I bought Elementals and I’m crazy about it! Honestly, I didn’t expect to love it that much. I’m a redhead with green eyes and it’s just so easy and soft and stays all day. Normally I would have picked the warm memories but I felt I had similar colors. I’ve been loving how easy it is to blend. The lip color looks like freshly picked raspberries.
Janni D. Totally agree about Elemental quad! I didn’t expect to be so head over heels in love with it. At first glance it didn’t seem special at all, but closer “inspection” revealed a real beauty of this quad:). While I thought that it’s impossible to get anything different from what I already have, this quad is definitely different and special. The whole colour story gives indeed a beautiful, slightly washed and subtle desert picture! I have brown hair, hazel eyes and a fair skin and these colours look amazing on my complexion. I can only imagine how stunning it must be on read-heads - something out of this world beautiful! In my opinion, warm memories quad is definitely more eye-catching but pretty generic for someone who already has a lot of mauve and peachy eyeshadows
My favorite was the Chanel liquid eyeshadow. With my hooded eyes its almost better if I wear one or two colors at most. Thanks for demo. I think I already am following you on Instagram. I will go to check.
I bought the 2 eyeshadow quads Warm Memories & Elemental. I love them both, they are so different to anything I have. I also bought Rose Quartz & Desert Wind. I haven’t tried them yet but I’m loving your look & will try the Rose one on its own. Thank you Angela 😍
You look absolutely amazing in those colors! When I saw the desert dreams collection months back I fell in love with all the colors and feelings it provoked so I knew I would get almost everything. I got the warm memories quad (so wearable and gorgeous) the quartz rose eye shadow. I also got the golden light balm, the two lipsticks and the mauve eye contour and I must say I am so happy with everything. I’m on a no buy (low buy) this year so I was glad this was the collection I ended the year on. But you’re tempting me with the fuchsia lipstick 💄
Hello :) Very nice picks. I was wondering about the mauve eye contour. I also love the nail polishes (I have too many but the colors are very tempting). About the lipsticks - I think the new Camellia velvets are 100% worth the splurge. This is a great formulation - better that the other Chanel lipsticks for sure. It's so sad the are limited edition. :( I wish they would release more colors.
Really appreciate your honesty with this collection. To be truthful nothing caught my eye except the liquid shadows, but after seeing you use it - fairly certain they won’t work for me. I feel as you do, waiting to see the summer collection. The look really does look beautiful on you Angela 😊😊
I purchased the Les 4 Ombres in Elemental after returning the holiday quad. I am OBSESSED with the muted, softness. I am quite fair (blonde hair/blue eyes with freckles) and these shadows are perfect for my natural, minimalistic approach to makeup. I also purchased the Ombre Premiere Laque in 22 Rayon, 28 Desert Wind, and 32 Vastness. These have been a huge disappointment. Not matter how I apply the product, it becomes patchy and creased. They also cause some minor burning sensation on my lids as they dry down. I had them all boxed to return to Chanel, but have decided to give 22 Rayon one last chance after watching this video. Fingers crossed!
Hello Sara :) Oh don't use it if caused some burning sensation! This actually happens with some liquid eyeshadows. There are people who are very sensitive to some of the ingredients in the liquid eyeshadows. I remember I had the same reaction a few years ago but I can't remember the brand... but for sure don't use them. They might cause some irritation to your eyes which is not good! With blonde hair and blue eyes I can see why you love Elemental. The colors are very soft and muted. They just don't work on me ( I guess it's because of my very dark hair.). Hello, just came home from the Chanel store and I wanted to say I ended up buying the more vibrant quad and the bronzer! As I thought the hand swatch looked orange tinted, but I liked it's baume texture so I tried it on my cheeks. It matches my super fair olive skin so perfectly, even my brain got confused about it XD I knew it was makeup, yet it looked like I was actually on the sun, with a real tan! So just a warning to everyone: whenever you are unsure about a colour, put it on your face! :) Oh and thank you so much for your encouragement, Angela to go to the store! I'm usually shy about it, but I am really happy I ended up there!

