To clarify the issue on the check valve... The check valve should be oriented to allow air to flow FROM the engine TO the airbox. I just did this mod on my Champion 3500 today. The plastic clamps like they show here did not work for me... they did not squeeze the fuel line tight enough to make a good seal. Could likely be the brass T's that I got though. But when I pumped up the bulb, gas sprayed out everywhere at the T where the fuel from either tank goes to the pump. But, worm gear clamps solved that issue. As I type this, the genny is still running going on 2 hours now, and not a hiccup except for the initial fuel leaks.
Yes that worked perfect! I struggled with it all last fall would run for 1/2 then die! Changed it around and it been running for 3 hours flawlessly! Thanks for your help!
