Thank you for your service! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (GA & TX). I was in private practice until just before our son was born. We moved to TX for my husband's job when our son was two months old. I have not worked in the field since our son was born eleven years ago. Now, I run a nonprofit as a "hobby" or act of service. May God bless you and prosper you in this new chapter of your life. We enjoy your videos. I am SUPER EXCITED to hear you are coming to TX! We LOVE TX! We have put roots here. All of our family is back east but we take turns visiting as often as we can.
Cool! Thank you for what you do too! I just realized you created a new channel and just subscribed. Thanks so much for watching and for sharing your thoughts. I love the encouragement and am more excited for Texas now 😊
Yes! God is good all the time! Thank you! We’re excited to see how God will surprise us next. Hope y’all are well. Need to check out what’s going on with y’all 😉 thanks so much for watching!
Thank you for your service! So glad that you will be able to continue homeschooling. Love your channel! Stationary RV life sounds exciting. I hope you really enjoy it.
Thank you so so much!! We’ll have to see how this RV life will be like. Thanks so much for the encouraging words. I love your channel too. I’ve been busy to watch these days but I definitely need to catch up on your videos in the near future.
How cool to be able to choose anywhere you want to live and work! My husband was in the Air Force, too, but only for 4 years, and I grew up as a missionary kid, so I moved a lot and lived in a lot of places before I settled down in Spokane, WA.
Thanks to your husband and parents. How did you like being a missionary kid? Where overseas did y’all serve? And I hear Washington is really nice. My husband was stationed there with the navy and suggested settling down there before. It’s beautiful and so much outdoor activities!
@@TheChan7 I am glad for my MK experience in Guatemala because it gives me a perspective on life that is different than normal Americans. Yes, Washington state is a great place to live.
How exciting to get back to dentistry! We miss those close family relationships too. How exciting that you decided on the RV! It’s so funny how much we have in common. We were going to go the RV route last year.
I served as a clinician for the VA for several years before I decided to leave the workforce and become a sahm. My husband is also in the military, though not full-time. We are strongly considering homeschooling. I plan to maintain my clinical license if we go this route. Thank you for being so transparent and god bless you all!
That’s awesome!! And thank you so much. You are making an impactful decision for your family. Your children will thank you for it whether they realize it now or not. And thanks to your husband. Yes, definitely maintain your license for the future and when the kids are old enough, you could probably even work and homeschool simultaneously. Thanks so much for sharing!!
I have not lived near my family other than my sister since I have been adult. My parents have almost always been in a different country from me. My brothers live far away as well. Good thing we have an amazing church family.
Same here. I feel like God was preparing me for the moving, distant life because my parents left me in Korea until I was 3 years old while they settled in the USA and then later sent my sister and me to live with an uncle’s family in NJ from MS. So cool that your parents were missionaries. Thankful for them! Thank God for church families!
You have lived in so many places!! I hope your move currently goes very smoothly. I have only ever moved twice in my life, both after marriage. I worked until I was 8 months pregnant with my first and I stayed home and decided to homeschool when he turned 3. Is Texas a green state for homeschooling like OK is? I only know OK and NJ are green states and not sure the others. There are so many yellow states though. RVs would be fun, but not completely easy as a larger family, but definitely fun for small trips and such. Congratulations! I am all about minimal lifestyles!
I think of myself like Belle from beauty and the beast because I’ve always wanted “adventure in the great white somewhere”. I went nowhere fun while growing up in Mississippi. Marrying into the military is how I got my adventure. Haha. Texas is totally green, which is one of the reasons I wanted to go back to Texas. It’s great to hear NJ is also. I was afraid to go back to the eastcoast because I was afraid of rigid homeschooling laws. Yes, pretty frightful about the rv life with 5 wild kids but praying we’ll end up loving it.
How wonderful! I think of that song for such things too. Oh that is great that TX is a green state! Yeah, NJ has always been green! We are surrounded by red states though! Scary. I wish some of these other states by me were green. The only New England state I can think of that is yellow off hand is Maine, but perhaps there are others.@@TheChan7
Settling down as always been a alien thing to us!!! I think u‘ll enjoy being a dentist again!!! Texas is an awesome state!!! I work with a Texan!!! He homeschooles his kids as he’s travelling with us!!! We are travel schooling but the time we are at home we will be in the next state to my biological parents!!! We are in hotel rooms often as I’m travelling for work and it can be quite loud but we love it!!!
One thing you will need to think about is health insurance, especially if you are both working part-time. Does the air force cover it after retirement?
