Chanel Egoiste is in my top 5 of all time. I have a bottle from the late 90’s and it just shines! Has the lovely dusty sandalwood drydown that can’t be beat!
HYPE ALERT! I've owned Trumper Sandalwood (plus Paisley) and enjoyed but not 'loved' them as comforting 'old school' style scents. However I sampled their brand new release 'Mayfair' and was BLOWN AWAY! Out in the cold air the sillage was truly amazing!! AC would love you to review it for your impression - no-one seems to have discovered it yet! Could be a true hype beast! Your channel is fantastic btw!

Hello AC, great review! I’ve had Trumpers sandalwood for many years now and absolutely love it, especially at this time of year. Btw my son is in his 20 and he loves it too. I’ll have to try out Egoiste, at some point 👌🏼
Having tried both I decided to buy Trumper as I like 50ml for travel. That being said nothing beats Chanel's note of sandalwood...GFT says their sandalwood oil is from Mysore btw but I think Chanel's execution of that note is impeccable. From ur old GFT review I pulled it out in the summer and loved it...winter now in Israel and still a stunner.

AC you are a man with refined taste, and since today's topic is sandalwood I would like to draw your attention to something different. I want to suggest two sandalwood aftershaves which are really good to finish your shaving, and quite inexpensive also. I am talking about Proraso red and sandalo from Extro cosmesi. Give them a try.
Great comparison video AC. Absolutely love égoïste. I had been looking to get platinum egoist for some time and of course your videos drove me to get égoïste instead, and what a beauty. As for performance, kid you not, I wear 2 sprays to work and not heavy sprays, and about mid day, I’d say about good 3-4 hours after spraying, one of my coworker, standing across the room about good 10 feet minimum, was saying she can smell the sandalwood lol.
Thanks for this great vid, AC. I wear my modern formulation Egoiste to work during coldest weather; one of my fav Chanels. Though I do prefer a hated resurrection of the sharper, fuller, more textured vintage version, pains me to say, I could only wear the modern to my work. I hope to finally order the Trumper this month; will go good with my Paisleys and Euchris. While I choose both, thanks again for doing your thing. I can't wait to wear the Trumper!

When I first smelled egoiste in 1992 I got mesmereized.The first imression on me wearing it, it was like dry figs.That was the perfume that got me mad about fragrance .That scent of figs stayed in my mind for decades.since then I`ve smelled thousand perfumes,but nothing beats egoiste.Its olfactory porn

AC i am like you fan of sandalwood love it in any form synthetic & natural both the fragrances in UAE is hard to get hold of one is expensive (CE) and trumper hard to find.

I was gifted Chanel Egoiste and Chanel Antaeus in 1994. I love and use them to this day. Do you like Antaeus i seam to like this more powerful scent. Balenciaga is my all time favorite! Thanks AC.
