That set was insane. Surreal. The mirrors were simply genius. How did they convey a chill in the air so well? And what was this about again, fashion? ; ) Well done Sir Lagerfeld. Bravo.
Me too, I’m trying to understand where on earth could they have found the space, in Paris to fit a forest and all those people and models on top of that .... looks like something out of ..... another dimension ..... or something
You know, its Chanel. The formula is proven. That being said...SO CHIC. There's something about a runway look that's just head to toe in a beautiful, luxurious textile that says the height of sophistication to me. I feel like Karl has felt pressured, like so many other designers, to bow to the whims of younger clients and his collections lately have been reflecting that. But here, it appears that Karl is saying, "I'm not giving you what you often wear, I'm giving you what you should wear". The tweeds, as always, are divine, but I was surprised by those looks in the fall foliage print. Normally that would say "my auntie's Thanksgiving sweatshirt" to me, but the shapes and cuts make it elegant. He then took these exquisite pieces, that could be interpreted as too mature, and youthened it up with some post-millennial staples like the puffy parkas and bold metallics. Now we all say the same thing season after season, "Karl, you do the same thing every time"....but working within the VERY strong DNA of Chanel (this parameters are iron clad, people), this collection was a home run. It makes me so happy after the mild disaster I felt was spring.
I kinda like it, it's classic - it's chic - it's save. Karl is not having experiment on the clothes here, but he gave us "the vintage Chanel look" supposed to be.

Of all the houses, when it comes to fall/winter fashion I always look for what Chanel will present. The luxurious tweeds,rich bold colors and legendary sets are their signature and forever Mother Coco’s undying legacy. Thank you Karl for not giving us what we want but giving us what we need.
I thought the Victorias Secret fairytale runway a few years ago was marvelous but this is a whole other level, so sophisticated authentic and warm it makes me want to dig a burrow and hibernate in a boutique.
I love how the models are all wearing sensible flats in these. I just came from an older video where the models were wearing ridiculously high heels - its so refreshing to see them walk with confidence, not struggle and wobble in heels
This was a really great collection. I want to wear just about everything that came down that fantastic forest runway. The coats, the bags, the tweed suits and those metallic boots...don't get me started. The first Chanel show in a while I thought was excellent from beginning to end. It had some youthful elements, but stayed true to the iconic brand. Loved it!
Now that's what the hell I'm talking about...♥️♥️♥️! That's how you cut material to make something inspiring. The 2 pieces in the beginning are wonderful. Fabric selection is excellent. No unnecessary layers. Even the set was gorgeous. Thank you Channel. You did the damn thing. I'm in love. This collection is definitely a 10. Not one piece disappointed. Totally inspiring.
I loved the tweed paired with metallics especially the green tweed with the green black purplish iridescent metallic. So beautiful together! Loved the bronze metallic books and sparkle tights, black coats, and fur.
Beautiful Show. Took me a while to realise it was not really in the woods. Collection felt - inspired by nature. Loved the warm Faux furs and tweeds. Gave me an - "Autumn in the Scottish highland" vibe....
It's a beautiful collection of dresses and a wonderful colors and wonderful music. I love this collection and this style is very beautiful and comfortable. I love this collection of dresses that so much comfortable in city centre.
Pops of color!!! I love this so much. Still black like always but the earrings, accessories are give a lot of room to find our own charm. BTW i enjoyed the fact that there was many diverse people of color and ethnicity! It all has the old vibes and yet sweet feminine charm. Gorgeous pieces!
Again, I am not disappointed with his work. The staging was terrific.. so far, I think I liked this one better than the spring., and the 2017. The color of the boots I enjoyed much better than his silver, though the silver was marked with terrific black parts which was .. well, I liked the quirk of it. Wonderful clothes line this Fall 2018 line.. Textiles-Genius... colors superb ......several I can hardly wait to partake in!!
Yes yes yes. I adore everything about this show, snuggly warm coats and shoes that women can actually walk in!!!! Plus I often walk in the forest. This show's really his home with me.
Lol!! this was soo fun to watch. Such aesthetics. SSSSSO well put together. Very Klimpt! woww. my OCD is pleased. I especially liked the way that some dior was made into chanel. It's so much fun this set!
Terrific setting and backdrop. They had me fooled until I saw the ceiling. Great knits, not crazy about some of the black outfits though. I understand that their also showing accessories along with the garments - but some of those bags looked like overstuffed pillows. The overhead view of the model's finale was incredible - so many of them in perfect formation. Chanel puts on really good fashion shows.
No Use For A Name unless you own a huge successful fashion/clothes company or are a successful model that has been to multiple fashion shows walking for huge designers.... then you can’t say what’s fashion
Vintage meets vintage. Nothing ab this collection is now or modern x that’s what makes Chanel so perfect. It stands alone these are vintage pieces. The blouses are very! And I want every pair of boots x these bags but yes these coats and furs are vintage beauty AF! Claps Chanel, you’ve done it again. And this simulated forest, ughhh!
I'm delighted with the collection . Any woman will look in such a beautiful and comfortable clothes really great. Thank you for the wonderful musical accompaniment. As always, delight.
