@@ZinzanModelling Thanks for asking, first attempt at op no.5 was cancelled as I was changing into hospital gown. We try again on Tuesday. If I go radio silent for more than 2 days, it means the missus will be selling my stash and tools and paints for what she thinks they are worth.🤯🤣
A useful ignition harness diagram to wire/plumb the R2800 is given on page 41 of the 1/24 Airfix Hellcat. Scalemates w/site to the rescue! F.A.B. to view the instructions. The heat baffles, example #K-13, K-16 should have holes for the spark plug wires to pass through. The colour booklet shows this on page, 10, top right image. You are most likely aware. I always wire radial engines and used the ANYZ resin spark plugs for two, 1/24, P-47s but the engines are set far back in the cowl that despite the size are hard to see the detail enough to appreciate. No regrets, glad I did it.
Dear Marley, I know that you would write most carefully admonishing me if I should ever use a magnifier in anything other than tip top condition, so I am obliged to you for your mentioning it now! Hope all is well with you! Regards, Z
Zin, a thought came to me as you were demonstrating the Anyz braided wire cable - do you suppose it would make good control cables for rudders, elevators, etc, if one wanted to detail the interior of the fuselage? P.S. For me, the "work monster" has completely taken over the last 4 weeks of my life, and looks to continue for another 4 weeks - very inconvenient, it is.
Dear Tron, Funny you should mention control wires. Yes is the answer I would say as they are quite stiff and would remain in place well! Thanks! Regards, Z