Great video I can really see the swatches very well and that’s helpful. My favorite from this collection is the liquid eyeshadow in desert sun. I’ve been wearing it the past few days, it goes on so well and quickly! (At 6am when I’m getting ready for work!) I initially thought I wouldn’t really want anything from this collection but I got warm memories. And I love it. Same with the baum essential and the highlighter. The whole collection is really really special.
Such a helpful video Angela. I need to see this collection in store but it’s not hit the UK stores yet. The palettes seem to be a love/hate from other people but they may suit me as I am pale and I think the Elemental may suit me (especially after seeing Abby Bliss White’s video). Will definitely try the luminous lipsticks and liquid eye shadows. Great that you are not just buying everything but being selective.
I did pick up the Camelia Rose color and I do like it. I've been searching for the Camelia Fuchsia one for a while in store, but it is sold out. The liquid eye shadows look beautiful!🌹

Oh, Angela, I am so excited about this collection. I adore single shadows, and I’m glad I resisted (so far, at least) the palettes. I’m afraid they will look too dusty on me. I am trying to figure out which color in the single shadows will suit me. About the lipsticks ~ Yesterday, I received 327 Camelia Blanc. While I like its translucency and balmy texture, I had to apply many times. This will be great as a topper or on days when I only wear sunscreen. (Like you, I don’t wear foundation every day.) I’m waiting on Camelia Rose which will probably be a nude on me because my lips are quite pigmented. In anticipation, yesterday I also ordered 607 Camelia Rouge Métal when my special SA from Nordstrom texted me. Along with that, I ordered the complementary liner - 178 Rouge Cerise. Not being able to see this in person, it will certainly be a surprise. I chose this lip color because perhaps I can make it sheer and it has a shimmer, I think. Ever since I learned that Audrey Hepburn said, “There is a shade of red for every woman,” I’m in search of my shade of red.☺️ My SA said I might like Rouge Coco, 444 Gabrielle. I’m intrigued because Coco’s name was Gabrielle! It’s a true, beautiful red, but don’t want to look like I’m trying too hard. And, I must consider my age. I absolutely love Quartz Rose on you with the gorgeous lippie. It’s perfect on your glowing, flawless complexion. Everyone who helped choose the lip shade knows you well! There is a subtle warmth to the pink (but not too much to make my smile yellowish.) The color is perfect for Spring, and it looks exactly like a tone in my Tiffany Peonies Neckerchief from the MET museum. I can’t wait to see how’s it wears over time. I suspect I will be reapplying, but I don’t mind. It’s Chanel, after all.😘
I agree with you, I have in my basket a liquid eyeshadow and a Rouge camelia velvet 😊 But I am uncertain since I saw also the other release 😅. Rose Quartz looks amazing on you! You really looks fab with cool vibrant colors like this fuchsia lipstick 💄💋

I found the colors in Elemental just didn’t show up on my eyes enough. I did pick up Desert Wind and do love it. May pick up another one- that dark one on the end is quite pretty. I found the liquid eyeshadows apply best to pat it in with a flat brush after you’ve laid it down- that seemed to work for me. I like that color you got- pretty. Quartz Rose 🌹- nice! Gorgeous on your big blue eyes- So far, I’ve used the one I purchased in the center of my lid with powder shadows around it- so it’s a little accent. The Desert Wind has a pretty sophisticated sparkle to it- not glittery, but quite nice. I like the lip color on you a lot. A romantic sort of hue.
Dearest Angela, thank you for your review. I got the highlighter and the lipstick Camelia Blanc (the white one) and I love both products. Oh I also got the stick in bronze and it's so subtle and not too bronze. I think it will look quite nice on a tan skin during summer. I skipped on the eyeshadow palettes all together as the colors were not so appealing to me. I love the highlighter but use it as a luminizing powder rather than a highlighter. And the Camelia Blanc lipstick, although very balmy, has the slightest hint of pink and shine which I really like for a more natural makeup, or with a very smokey eye or as a topper on a darker lipstick. You should have a look at it and try it in the store because it is kind of special and I think you will look beautiful with it with your diaphane skin. Lots of love. Hugs and kisses from Paris

I was going to pick up Elementals but I ended up ordering Blurry Grey instead. I felt the same, I wasn't convinced I would love the light dusty shadows on my light/ medium skin tone. I had no interest in the other quad, I don't look nice in berry mauve tones such as those.

