Man kids grow up fast one minute they’re picking costumes the next minute they’re absorbing cosmic radiation by running through a barrier into a false reality prison
Try binge watching Avatar and Korra. It hit so hard that I felt I was locked inside a glacier for 70 years, from the last episode of Avatar to the first episode of Korra.
Poor girl. I wonder when Carol will meet her again? Seeing her grow up. Except a tragedy happened when her bestfriend & fellow pilot has passed away. Quite painful.
@Nerd Man Maybe, let us wait for the new Captain Marvel of when they'll filming. Anyways, for the mean time let us see how she cope up & her association with S.W.O.R.D. as the main focus for her character & development.
Here after WandaVision ep5. Looks like Monica's got beef with Aunt Carol. She never came back after all those years and worst of all she wasn't there when her best friend was dying of cancer😥
I wonder if they'll meet up again, since her mother died 2 yrs after the snap and Carol returned like a few weeks after the snap, maybe it'll get revealed that she did visit Monica's mother, it would be sweet if Carol cut her hair short to support Monica's mother's cancer, but her hair was short after 5 yrs while Monica died 2 yrs after the snap so either she just cut her hair short or she keeps cutting it as it grows to continue supporting Monica's mother
HAIDER GAMING I mean cant she have a bit of time with her friend to feel normal and keep her mental health in check because constantly having people can get tiresome. Even if i dont have her superpowers i get tried just by helping out people with little tasks. Idk maybe its just a personal thing but we cant save everybody you cant ask the world from her.
uh no. monica wouldn't know if she was or wasn't there. and there's no way carol who came to earth in 2018 wouldn't know that her besties daughter got snapped or that her bestie is dying and wouldn't visit.
It's likely more than that. Considering her reaction to Capt. Marvel being mentioned last week, and especially the context of a conversation about her being an Avenger that was almost equal to Thanos wearing the Gauntlet, Monica probably blames her for not being on Earth to stop the Snap. I.e. Carol might have allowed Monica to be with her mom for those last three years if she hadn't left and stopped Thanos. Didn't just abandon her, she FAILED her.
@@BabyFoodChewer Because she might feel that Carol wasn’t there to stop Thanos from collecting all of the stones. Which of course Monica was one of the people who was blipped and when she came back she learned her Mom Maria was dead. And that maybe she feels Carol probably wasn’t there for her Mom when her Mom died. Monica lost a few years with her Mom.
I understand not liking an actor, but Captain marvel is a nice character. The only hatable things about her is that like Thor since she is powerful she has a lot of over confidence and the way she got punched out of the movie by Thanos in endgame.
@Shaima Hadi she has a God complex mostly rather than a humbled hero. She also doesn't have any visible character traits and pretty bland. Her movie felt like Disney wanted to shove a charcter down the fans throat and expected them to like her for it which drastically made the fandom hate her.
@@beardown8273 I wonder if she has them yet in WandaVision. I assume so because they talked about her missions off Earth prior to the blip. Pretty neat, the MCU really is expanding.
This Episode of Wandavision just blew my mind. Crazy how it's going back to when they reversed the snap. I like how it lines up with the events of End Game.
People not liking Captain Marvel because it’s too woke, too feminist, too arrogant, etc… which who Carol Danvers is, was, and always have been in the comics. Groundbreaking.
I wish they kept Maria alive to help guide Monica and be there for her. It sucks that they always kill off heroes' parents for "development" or some tragic backstory, and it would have been refreshing to have this very resilient, powerful hero that still relies on her mama for advice, reassurance, and emotional support from time to time. Nearly all heroes have dead or MIA parents and its cliche and tiring as hell
The next-to-last color scheme is a nod to the original colors of Kree Captain Mar-Vell's uniform in the comics (the original Marvel Comics' Captain Marvel -- he literally didn't have a superhero name, people just misunderstood him giving his name and rank).
@@boringperson-zb8vy you finally get to see Monica that she does have her powers the vehicle the areospace engineer made did not work so she wasn’t able to go thru the hex but she realizes she can just push herself straight through and she gets into westview oh also Agnes they reveal that she is agathaharkness and she was control Wanda and also she was controlling quicksilver to
@@boringperson-zb8vy and also the aerospace engineer we didn’t get to see it this episode and also Darcy and vision talk about what happened in infinity war and how Wanda had to kill vision but thanos reversed the time and killed vision himself and agnes takes the kids to her house because Wanda is having a little mental breakdown and she tells her kids she doesn’t know all the answers and Wanda is kinda loosing control of everything in west view because when she went to go make cereal the milk kept changing
Yeah it took me a while to realize that black lady that’s in wandavision was actually her being this little girl from captain marvel here wich is crazyyy!
One of my favorite Marvel posts on Pinterest comments on how Carol’s suit is a relative rarity among female superheroes: A functional full body covering that provides ease of movement and doesn’t sexualize the woman wearing it. I recently thought the same about Nakia’s combat suit in Wakanda Forever, and how Shuri as the Black Panther completely subverts the whole “sexy catsuit” trope.
Tbh I always thought the girl was the most OP. She never freaked out seeing aliens with her mom, she always spoke like she had the most wisdom despite her age and an absent father and she is working alien tech like it's nothing.
