I've looked many videos with 62TE and a lot of them seem to have seepage from the end/side cover. The area around the cover bolts is darker/damp. But it doesn't leak/seep that much to hit the ground.
I have a 2019 Caravan GT.. transmission was replaced at 180k miles according to carfax. I just bought it at 240k (Never owned a caravan before) I feel like it has loud whine or air like shoosh sound when I take off. Also sometimes from drive to reverse and reverse to drive it might turn off. Today got the P0868 Code. (No check engine light but when I scanned it that code came up) Is it the convertor?
Hi bro. I have this same problem with transmission oil leak between bell housing but so far i change new oil pump, new sealing ring and bushing for input shaft. Do you think it could be torque converter without showing codes?
I’m considering changing mine out…. My symptoms are that my vehicle rattles and shakes when changing gear…. It don’t do it all the time and it stops when I let off the gas…. I just saw another video that says the transmission fluid can overheat if left unchanged…. Now I’m getting concerned…. What are your symptoms and have you changed it out???
@@a.ced.2052 If all you are getting is rattling or shaking but it shifts, I would look for a broken motor mount or bad CV joint. If it was transmission you would be having trouble shifting and it would be making noise and throwing codes.
There are videos that describe your problem as a TCC solenoid located on the tranny valve body. Can be fixed from within the engine without dropping the tranny. Assuming you have a 62te tranny in the minivan.
When I drive my van and when I brake to a stop the car shakes a bit and you can see the needle jump a bit as well sometimes it will stall can this be signs of a torque converter I have no codes that can help me diagnose the problem
Any tricks to getting that torque converter seated? In the middle of changing a flex plate on mine right now. Got the transmission all bolted up back in place and I can't turn the motor over to get my torque converter bolts in.. I suspect a flywheel might have wiggled itself lose a bit...
I also got everything put together and couldn't turn the engine with a wrench. I had to split the engine/trans and pull the torque converter out and rotate it slightly several times until the converter was fully seated. It looks like the center hub should be about 3/8" below the mating surface of the transmission. if the hub is flush it's sitting too proud.
No, there were other issues. I'm glad I did the converter myself as paying a show about a grand and STILL not fix the issue would have sucked. In the end I installed a used transmission I got off e-bay for $2500
@milosadventures7420 well it was not my torque converter, I ended up pulling my transmission. I ended up rebuilding my transmission thanks to youtube. My first time doing a full rebuild on transmission. It's been about 3k miles so far and doing well.
I was gonna comment and ask about how long it took to do this bc I’m about to. But I can see he hasn’t replied to anybody else so I guess I won’t ask 😅
I noticed that too! I just pulled the trans on a 12 town and country and I'd say it took about 4 hrs to pull but I was drinking beer and working slow having a good time. I pulled mine to replace flexplate. I went ahead and replaced the rear main seal too. And the trans seal. But I have not put trans back in yet so I'm going to guess another 4hrs so total of 8 hrs. It's not that hard and no special tools.
