I did remember him in 2018 as a batting all-rounder but when coming back in 2019 ashes as concussion substitute his batting was fantastic. He batted at number 4 temporary since smith was injured and smith returned, I was like put labuschagne at number 3 and it worked. That's when his role changed to batsman

@Raj Chaturbedi This is because India has only faced weak teams like West Indies, South Africa and Bangladesh. Let them first face Australia, England and New Zealand, then comment. On the other hand Australia has faced England, Pakistan( good bowling) and will face New Zealand after Pak while India has no test left in 2019 after Bangladesh test.

Aussies just have a concern, ie Tim Paine. He might be a great talent, but yet to prove his mettle. Marnus Labuschagne indeed is a great player, and he has the potential to become modern day greats. A mixture of aggression and sensible innings with lot of patience can make any batsmen thrive in any sort of conditions. Hope to see him grow more.

Mehran Pervaiz Let him land in test cricket once, then the world will see. I can still recall his technique and temperament in last WC. He will become one heck of a wicket keeper batsman I know.
