I have to replace the 280 wheel on my Genie. Second time in 20 yrs. BUT I seem to remember that you should draw a horizontal line across all wheels before you take them off so you can align them right when putting them back on. May be a balancing thing.
Great info. I am working on extending my arbor to include 2-4 more wheels and this has shown me a few things to watch out for. Have you been invited to the Roundtable yet? Than ks again for the upload!
This is great! Thanks. I just setup my brand new titan. With your experience, does the sealed motor get super hot to the touch? Also, my pumps seems to dripping grease on first use. Did this happen to yours as well? Thanks again!!
I got mine used so I did not get the new set up grease drip. I do not use it that much so I don't have an answer to your first question either. Maybe somebody will chime in if they see your question. Otherwise there are a few good lapidary forums you could visit and ask.
If you have questions about your Titan, I urge you to call Diamond Pacific. Someone there who is an expert on the machine can answer your question and give good advice to you. I've called them before about rebuilding the air pump on a Genie. Now using a Titan.
This would be a great question to ask on a Facebook lapidary group. The wheels should be balanced. Are they wobbly on the shaft? Meaning they don’t fit the shaft. Might need bushings if they are loose.
@@DirtCleanerVideos I can see wobble when the wheel is slowed when shutting it off. Seems to be more on the left side. I see the spacers are different size. One being larger than the other. As of now I can not get the left end off with a wrench. The machine is decent shape. I am just wanting for it to run true before I begin any lapidary adventures.
@@DirtCleanerVideos it was pretty tight on there. Needed 2 people to get it to pop. I cleaned old rock dust and grit. Seemed to help a bit. There's still a good vibration going on but not as bad. I just made a freehand sphere with the unit and it turned out pretty nice. I like the machine and definitely like the trim saw attachment. That's very easy to change out and use. Love it.