I really like the liquid eyeshadow on you brings out your eye color. I purchased the warm elements quad, rouge brulant lipstick, Camelia rouge metal and Camelia rose lipsticks through Nordstrom (I’m not sure if it’s part of the spring collection). I’m not so impressed with the colors of the quads they are just okay. After seeing your review on the liquid eyeshadow I may pick up some. The lipstick is bright and looks beautiful on you. I don’t think I can pull it off. 😆😆

I'm looking forward to see the Les Beiges collection. I hope they are going to come up with something interesting. Camelli Rose is new becasue I got it too. It's part of the new Camellia line. I bought everything except the balm (too greasy for my skin), Rayon (almost same color as my skin!), & lipsticks (too pink for me). These colors work beautifully for my super pale, green-eyed, letting my hair go silver coloring. I need a little more brown in my lip colors, so I’ve gone with the super creamy Dior lips. Also picked up the re-issue of the tweed Beige blush when I had the chance, although I’m pairing these with my 370 Elegance blush. The highlighter is subtle enough for my pale coloring & stays on all day unless I keep my phone pressed to my cheek too long. I’m another hooded eye person, so lovely to use 1-2 of the liquid colors when I’m not using the new quads. Looks like I’ll be all Chanel so long as Lucia Pica keeps designing, except for the lip colors not working on me. Curious to see what else she comes out with. Still getting a lot of mileage out of last year’s Blurry quads as well. Muted colors perfect for me. ❤️
Ugh. I’m so tired of warm colors. Also, I’ve bought two Chanel eyeshadows in my life...one in the 1990s, which I had for years, until one day I dropped it and it shattered....and fall 2019 quad. I picked it up to use it this week, and the dark green shadow fell out of its little niche in the palette. I haven’t dropped it, it hasn’t left my bathroom countertop since I bought it. I was able to carefully pop it back in, it didn’t break, thankfully..but I’m a little surprised, considering the price. Surprised that it would fall out, and surprised at how thin it really is, something you don’t notice looking at it intact in the palette. I love the way liquid metallic shadow looks when you first apply...but I find that after an hour or so, they lose that luminous, glowy, wet look, and dry down to look just like any other powder shadow of the same shade.
Have you seen the liquid and potted pinky highlighters on the Chanel website? Does anyone know when they are going to be available? Called Gloss lumiere mirror d'eau and le blanc rosy light drops.

I previously used the nars pro prime to keep that from happening but with the new formulation that one doesn’t work anymore... Anyone here with recommendations on a good eyeshadow base?
Hello :) I don't have a recommendation for a good eyeshadow base but I'm surprised that the liquid eyeshadow is creasing. Thanks for sharing that! Did you try to blend the eyeshadow with a brush right after applying it. This is always necessary to prevent liquid eyeshadows from creasing. Also you have to look down for a few seconds until you feel the eyeshadow is dry. Let me know how it works. xoxo
This eyeshadow shade matches you so nicely! I would've never thought that the bronzing stick would not match you! Was it too... Orange for you pinky fair complexion instead of bronze? If you don't mind explaining, it would give me a better idea. I have super fair but olive skin (I'm like parchment paper) and I am looking forward to the stick as I have no bronzer in my collection at all. But I'd rather not buy it if it's got an orange tint...
Hello :) To start off it's very sheer and it's somewhere in the middle between a bronzer and highlighter... It's looks terribly oily. I can't have that much oil on my face... and it doesn't bronze my face. It just made me look super oily and kind of muddy... (if that makes sense). It could work for someone with dry skin but on me - it looks awful. I can't say it's orange because the color is very sheer. But it's not for me.
@@Frenchforaday oh my... I have normal to oily skin, I think I won't risk it pre-ordering it then. I'll definitely try it in the store first. With the glass skin trend I embraced my glow but anything extra is just too much, for me too! Thank you for your answer!

I am probably in the minority but this particular collection is a big flop to me in terms of the shades in the collection. Too dull. I expect something more special from this brand. Hoping the next collection is more exciting. I really love Chanel but I am passing on this collection.
