Changes to Azucena in Patch 1.04 - Tekken 8 Balance Patch Breakdown 

We want to focus on her stances. Proceed to nerf one of her best transition moves of 1-1. Smh

The nerfs haven’t really affected my playstyle in the first place as I never really relied on her cheap gimmicks in order to do well with her. Hell, I’ve found my ability to play her has actually increased dramatically in local meet-ups if this past week has been anything to go by. I think it’ll all come down to how you specifically play her, but it’ll be interesting to see how they update her playstyle in patch 1.05. Add on: Hell, I won an open qualifier for Road to EVO with a post-nerf Azucena. I will stand by my stance that it’s entirely based on the player.

Nerfs are slightly too harsh. The WR 3,2 definitely needed a nerf, but I saw a couple unnecessary nerfs like the ff4 and d1+2. I don't think anyone was worried about those. We'll see how she plays out in the near future. I think high level play this will be significant. But casual and slightly higher than casual play won't change much for her lol. I can finally play her without ppl complaining now 😁

honestly other than the dmg nerf to WR 32 i feel this is a very well done nerf she still feels really good and it enforces players to play azucena more carefully and look for those CH off her many stance options. i was a little sad with yet another hammer to the WR 32 but ive noticed this adds a layer of mind games as if a player sidesteps or sidewalks after WR 32 you can wait for the step and punish or use a grab to track the movement. i like these nerfs i just wish that they werent so harsh on moves like her ff4 since that move was used more for mixup as well as expression rather than because it was broken so id say that nerf was very strange. hopeful for the buffs to her stances in 1.05 and will remain a loyal azu player even if she is no longer s tier!

Perfect nerfs. Pre patch Azu was one of the biggest offenders of “casino gameplay” complaint ppl have been having about T8. and it looks like the nerfs make it to where option select is more viable when fighting against her now.

Nerfing her small tekken moves really hurt tbh. The running 3,2 nerf hurts too but not nearly as bad as the low poke nerfs and jab nerfs

These are the types of nerfs that should be done across the board. Any type of nerfs or changes that prevent T8 from becoming the boring pokefest that was final patch T7 is welcome for me.

asuka running move got insane buff homing, +11 , chl ...i dont know if i can duck it point blank best i can do is standing block but with her +11 what can i do ...zzz

My pressure took a massive hit with this patch, and I’m struggling with how to replace it. The jabs really didn’t need hit like this, and seems a bit like overkill. Without anything being buffed while in stances, it just seems like your offensive options are low.

honestly as annoying as she was, she kinda got shot a little too hard here. hoping to see her get some loving back in the next couple months

Really don't understand some of these nerfs. They went after moves that didn't need to be touched like f,f,4 and db,4

She was extremely fun to use, but I will be dropping her now since these nerfs are a bit much to keep her competitive. Seems only certain characters are allowed to have bs moves and gimmicks and she is not one of them.

It's way too much in my opinion. They should have nerfed WR 3, 2 by making it possible for the opponent to avoid it and get a decent punishment, not by removing the entire payoff of the move on hit. I'm mixed on the string nerfs, on the positive side it will mean that she can no longer just spam easy strings, but I struggle to see what else she can do instead now. Her stances are still good, but it is going to be much harder to keep opponents guessing, and people tend not to fall for her auto parries anymore. I hope they buff her shenanigans a bit, some of her evasive moves are really not very useful at the moment. I would like to do more of the stuff that looked so cool in the trailer, but isn't really viable at the moment, unless you're just trying to risk everything to have a bit of fun. That said, she did need a nerf, but people were already dealing with her quite well (at least in blue ranks where I am). I think she's gonna drop quite far down the tier list this time. I genuinely like the character, so I will have to stick with her through the hard times and figure out some new strats, but we did have it easy in the beginning, that much is true.

She'll probably be fine in the long run but I'm just not a fan of how Tekken releases these characters only to mass nerf them, it just makes it feel like they fell off a cliff suddenly

crybabies who are afraid of losing, crybabies who don't know how to play, crybabies, all those who hate Azucena. Azucena is a particular character who is very daring and fun but the crybabies can't stand it because they fear her.

Should delete like shaheen

Many players will stop playing since many consumers are for Azucena and I am one of them, so I will stop consuming because of some malicious crybabies. Because of some whiners the company loses consumers.

How is it that in a game where a character has around 50+ moves, nerfing 3-4 is supposed to kill it completely? Keep coping and learn how to adapt to new circumstances

The nerfs feel a little too much for Azucena. The WR32 has been nerfed so many times that the move has shifted from OP to useless