I think she has abandonment issues with Carol. There was probably a time that she needed her but Carol was busy saving the universe or carol may have returned to earth and didnt bother to visit monica at the time she needed her the most.
captain marvel took place in the past and there was an entire war going on between the kree and the shrulls or whatever and its still going on the only time carol came to earth was when thanos snapped half the universe out of existence shes a hero of multiple worlds so its hard for her to stay on earth
@@evanissinging true but there's a lot of blank spaces here. Like if Maria made SWORD how'd she get in communication with the skrulls and why would the skrulls dare travel without Carol. I feel like Carol did come back at some point but only for a brief amount of time and left. Also the first 3 years after the snap. Carol was there. If you watch Wandavision, Hayward brings up Carol as if he met her...and I have reasons to believe he actually did. Maria introduced her to SWORD and since Hayward is working there at a high rank, he met Carol
@@iSaintRichie23 you say that like she did it willingly and Monica was Snapped so while she was gone Carol took care of Maria and even cut her hair for her 😶 Get Outta here incel
@@yoo562 Oh yeah, Carol took care of Maria, almost forgot that never happened in the movies Whatever convinces you that Carol wasn't shown repeatedly saying how she can't help Widow on Earth cause other planets need her. After the Blip? Yeah, Carol couldn't give a fuck to see where her friend was. Now you're making shit up to cope with your bs head canon. But hey, she *cut her hair for her* what a true friend haha the mother was even killed off-screen so even Marvel didn't feel like taking care of her xD Yo, I'm more emotionally moved by Widow dying her hair and Steve growing his beard and then also cutting it - true heroic actions
@@iSaintRichie23 bruh Maria was dead when she told widow that she can't help like look at you here typing a whole ass essay for ur insecure masculinity and to hate on a character with a billion dollar franchise 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it honestly makes me snort and sad at the same time
@@yoo562 So, six sentences is considered a whole essay? Either you're not too bright, or you can't actually defend your point. Maria is dead.... and Capt. Marvel never took the time to see her friend to see her. Absolutely no mention of it in the movie or the show - pos move there. This was five sentences - I apologize about writing another whole essay for you to sift through.
And they were clearly a gay couple with a kid and Carol here skipped out on it. But as it wouldn't sell to China we are going to pretend that isn't the case.
Carol obviously felt compelled to spend the 5 years of the Blip travelling the universe helping people with their Blip crises. Makes you wonder if she ever took the time to check in on Maria during those 3 years, which Monica wouldn't know.
Is it just me or did it seem like in WandaVision, Monica was avoiding Captain Marvel? Darcy and Jim mentioned her and then she sort of just zoned off and looked away and proceeded to say "We're not talking about her, we're talking about Wanda."
She's a female it's clear. People hated black panther because it's about black people. People hated the eternals before it came out because of a scene that came out of a gay couple. It's just like that. People keep trying to come up with different reasons but that's not true
Thus is true! And Captain Marvel had nothing to do with feminism and making her op because of that. Carol was already strong enough to take on the sun in the comics
To everybody who didn't actually care or know...the kree suits have full automatic functions that can be operated through ones thoughts I guess. But the tech on the hand is for if the suit is damaged and needs manual control. Monica was not changing the colours here, Carol was. She was just being sweet to the kid
@@jamiefairest9109 huh, now that I look at it again, I can't tell anymore if it's a black and white color scheme or gold and black color scheme because of the way the lighting hits the outfit. Curse you mild color blindness!
No this was the scene before she went to space to face the supreme intelligence and Ronan. Carol and the others did leave Monica but they came back and when Carol left earth for good, she was wearing the jacket. She didn't mean hold on to it till I come back years later, she meant fill I come back from space in a few hours lol
@@honeymunch1273 it only makes sense cuz marvel loves to give women over powered abilities as a big nerf because most women in marvel that has overpowered abilities don't know how to control/use their powers and love to have anger issues and to also harm their own teammates it's acc annoying asf.
Brie Larson is one of the finest and best actresses. I don't care about the hate she is getting for the role of Captain Marvel. But she performed great in this role. Couldn't imagine anyone else for this role. ❤
Honestly I wouldn't leave this suit no matter how much I hated the kree. It's the only suit that won't burn completely when Carol uses her powers and enters the atmosphere 🤷🏾♂️. The suit is indestructible and has so many useful functions, why would anyone leave that just to do the cliche "I'm a superhero designing my own suit" movement
@muhd nabil and so is the suit. Imo it's the most beautiful super hero suit ever. I mean wouldn't you want to wear that? And then imagine she got to wear for most of the shooting time. That is why I call her lucky.
yall missed out on one of the easiest references you could've had, Monica was captain marvel and had a black and white outfit with more or less the same pattern, why didn't they make that one of the opinions she picked
Monica's suit wasn't exactly like Carol's rip but also this is about Carol not Monica. The colour change has a reference to Shazam (who used to be Captain Marvel), a reference to Carol when she was Ms Marvel in the comics, a reference to Mar-Vell, and idk about the neon one but it is something
After the recent WandaVision episode I’m wondering if Monica and Carol had some kind of falling? She really wanted to change the conversation when Woo brought Captain Marvel up.
@@axlrose9054 two characters were talking about the avengers who almost killed Thanos(Wanda and then Captain Marvel) and Monica seemed annoyed when they started talking of Carol's powers origin, so she changed the topic of the conversation
It's amazing her suit can change through the entire color spectrum..... red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, black, and white..............
I love that she goes from the Shazam colors (red and yellow, he uses to be called captain marvel), the Ms Marvel (black and gold) costume (her former alias in the comics ), the Fear Itself (the neon one) costume and the Mar-Vell (white and green) one from the Ultimate Universe. Lots of easter eggs on this scene. The only good one from the whole movie.
Yup. In the comics Mar-Vell was the first Captain Marvel and Carol got powers after him but she didn't take his name, she went by Ms Marvel instead. Monica went by Captain Marvel before Carol but Monica kept changing her aliases so Carol also changed which become Captain Marvel. Honestly if you ask me Carol deserves to take that name it makes sense since she's taking over the original Mar-Vells missions and purpose. But anyways Carol and Monica had a thing of changing their names a lot cause Carol went by Ms Marvel, Captain Marvel and Binary. Monica went by Captain Marvel, photon, spectrum and warbird
