You are so lucky to have your Mom show you how to make her recipes. My Mom refused to do so with me & she took all of her recipes to her grave. Over the years I've been able to recreate some of them, but some are lost forever. Give your Mom a big hug & kiss from me.
Awww! Mums suppose to share the recipes cause thats how they get carry forward to the next generation. Thats how the receipes stay in the family. Not just that good food unites families, improves marriage and love. Your mum's being selfish here! 😅
I made your recipe today and it was amazing!! Thank you for sharing this with your mum. The only thing I changed was that I fried the spices after the onions browned and before adding the sauce. Rather than putting the spices into the sauce. I added the Garam Masala near the end like you did. What flavour! 💜
Love this, I've only eaten chana masala at restaurants and I've always wished that there is one other thing in there with the chickpeas. I think potato is perfect.
Hi Seema! Just made this for iftar since its Ramadan and this turned out really good😋 cannot thank u enough for this wonderful recipe 🥰 much love from Canada ❤
Yaa I'm from UP, even we don't add potatoes in it, we just crush some chickpeas to make it thick. I lived in Delhi too, I saw they do add potatoes in it
She added it, there’s a written list of all of the ingredients and amounts used 2/3 of the way through the video. Pause and write it down, or take a screenshot!
@@janesays1278looks like she sprinkled a seasoning that’s not listed though she does list the lemon juice, coriander and onions. Was it an extra bit of garam masala?
how to know it's a legit indian cooking video from moms , they love to put garam masala at the end and it's their secret. foreigners often put garam masala while roasting other whole spices.
This reminds me of my nana's (grandma's) chana-batura that she made & gave me to eat as a child. So very delicious. R.I.P. nana, I miss you. I do not have her recipe, so I will make your's.
