This would be like removing your garden hose nozzle in favor of full flow, because you’re worried the nozzle will fail some day. Efficiency, savings, and optimal system performance should always benefit the customer and not for benefit of convenience. Thanks for sharing!
If the part is available and under warranty, yes. The evap coils now are all aluminum Some units have 10 yr warranties--like a York brand. Installation cost/labor for me was $1950 with two techs placing in an attic.
the reason im asking is because a service tech stopped by added some freon to the system but air flow was low he told me i needed a new unit a second tech told me if the coil had ever been cleaned and it hasnt
I’m replacing a 32 year old system and coil is really clean. As long as you replace filters on a regular basis and avoid having pets inside the house coils don’t get dirty at all , it’s what I’ve seen!!
@@migiuelsalinas4721 yeah Im dealing with a clogged up evaporator causing the evaporator to freeze up, mine is really hard to clean even after the AC company came out sprayed the can of cleaner and got all the pet hair off the condenser.
