaction video
More than anything, this song remained in my heart for the beautiful and graceful dancers, the amazing choreography and brilliant camera work. Especially the one through the water fountain.
I Salute You, Ma'M, The Best of One Bollywood Flim, Pakeeza, The Great Legends Meena jee,One Of Beautiful Language Urdu, & Urdu Ghazal, Super Voice of Late jee, Best Music of Gulam Mohammad, My Best Regards, & Love From Kuwait,
You may be an indian in your earlier life , ...mazic of great Lata Mangeshkar with tragedy Queen Mina kumari , music of legendary Naushad Sahab just deluged your heart ...❤️
Tge singer name is Lata Mangeshkar, she is the greatest singer of Bollywood ever produce. For us she has world sweetest voice, all the current singer like Sreya ghosal follow her legacy.
Pakeezah is considered an iconic movie in indian cinema. Dance forms like kathak kali were nurtured and taught in the brothels in Lucknow and became popular as classical dance . Meena Kumari just like Madhubala was considered as one of the most beautiful actresses in the world. The "walk" is a part of the kathak kali walk..
I thought it was beautiful when tears streamed down your face as they were so innocent.......I was like stop saying sorry woman....haha.......and also loved the reaction and the dancing in the end.....amazing :)
U r not understanding yet u r injoing this song u r so intelligent and really a nice person love you from India and thanks for choosing aor bolywod songs
I just loved seeing that the western culture is so much mad of our culture, she is die hard fan of meenak and madhubala dances i think so,l was fully surprised she was crying while watching thesuper hit song of our decade,ThQ for showing so much love and affection. For our Indian super star,The singer of chalthe ch is Nigtingale of India she is lata mangeshkar ji,ThQ vvvvm to like oursuper hit song of our times,
There's another song called Na Jao Saiyaan from Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam (1962) also performed by Meena Kumari. Although it's in black and white but again it's her eyes that holds the entire song.. I hope you will like it too..
Surprising ,Jimmy same reaction hear ,I saw this movie at lest 15 to 16 time from my childhood & now I have cross my 50 still could not forget The Great Meenaji
You're correct that her sadness was real because she was abused physically and forced to act by her husband her whole career so that emotion in her would be realistic. I felt very bad for her but it makes her acting very pure and powerful. She even became an alcoholic because of her situation & her husband was 16 yrs older (also a director)
A beautiful movie, I have seen it many many times. There will NEVER be another Meena Kumari nor can anyone even match her to the end of world. BTW, she was my father's cousin.
Thank you for reacting to this song, it’s one of my favourites always reminds me of my parents. I think she was sad in real life too as it was said she passed away from alcohol.
Your spot on you noticed the camera going through fountain genius and indeed all she does is walk and her expressions no one can achieve the only female actress to compete against herself by being nominated for best actress in the same year and all films were her! No one has been able to do that ever
you see meena kumari once and she stays inside your soul forever..Same with Lata jee..Lata jee is like goddess for us..I wish you cd understand the lyrics..
That's the power of old evergreen songs..... I'm still shocked how did you came to this song and reacted to it....but i loved this reaction and ur respect to this song.... thank you so much
Much has been said about her life dodged by booze in the hope of recovery. In the end, it’s her incomparable professional common sense pulled her acts together. The sets, the cameras, lights always magically brought her back to life. A true artiste.
Really you got a pure heart otherwise who can understand the pain.... Old Hindi songs based on immortal classical Indian music.. It's correct if listen these old songs you really reach to haven...
It is a moving song and I know Meera Kumari died soon afterwards but I want to know what made you cry. Do you understand the words? It seems like you sense the sadness in the words.
I have seen this movie it's a master piece... very very beautiful movie..india is expert in making such serious art movies. it's a very very sad and tragic story of a dancer......Meena Kumari great and beautiful actress and dear u too are great and beautiful
"Yeh Cherag Bujh rehi hei, Meri sath jalte jalte" is the most appealing line, which means This candle is burning off along with me. Means I am burning off each moment like this candle.
It took more then 15 years to make this movie. Meena Kumari was one of the best actress in India and her husband was the producer director of this movie.
Meena Kumari lives in hearts of many people through out the world! She definitely is a legend who has contributed a great deal to Indian cinema!! Thanks for sharing your love for beautiful Meena Kumari.
Your expressions said that all. She is tragedy queen of Bollywood. Meenakumari. Everytime I see her on screen or read her, my heart also break into pieces and every piece then reflects her face.
You are a beautiful person to get emotional with this song. It takes one with big and soft heart to do it. You see things others don't see. This song was from 1970. "Yes, this song is one of the best all-time classical song of bollywood.
This is the power of pain & suffering which ,the great multi talented legendary artist Meena kumari faced throughout her life, that a girl born so many years after her death can feel her sadness.
Before your reaction I never listen this song as serious as now I'm hearing this. Last of this vedio I saw your Indian dance.you danced very beautiful. Such you are very kind a great lovely heart queen.
Damali you can be my spirit sister. Your reaction mirrors mine. Minimal movement yet loaded with emotion, you find yourself holding your breath. And yes the depth of sadness. One of my favourite movies
jimmy, i thank u very so much for taking serious interest in indian music and culture. the hero in this movie, raaj kumar, once in an interview said about meena kumari that when he reaches to the last moments of his life, her memories will surround him. love from india.
Love from india, ur too good 🤗, Thank u for connecting to song, u got true essence of song. Meena kumari very talented actress good looking but life full of sorrow and end was painful, she lead lone life......turn poet, Pls google 4 more
not only you dear we also when ever listen this song we are same emotional like you the best music, best voice and the cherry on the cake mena kumari - our lata jee had sang all the songs so beautifully in the film that there is no word for that
wow... you are such an intuitive person. Now I get how you could just ubderstand all those songs you react to.. witout neccesarily understanding each lyrics... you just magically grasp their inner emotions.. and i am awed
Most expensive actress in that time She was born in 1934 sumthing She was thrown in a garbage junk box lot ants were biting her A Muslim man was going through that lane He saw her n picked her cleaned he was also poor He had already 3daughters But that man anyhow raised her... Mina kumari is industry given name. she was raised by muslim stepfamily Her step mom used to find rolls in films for her daughters and so for mina kumari too When she was turning a youth she was getting rolls n rolls in movies her acting won lots of 💕......
